I was looking for a maternity photographer in Virginia - and I found Rare Rose Imagery on yelp! I went on Erica's website & inquired. She emailed right away and we were able to talk through email, texting and a quick phone call. What I loved about Erica was her fast communication through email/texting. At the time that I found Erica I was in California and I had my (now fiancé) speak to Erica a few times because of our time difference. Erica and Tony kept in touch with planning our session which made it super easy for me to just focus on outfits. Lol! I let her know I was looking for maternity & outdoor photoshoot. She exceeded my expectations. We confirmed date and time then she let me know the location few days closer to our photoshoot date. Erica certainly knows how to pose (Tony & I) since were not photogenic lol. We received our photos in a drop box pretty fast! She emailed me the link. Our pictures were edited as well. Edited to perfection. Overall - Erica is such an amazing photographer! Super friendly, super fun & social! My maternity shoot turned into an engagement shoot towards the end of our session. Erica has been a friend of mine for a while now, and she's done two shoots for me. I went in to each shoot expecting one thing and coming out with photos that far exceeded any expectation of mine. She's a wonderful photographer that creates such beautiful art. She's got such a keen eye for beauty and elegance, and I wouldn't want to go to any other photographer. The first photo shoot that I did with her was for my senior portraits in high school. I was expecting to receive mediocre photos, since they were just for a high school yearbook. Erica took them seriously, however, and made me look and feel beautiful with every shot. My yearbook teacher ended up telling me that she was nervous about using those pictures because they, "looked way better than the generic ones that everyone else gets". The second shoot she did was with myself, my husband, and my daughter. After working with Erica once before, I knew to expect greatness, and she gave me more than that. I couldn't help but smile at the photos she sent back to me. She captured the love that my family and I have for one another, and I just couldn't be happier (she gets extra points for being so gentle, caring, and sweet with my daughter!). They set up the time and date and she was at the gym early waiting for us to arrive. The pictures were creative and exactly what we wanted.
