STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!! Honestly I wanted to write a good review but this was absolutely a horrible experience and the owner, Saskia, has horrible customer service, unethical, and overall it seems that her only agenda is to make the most from you there! I left the studio in tears and want to give everyone a forewarning before you decide to book with her. I reached out to this studio earlier this year to book my session for my first borns newborn photos. Her work looked great and I wanted something special for our first child. Her prices upfront were crazy! I know photography is expensive however I know in other places you can find things a lot cheaper. Unfortunately out in VA and North Carolina, which is where I live, the prices are steep compared to other places I've lived. There aren't many out here so I think that's why they're able to up the prices. Dreamy baby did have some cool sets for pictures and ultimately that why I went with her. So I guess in December 2024 there was a promotion where you pay $500 for a $600 gift card...basically $100 off your session. I contacted her after December and she said that deal is over but if you book right now I'll let you use it. I said perfect do you usually have other sales? My son wasn't due till early April so I was willing to wait for a special since it is A LOT of money. She said this was the only sale they do. So I jumped on it and booked. LITERALLY a week later she comes out with an email that has another special for booking. I did the calculations and it came out to be $90 cheaper than what I was going to pay. This should have been my red flag to find someone else. I'll include the text messages but basically I just felt she was super shady. I also saw she had an all digital package and when asked about that she said that she no longer did it and will be taking it down from her website...but it's still up there. So then comes the day where my son was born, I texted her the following day to let her know he was here and to schedule us. She booked us for almost 2 weeks later and we were set! Our session was for a Thursday, the 24th and the Friday before, the 18th, I reached out to let her know what props/backgrounds we wanted. I never heard a response back to confirm anything. Then the day before our session, 23rd, I reached out again because now I have no clue if we're good to go or not because I hadn't heard anything from her! I asked what we needed to bring and this lady tells me then that she had a price increase to the packages. On MONDAY...a few days before my appointment...is when she tells me there is a price increase. Not when I reached out to her that our son was born, not the Friday before to confirm, and not the day the actual prices increased. NOPE! She texts the DAY BEFORE OUR PHOTOSHOOT that there is a $200 price increase! I was livid! Again I booked with her, paid the studio session fee to save a slot, back in January! And I reached out to book before this price increase. You're telling me that if she would have seen us a little earlier I wouldn't have been slapped in the face with this extra $200!? I just felt this owner/company has no morals or integrity. My son had already been born, it's not like I could book with another photographer because most of them ask to book in the third trimester at the latest so that they could get them in for pictures before 2 weeks of age. Upon showing up to our appointment my husband asked about this price increase and seeing if she will honor the price that was originally what it had been for 4 months since we booked it but continently increased 3 days before we showed up. She said no and basically I had to sit in that appointment trying to be friendly to this woman. I left there in tears spending around $1500. Because other hidden fees included shipping of the pictures and of course almost $90 worth of taxes. I left crying and am praying that over the years I don't look at the photos of my son and remember this person. So I highly recommend taking your business elsewhere. read more

If you're looking to have photos taken this is THE place to go. She does it all. I first went to her after a failed new born shoot at a chain department store. I was devastated. She got me in quickly and made my ideas come to life. She is so great with the babies and gentle. She even has a warmer to keep your little ones snuggly while she shoots. She has an amazing supply of props, outfits, bows and back drops. She's also so great to her clients. She runs holiday specials, mini sessions and even small parties with gift bags :) once she completes your order she puts so much detail and care into the packaging and it's just beautiful. I highly recommend using this studio. I'm never disappointed and my children are so comfortable in her studio it's hard to get them to leave. read more

On May 9, 2017, I purchased a Groupon from Dreamy Baby Studios for a smash cake session for my soon-to-be-1-year-old. The Groupon included a 1-hour photo session, one 5x7 print, and a proof book for $59. I called and scheduled my appointment with the studio with no problems. Later, a friend also purchased the same Groupon and tried setting up an appointment. The owner stated that in order to use the Groupon, she would ALSO have to purchase a photo package, which starts at $200! There was NO information about this on the Groupon. I contacted the owner to ask about this and she said that, yes, customers would have to purchase a package in addition to the Groupon and that she had told me this when I booked a session (which she had not). After numerous text messages, she finally told me she had called Groupon and requested that I be refunded my money and that I should call them within 24 hours to verify. I called Groupon, but they had no record of anyone from Dreamy Baby Studios contacting them about any matter. **As of today, 6/6/2017, the Groupon remains the same with no mention of having to purchase additional products from the studio once the Groupon is purchased.** read more

My fiance and I went for a newborn shoot in September 2017 after being referred by another friend who had nothing but great things to say. We went and absolutely fell in love immediately! The atmosphere, the prop and backdrop selection, the vibe was amazing! Saskia and her assistant make you feel completely comfortable and offer an amazing experience overall especially being first time parents. We tried several baby/kid-friendly/family photographers before finding Dreamy Baby. NOTHING compares to this studio. Maternity shoots, family sessions, newborns, cask smashes....even an outdoor session with our family dog - Saskia embraces every idea and challenge to make the experience enjoyable, relaxing, fun and amazing. The studio is warm and welcoming, but still light and airy. Her assistant was incredible at entertaining our older kids during our newborn session...and the two of them together can get even the toughest kid to crack a smile for the perfect shot. As for price/product comparison - you get SO much more than what you pay for. Saskia's work is impeccable and her prices/packages are so affordable that even a single-income, military family can afford to purchase professional prints and digital images. Saskia has been our photographer for YEARS! She cherishes each client and makes each session a memory to enjoy.
