Every makeup junkie spends at least 15 minutes trying to make sure their brows are perfect. I used to spend nearly 30 trying to get them right. Now, thanks to Summer, my brows are phenomenal. I was nervous about doing something so drastic as microblading but it wasn't nearly as intimidating as I thought...and pretty much painless. Summer has a calm and relaxing office, she numbs your brow area and maps out precisely the right shape for your brows. Down to centimeters! I went to Summer for eyebrow microblading, using a Groupon coupon. My appointment was in the late afternoon. She might have been tired, having a bad day, wanted to get home, I don't know....but she only asked me if I wanted the eyebrows to match my hair. I told her yes, but I wanted them to look natural, not "painted on". She proceeded to do a lot of measuring, and took her time doing that. She asked me several times if I was nervous, and I said YES. She never cracked a smile, and never told me what she was doing, and of course I didn't have a mirror. She waxed underneath my brows, never preparing me for it, she obviously wanted to get started and finished quickly. There was another client in the room next to mine, she and her esthetician were chatting about personal things, I never saw them or knew who they were or who they were talking about, but Summer turned on the radio, which was close to my head, to loud STATIC so I couldn't hear the conversation. This continued until she was done with me, still not asking if I needed anything or was OK with what was being done. When I was done, I looked like a freak, with dark, thick eyebrows which were not what I was expecting--the receptionist said they would fade and they'd "be beautiful", and I was to return in 3 weeks for a touch-up, which was an additional $50. When the darkness faded away a little, I noticed that the one end of an eyebrow kind of "tilted up". The other eyebrow was okay. I thought I should take some peroxide and try to bleach it out, and also tried to mask it with makeup, neither of which was successful. I did NOT go back for the touch-up. Not because of the additional expense, as I got a bargain price for the Groupon, but because I never wanted to see Summer again. She was rude and made me feel uncomfortable. Might I add that I am 67 years old, and maybe she felt like she was wasting her time with me. That's how it made me feel anyhow. Will not be going back, ever. read more

I just had my 4-6 week touch up with summer last week and really wanted to give a review once it's completely healed, but after reading the last couple negative reviews I figured I'll do it now. I just want to say I LOVE my eyebrows and I'm so glad I did them. I was so nervous because eyebrows are a pretty important asset to your face and having a semi-permanent tattoo on your face is a pretty big deal. But I did it anyway and summer was great! She was professional both times I went, she didn't really say much at first because she was concentrating on my eyebrows before the procedure, I think mapping my brows (or whatever is called) took longer than the actual procedure because I think she wanted to make sure it was perfect, once she had the "rough draft" version, she hands me a mirror to make sure it's the shape I wanted, and I wanted to make some changes so after a couple corrections she did it just like how I wanted it. I apologized for being picky and she responded with "I can't do your eyebrows until it's the exact shape you want and that you'll be happy with" :) that made me feel better. So then she puts on some music so that her clients are relaxed as we lay there. The 1st time I came in, she put on a relaxation or meditation instrumental type of music, which was ok. But the 2nd time I came in, she had some easy listening music from the 80's-90's and we both were kind of singing along while she was doing the procedure. I don't remember her asking me what color I wanted but i feel like it was my responsibility to speak up and make sure she knew what I wanted so I was prepared! So I asked her what the color options were and told her what I wanted and we were good to go. The eyebrows are waaaay darker once you get them done. I think anyone who's gonna have a tattoo on their face should research on what to expect, a quick google search will tell you that they lighten back up in a week and then darken again and then after a month that's the color it will be for awhile. The 2nd touch up is for the areas that she missed during the first one and some more pigmentation I believe. I will update a new photo once everything is healed, in the meantime. I'm 100% satisfied with my brows and will continue coming to see her once a year for my $50 touchups. read more
