The hotel exterior and common area are nice. However, the conditions of the room is very disappointing and disturbing. The room we were staying in is moldy and when you walk in the smell is pretty bad. It looks like the water damage has been there for a long time. Looking at the condition, it has been an issue for at least over a month. There is black mold through out the entire room. The hotel is super busy and when we checked in at 4ish the room was still being prepared and not ready. This is very disappointing as a Hyatt member and before was a Globalist. This is the first time seeing a Hyatt hotel being in such bad shape. Also the room was super loud (being near the giant ventilation generator system) and the AC would not go below 20 degrees. The room was not in a very clean state either. The hotel/resort is all inclusive. Food and drinks are good. Activities are somewhat lacking. It is by the beach. The hotel is rated 5 stars on travel website but seems like up keep is lacking in areas that are not common areas. We told the receptionist about the condition and they said they will have someone to come up to take a look and nothing was done. We asked for incense sticks hoping that it would help but for them to get us the incense was another hurdle. I am very disappointed with the room condition. We ended up sticking with the moldy room for 7 days because nothing was done. We were willing to accommodate with the incense sticks but to get them were so hard. Out of 7 day stays we managed to only get 3 incense stick in total. Please see photos of the black mold in different areas. And the dirty house cleaning. Another room was or switching room was not even an option provided or willing to assist with by the hotel. We paid $600 per night for the all inclusive stay and this is what you get.

The resort is family friendly and the amenities are great. We booked the room with the semi- private swim out pool and I recommend it for anyone that has little kids. Although there is a kids pool, it was nice to have a pool at our doorstep while the little ones took a nap. Where this resort really stood out for us was the service. There are severe gluten and dairy allergies in my family and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate us. Moncerat and Frida coordinated with us and made sure we had safe and delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner options. At the buffet, Javier, Daniel and the rest of the staff went above and beyond to make sure our food was prepared according to our needs. We can thank them enough! For dinner, we mainly ate at Tamarindo, which is the Mexican restaurant. Alma, Humberto, Ignacio, Oscar, the guac guy, and everyone else were extremely understanding as well and also made sure our food was prepared safely. I can't say enough good things about them. They are the reason our dining experience was so great. And the food (and Margaritas) was really good!!! Our stay was amazing and it was due to the attentive staff. Thank you Alma, Moncerat, Frida, Javier, Daniel, Oscar, Humberto, Ignacio, guac guy, and the rest of the staff for an amazing experience. We will be back!

We arrived in early October for four nights to celebrate the hubs birthday and loved it! The staff were very friendly and helpful, hotel is very clean and there is lots of food options. This resort caters mostly to families with kids, meaning small kids and essentially rolls up it's sidewalks around 11 o'clock at night. You can literally hear the crickets after 11pm. If you're looking for a place to relax and bring your kids then this is it. On the verse side, if you're looking for a place that has more night life, music, drinking and dancing this is not it. The resort is on the small side with three huge pools, each pool has a large shallow area for kids to play in while the parents sit in the water. There are 6 restaurants that you can choose from but really there's only five with two that switch on different nights of the week, this is to remain in compliance with vacations unlimited minimum of 6 restaurants. For the most part its all you can eat buffet style food, not bad but very edible. On par with Golden Corral and a bit better than hometown buffet. We had a top floor ocean view which also gave us access to a VIP appy & snack area. We appreciated that you don't need a reservation for the restaurants so you're more free to decide last minute what you feel like eating. The Italian and Sushi restaurants require men to have long pants and a collared shirt, so guys make sure to pack a pair of jeans and a polo shirt. I really loved Cafe Coco which is a coffee shop on the property that is also included in the all-inclusive and hit that up daily for espresso fixes and pastries. They have a stocked mini bar with drinks in the room, the hubs enjoyed the mini (2 gulp) Coronas! And I appreciated the large bottles of cold water. The rooms are large, clean and have fantastic views. There is a Jacuzzi on the deck but it's about a foot and a half of water, to enjoy you need to lay in it. I've stayed at several other all-inclusive's nearby and this is one of the better ones in this area. We're planning to stay at Secrets next which is supposed to be better as in more luxurious and better quality food. Some rooms do have a musty smell due to the humidity, we were here in October which is high humidity and had to switch rooms after our first night because of my allergies. They also use scented toilet paper which I am sensitive too, so BYOR LOL! We will definitely be back with the baby!

We had our wedding there. Amazing, we and our guest had a great time and our wedding went off without any issues! Even had a hurricane the night before but the staff made sure the entire place was clean and ready to go! Our butler Ricardo was amazing and took care of our needs including some rare requests like getting my father in law suspenders right before our wedding! Friendly staff great atmosphere and good food! Was a great resort to stay and will definitely be returning one day

I'm only reviewing to offset the complete BS from the lady a month ago. This resort is amazing. We went with our two small children (6,4) and had the best week ever. The restaurants all have amazing menus and everything we had was delicious. All of the staff was great, everything was spotless and in order. If I had to complain it would be on several of the rude, entitled people I came across while there. Witnessed so many people not know what manners or common ass decency to say "please, thank you" it was disgusting. This is a beautiful resort in a beautiful part of the world with amazing people who are there to make sure you have the best time possible. THEY DO JUST THAT!!

For my 1st review of 2015 let's go international. I'm going south of the border to Mexico and reviewing the resort I stayed at in Nueva Vallarta. We stayed here in Dec 2014. We picked Dreams based on hearing good thing about the resorts from friends. We also looked for a place which had a direct flight from SFO since we have a young child with us so it minimized on the plane and airport time. Well that actually didn't work out too well as the flight to Mexico was delayed 5 hours. This was due to bad weather at the airport. Nothing we can do about that but we were really looking forward to getting to the resort and relaxing. We finally arrived at the resort later than expected, we were supposed to be there at around 5pm but end up being there at 10. When we first arrive the bellman take our bags and we check in at the front desk. The bellman also gets us welcome drinks which consisted of beer and pina coloadas. No issues there and we get our rooms squared away. All of the food options were closed but room service is available 24/7 so we go with that option. The food is ok but after a long wait any food was good. We stayed for 4 nights and had a good time. Here is a review of all the services. The rooms here are huge. You get a nice large room although the bathtub in the middle is a little odd but nothing we couldn't live with. I also had a great view of the pools and the ocean from my balcony. The balcony also had a hot tub but I couldn't be bother to fill it up. The mini bar was stocked well with sodas and beer and were refilled everyday. The staff here are really good and do a nice job. The entertainment team was really great and they run a lot of activities and shows. One of the workers there named Ali was really cool to us and our group and she did a good job of getting people at the resort involved. We watched 3 of the shows they had and it was all very good. Star Wars show was really fun but maybe a little risque for the kiddos. The food here was just okay. It's an all inclusive resort so I guess it could be expected. None of the food got anyone sick or tasted bad. There just wasn't anything that great. The best meal we had was on the Mexican night where they had a taco stand with different types of meat as well as churros and Mexican doughnuts and hot chocolate. We didn't get to try the Mexican restaurant but I'm guessing that one might be the best as the Mexican night food was good and we were in Mexico. Rooftop Bar - We went to the top almost every night at 6 when it opened. It was never very crowded and we were able to get some sushi up here. No one got sick and the sushi was decent. The view for the sunset is really nice up here though and they had some nice decorations for Christmas. The pools here are really good for young kids especially the middle pool which was really shallow. They were never over crowded and the drink staff helped keep us hydrated while waiting around. The beach here is not too big - the water is warm but not super clear. You can rent some water sport stuff on the beach on your own like jet skiing and para sailing. We didn't do much since we were just there to relax. Overall I liked the resort but the food could be improved a little. The staff and the entertainment team did a nice job we had a nice relaxing trip. Price wise it is a little more expensive but for what we went there to do it was about right. Didn't have to fuss with transport or food choice or anything it was all there.

Fantastic hotel if you plan to do nothing and just relax. It's approximately 20 minutes away from Puerto Vallarta in Nayarit Mexico. Hotel offers about five different restaurants three large pools and several bars. Not a luxurious hotel by it does offers activities and amenities to keep people interested. We spent seven relaxing days and just enjoyed lounging around each morning and evening on the resort. If you do choose to leave the resort, it may cost you about $230 to $250/pesos or $12/each way. So if you plan on going to downtown and enjoy the nightlife this hotel may be costly to get to and from the downtown Puerto Vallarta Boardwalk there is no shuttle service. We did venture out for an afternoon to take in the sights and enjoyed the local food. Rooms were recently renovated in Tower 2 but it does not offer any ocean views. Food was delicious each night and the shows were all very entertaining. Hotel caters to children but they do offer activities for Adults but there is no nightclub on the property. Staff was friendly and courteous but they do solicit you to consider a time-share investment but after the second day they tend to recognize you and leave you alone.

Brunch Time!

Upon entering, you are greeted by the concierge, already great impression. When we arrived, we were made feel like family. Everyone at this resort is so kind and attentive, from our host Carlos, as well as Fernando, to the kitchen staff, the Chefs Silvano and Armando who prepared a beautifully presented ceviche de pulpo with shrimp and shrimp agua chile soooo goood, even the fresh fruit with mozarella salad . Our server Oscar also kept bringing delicious drinks and continued to check in with us. Even when at the pool bar, our bartender Cristo was super attentive held every conversation he was having. At the end of the night we were treated to a beautiful Mariachi Show, greeted by our hosts, some margaritas, the catrina and her mariachi partner (who by the way, are the sweetest!) Once we took our seats, we had a beautiful view, and of course appetizers followed by some delicious tacos al pastor The entire experience was one for the books! It sure was and will continue to say, AMAZING! I definitely see myself returning.

The "upgraded mini bar" for which we paid an extra $3K
Marisa U.

This was one of the worst travel experiences I have ever had. We booked a last minute vacation over NYE. There were five of us traveling, including a child. We were looking for somewhere child-friendly, yet high-end. Dreams website boasts "elegant accommodations and unlimited luxury". Further, the description of the Preferred Club sounds so nice, that we chose to upgrade two rooms and pay double to have those amenities, which was just under $6K per room. What a rude awakening. The resort is simply disgusting. If you read reviews online saying anything otherwise, they're simply a lie. The only difference between the preferred club and a regular room, was an "upgraded mini bar service". Everything else was nowhere to be found. And the upgraded mini bar was so funny that it could have been a skit on SNL. Please see my attached picture. It's three airplane-sized liquors and a dirty bag of chips. Simply awful. Remember, we paid double for this. I knew right away that we'd need to leave the resort at once. I spoke with the manager, Heracio Flores, many times to figure out what to do. After we found space at Grand Velas down the street, Heracio told me how we could get our money back. He said to write a letter stating all of the problems we had and why we checked-out, then to email that letter to MLT Vacations (who our trip was booked through), then they would contact him to either approve or deny our request. He'd then approve the request and we'd receive a refund. He said this happens often and this is how it's always handled. I have no reason not to trust this man, so of course I thank him and we're on our way. We arrive home and I write my letter, documenting everything as Heracio said to do. I send off my letter and think nothing of it. Three days letter an email arrives from MLT Vacations with Heracio's response. He said that he did all he could to please my family, but there was nothing he could do. He said he offered to upgrade the third room to a Preferred Club -- meaning give the third room three airplane-size liquor bottles and the dirty bag of chips -- but we wouldn't accept. He said he could not give us our money back. As you can imagine, this was awful for many reasons. Please stop reading reviews online about Dreams. If you like to travel with high-end accommodations, you'll be so disappointed.

Dreams VIllamagna All-Inclusive Resort Booked through: Costco Travel, Jr. Suite, May 2017 AIRPORT: -Now when you land, you will go thru a hallway where there are "free" margaritas and a bunch of official looking timeshare people that want to trick you into doing a timeshare presentation for free massages/upgrades/excursions. ESCAPE, I REPEAT ESCAPE. They look official but no they are vultures! Run! These timeshare presentations are ruthless. Yes u can say no and get your freebies but u loose 3-4 hours of your VACAY, feeling of guilt or anger/annoyance and they try to knock your self-esteem when you say no (for the weak hearts) RESORT: -Beautiful FAMILY resort - exactly what you see in the pictures - 3 large pools, beach front with drink service, amazing room (costco travel offers the jr suite includes bathtub in the room next to the bed and PATIO JACUZZI - highly recommended). Yes like other reviews, the room is spacious...too spacious to be honest, the bed is great (amazing sleep), however yes if you use the bathtub and Jacuzzi often, it can have an odor (from the moist), but what do you expect...we just turned on the air conditioner or fan and it was fine. -FAMILY resort, meaning there isn't much to do after 8pm....my hubby and I are young adults and yes the drinks and bars were great (great variety of drinks! Fruity ones too ladies!). But....if you want to hit up the night life or party or drink a little more with your wifey/hubby/friends....you would have to take a cab to to downtown PV (u can exchange pesos at the front desk (recommended, cheaper that way). Itll be $6=120 pesos each way. if u pay USD, itll be double. SERVICE: -Everyone is amazing and treats you like a king and queen. They were so nice and really want you to relax and enjoy your vacation. We tipped a lot because they were honestly so amazing (positive vibes all around), which really does brighten up your vacation! -Room service was great, but they do let you know that itll take 30-40 minutes which is true. They check you in wherever they go and Im pretty sure they call the room service to clean your room when you check in at a restaurant. We loved it! The room is beautiful (but if youre a young adult and have some extra money, go to SECRETS PV 's jr suit (sister resort) which also has a Jacuzzi (better) in the patio an bathtub inside. It's a lot nicer and luxury...and its adults only FOOD: -TERRIBLE...I feel so awful to say this but all my reviews are blunt for my fellow peeps and I have to be honest omg. No reservations for the restaurants needed (great!) but the food was horrible omg. Oceana: Seafood....omg mahi mahi was ruined by their sauce (I should have aske djust mahi mahi alone), clam chowder was like pea stew with no clam... Portofino: Italian, probably the best. must wear semi-formal wear, men, no flip flops, no short pants, no tees or short sleeves. It was Italian and maybe the best of all but was still bad. Seaside: Other side of ocean and has more steaks but it was closed when we came. Wish we were able to try! The Patio: Mexican, but was not good. WHY IS THERE NO CHIPS AND GUAC EVER. World Café: Their buffet indoor and outdoor. There are theme nights like Mediterranean, Caribbean or BBQ but it was...not good. Gohan Sky Bar: Sushi/bar, not fresh sushi, high do not recommend BUT you must go for the view! Very nice and especially to lounge at. -I love the resort in terms of the rooms, pools, beach front, drinks and service BUT I unfortunately I do not recommend the food! In my opinion, I think carnival cruise has better food ): ENTERTAINMENT: -During day, we went to the beachfront where we were able to reserve chairs/tables, it wasn't a problem but we did go early. The beachfront is amazing, highly recommended, take a nap out there but no wifi. Theres the peeps that try to sell you think which was fine, t-shirts, souveniers, tattoos, towels....I was looking for a coconut to take a pic for my IG but was not happening. In the pool, it was easy to reserve seats in the shade (but we are early birds). we had a Bluetooth speaker and Spotify on at the pool (wifi near the lobby is good), it was like a las vegas dayclub with drinks and floaties (bring your swans, doughnuts and noodle floaties). We had it poppin but we brought the supplies. -They have aquatic volleyball, beach volleyball, beach soccer, ping pong, tequila tasting class...depends on your crowd. Also I think they rent out boogie board, kayak, snorkel gear but when I was there no one rented it out....waves were little high and the water was cold so I stayed in the HEATED pools (sometimes it was too heated..) EXCURSIONS: -We did Vallarta Adventures, I rec you just wait until u go to the resort bc you can bargain. see my review there. Hope my review was helpful for everyone. Trust I really want to recommend this place bc their service was great and I feel like I owe them one BUT I have to warn my fellow peeps...u don't come here for the food...

My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta for a wedding, and since…read morethe accommodations were already chosen for us, I didn't read any reviews beforehand. But after seeing some of the mixed feedback now, I was honestly surprised. It seems like this place can be very hit or miss. Thankfully for us, it was definitely a hit. We were there for three nights, and overall had a great experience. Our main complaint would be the food, which we found to be mediocre overall, though there were definitely a couple of standouts. Next time, I'd skip the buffet except for the freshly made stations, which were the only part consistently worth it. We really enjoyed the teppanyaki at Tamari, and the fish and shrimp tacos from Blaze were so good we had them twice during our stay. On the other hand, dinner at Blaze was unremarkable and we were disappointed with the pizza and zeppole from Melanzane, though we didn't get to try anything else there. I do wish we had stayed an extra night or two to explore more of the dining options, though based on what we experienced, we may not have missed out on too much. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and helpful. Special shoutout to Rafael at the club lounge bar and Lizbeth at reception - both were a pleasure and made our stay even more enjoyable. I was also surprised by the size of the gym and the variety of equipment. I made sure to get at least one workout in and really appreciated the incredible ocean views while doing so. We visited in February and never felt like the resort was overcrowded. In fact, some restaurants seemed surprisingly empty at times. One thing worth noting: they have pickleball courts and a basketball court, which we didn't see advertised anywhere. We would've packed our pickleball gear had we known, but fortunately they provide equipment you can borrow. They also offer activities throughout the day - we mostly enjoyed the evening bar shows. I'd definitely recommend downloading their app to keep track of the schedule and access other helpful hotel information like menus. Overall, this was a very enjoyable stay and a strong positive experience for us. I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because the dining experience didn't quite match the rest of the resort. While the food could be more consistent, the friendly staff, beautiful setting, amenities, and relaxed atmosphere made it a memorable stay.

We used a resortpass for a day pass here and enjoyed ourselves…read more The buffet had plenty of great options - don't sleep on the salmon, as it was absolutely delicious, as were the potato tacos. We spent most of our time at the adult pool which was a lovely location with an infinity pool, hot tub, and drink service. There was also a great view of the beach, which seemed very private. The atmosphere in general was relatively relaxed and upscale, and not too many kids, but maybe it was off season. Overall, would certainly go again!

All rooms have a deck facing the ocean, allowing for great sunset views and whale watching. The small beach has built in cabanas and staff will bring lounges or chairs to you. Immediately in front of the beach are large rocks, which break the surf but obstruct the ocean view. The resort has an open air restaurant and bar with excellent views of the ocean. However, service is inconsistent and the food is unremarkable. Similarly, the bar serves a variety of drinks but are mediocre. Restaurant and bar staff are slow and not motivated to provide good service. The resort uses an arcane and cumbersome method to have you sign receipts for your food and drink orders. Much better food, drinks, and service can be found in restaurants and bars throughout PV. Other small hotels and condominiums surround the resort but there is a pharmacy and small convenience store less than a half a mile away and can be walked to along the main road. If you rent a car, parking is minimal, maybe only 6 or so spaces. Taxi service is quick at the resort. The southern edge of PV is about a mile walk along the shoreline through a mix of beach and rocky sections, and likely not passable during high tide. Overall, our stay was pleasant. If you are looking for a quiet place and not picky about food, drinks, or service, you may like Lindo Mar. However, there are better and more modern resorts to choose from in the PV area.

As we're driving to our Airbnb late in the evening (it's really dark and can't see much) we finally saw this restaurant and it was opened so we decided to stop by after settling in but turns out they just closed! I kindly asked them what other spots can we go that's nearby and not in downtown and the waitress recommended me Lindo Mar. We called to make sure they're open and they were also about to close but the guy said he can take us if we come in 5 min. We took an uber there and asked again if they can take us and it was close to closing and they kindly took us! I was so appreciative and felt bad for staying late when they were about to close the kitchen but during our time there, we didn't feel any rush, the servers were so attentive and welcoming. So thank you Lindo Mar Resort! Now about the food, I was craving a burrito so I was disappointed they don't have burritos here so I just got the chicken fajitas and my fiancé got the beef fajitas. They were both really good and cooked well done even though it was all late and we were the last ones. Unfortunately it was too dark to enjoy the views but sitting right by the ocean and hearing the waves in the quiet was still beautiful. Now I know about this spot because you wouldn't think it's a restaurant when you pass by. Would love to stop by again but during the day to enjoy the views more!

Everything was handled seamlessly, and they made our evening feel very special. The food was excellent from start to finish--the shrimp tempura, satay selections, sea bass, desserts, and drinks were all consistently high quality. This team truly operates at a five-diamond standard. No confusion, no unnecessary upselling--just genuine hospitality and a focus on delivering a great guest experience. Bring your devices if so inclined. Full service accommodation. Giant modern kitchen. Before arrival, e-mail management with your shopping list. They do the shopping for you, stock the suite with everything that you ask. No restaurant. They provide a private chef to prepare world class meals. The Emiliano Zapata groovy section of town is a 5 minute drive. But it is a supreme 25 minute hassle to walk. The hill is extremely steep, going down is a knee killer and going up can cause a cardiac arrest. A taxi ride is 70 pesos. If you are lucky enough to ever get a one week booking here, it will be a lifelong memory. Well, unless you are British royalty and have slept in the Taj Mahal. Even then this place will win over your heart.

This hotel has my utmost respect. We were staying here when the cartel violence in Puerto Vallarta…read morestarted and we were told to shelter in place. This hotel took care of everyone. The workers that couldn't go home were housed. The guests, like me, that were checking out were allowed to book another night, even though they were in a sold out status. The hotel mgmt took care of all of us in such a beautifully kind manner which allowed us to find some safety while the town was burning due to the car fires. The property is right on beach, has a family pool and adult swim area with hot tubs in both areas. We booked a hotel room that had a small pool access from the patio. They have 2 swim up bars, a children's play area, spa and an excellent workout room. I was told they will be renovating the hotel this summer 2026, which is needed in some areas, such as the spa. It was a very enjoyable visit other than the cartel action and I would stay here again if I come back to Puerto Vallarta.

Food: Several excellent restaurants but Buffett pricey, instead a 15 min walk to marina area for much more reasonable food. Great ice cream in lobby, opened til 11:00 pm too ! Gift shop needs expansion. It could be a money maker if it had more products to sell. Bummer. Water was pricey! 5$ for a bottle. Room: beautiful and get an ocean view. The sound of the ocean at night is awesome! Pillows were Devine.

This was our second year staying at Garza Blanca Puerto Vallarta, and once again, it exceeded all…read moreexpectations. From start to finish, the experience was exceptional. The food is consistently delicious, with a great variety of options across the restaurants. Every meal felt high-quality and thoughtfully prepared. The staff truly make this place stand out--they are incredibly friendly, attentive, and always seem one step ahead when it comes to service. We especially loved the variety throughout the resort, from the different pools to the bars and dining options. There's always something to do, yet it never feels crowded or overwhelming. The location is also a huge plus--close enough to downtown Puerto Vallarta to explore بسهولة, but still feels like a relaxing escape. A special thank you to Rod and Alejandro at the pool for their extra attention to detail--they went above and beyond to make our stay even more enjoyable. Lastly, we left some items behind by mistake and their staff took great care and urgently shipping our items back to us. They gave us so much peace of mind after a great trip. We highly recommend this resort and are already looking forward to coming back again! And when you go, please tip them generously! They deserve it.

Just had my 3rd trip to GB and left incredibly disappointed. There's a large decline in quality…read moresince 2018 when I bought my membership. They're pricing their food and spa like a 5 star hotel, but providing 2 star service. Hoping this can provide management with constructive feedback. - CONSTRUCTION: the noise is inescapable (beach, towers, and Mousai). Tower 4 was terrible. The tile saw ran continuously from 7 am to 7 pm. It was a LOUD chorus of power tools for 12 hours EVERY day. - You hear EVERYTHING from your next-door neighbors due to the adjoining doors. There's zero soundproofing, and the tile floors echo everything. You might as well have a paper curtain dividing the rooms. - You are required to meet with the 'concierge' after you check in. Their real goal is to get you to sign up for a timeshare presentation. If you decline (like me), they will refuse to book services for you. - The concierge didn't meet with me when I checked in (even though it was during normal hours), and instead sent me informal WhatsApp messages for 2 days in a row (with no explanation of who they were, so I didn't reply). They then said it was mandatory to meet with me to orient me to the property (I'd already been there for 48 hours at that point...) and they wanted me to take the trolly to the lobby. I refused, and instead they came and found me by the pool. - There are only 2 restaurants open for breakfast (for the AI plan), and the earliest option opens at 7 am. This left me with no option for food when I had to leave at 7 am for an excursion, especially frustrating since I'd already paid for that meal with the AI. - At breakfast, you are sandwiched between couples doing their timeshare tour (at least 50% of the restaurant guests are on a timeshare tour). You are constantly overhearing the spiel and awkward small talk over their free breakfast. After a week of staying there, it was honestly nauseating. - If you have any sort of limited mobility, there is no way to enter the Panorama pool without walking through 6 foot tall water fountains (that's the only place with stairs). If you don't want to run the fountain gauntlet, you have to straddle about 3 feet and hope you don't faceplant into the water. - Food prices are all over the map, mostly way overpriced. Cocktails are ~$25 USD, a sushi roll ~$25, a side of plain rice was $8. The prices are so steep that it essentially forces you into buying the all-inclusive plan ($155/day) Spa prices have risen a ton. A 50 min treatment runs $220 USD, a 30 min 'add-on' treatment is $150 USD. - The spa experience has gone downhill since my first visit in 2018. They no longer stock routine amenities like razors, and one day the sole container of body lotion was missing, and the sauna was broken the entire time I was there. Not a huge deal, but annoying when you're paying nearly double the price from your last visit. They used to be great about offering a cup of herbal tea and a small snack after your treatment, or a cold face towel after the sauna or steam room, but I was never once offered any of these (I had 3-4 separate trips to the spa). Just felt like the staff didn't care, or didn't want to be there. - Pool chairs: the best pool chairs are permanently reserved for 'elite' members (aka big spenders), even if they're not planning to use the pool that day. Being a regular member doesn't cut it. Us 'common folk' are left to the less desirable chairs, which were almost always in use or had wet towels on them - The music at the beachside pool was loud and terrible. They were blasting club music at 11 am. If I wanted that vibe, I'd stay at the Hard Rock. - A staff member comes to the pool daily around 3-4 pm and flips over the chair cushions for the night. It was midafternoon! It felt unwelcoming. - The amenities/toiletries in my room were never restocked during the week I was there. Again, a small thing, but it all adds up and is not 4-5 star service. There were more service issues throughout my stay, but I'm out of space.

They made us feel right at home and really made us feel like they cared for their guest. Actually tracked the taxis and ubers who took their guest out to town. The pools were clean and well cared for. Wait staff as well as the breakfast menu was ample and food was delicious. We attended a wedding and in my opinion this facility did a fantastic job. The food was good, the DJ was a class act. I would use this venue for my wedding, if I wasn't already married, LOL I highly recommend this resort and we plan on returning and this is the place we'll stay My whole family can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay at the grand Miramar and the town is beautiful.

We were handed wrist bands for our stay. We were walked to our room and all of the "to knows" were explained to us. Breakfast Breakfast is free at the hotel. There are several options that are on the buffet to choose from. You can also ask for an omelet that will be made in the back kitchen and brought out to you. I did not see many people ordering omelette so I'm not sure it's expressed too much but it is an option. Bedroom Our bedroom was ocean facing and it was very beautiful. The room itself was very clean, and super spacious! Location This was my only knock on the property. Because the Grand Miramar is located on top of the hill/mountain you will need to take a cab or uber to the romantic zone. Over time the Ubers or taxis add up in price. If you are looking for a beautiful property a few minutes from the main city area than this is the one. If you are looking to be right in the city center then this is not the property! With the property so high up on the hill, you will get amazing views!!!

We stayed in a two bedroom suite and it was beautiful, super spacious, comfy beds, and a really nice shower. Room service was solid too which is always a win on vacation. The restaurants overall were good. The Asian spot was tasty, and there is a steakhouse included, but it was pretty mid. We ended up paying for the upgraded steakhouse for a better dining experience and that one definitely hit harder. One of my favorite parts was the rooftop bar at night. Great views, cozy seating, good drinks, and even hookah service if that is your thing. The whole place has that modern, upscale vibe without feeling stiff. Definitely a spot I would go back to when I want a bougie but fun getaway.

This is one of the rare luxury resorts where vegan dining feels intentional, abundant, and genuinely excellent, not like an afterthought. Every restaurant on property was able to accommodate my dietary needs with ease, creativity, and enthusiasm. * Hiroshi deserves a special mention; the vegan chocolate cake is out of this world, and the vegan sushi options were some of the best I've ever had. * Dao was incredibly accommodating and happy to veganize anything on the menu. * Blanca Blue had many delicious vegan options that were clearly labeled on the menu. *BocaDos Steak House even offers a dedicated vegan menu, which was both thoughtful and delicious. * Noi the Italian cuisine restaurant was so accommodating and made me the best vegan veggie mushroom pizza, different types of breads and sauces, and a vegan dessert. They also make vegan pasta and risotto! * The pool bars were also fully accommodating and happy to customize dishes. Some of my favorite vegan items throughout the resort: * Vegan tacos * Fresh guacamole and chips with salsa * Jicama ceviche * Passion fruit and raspberry sorbet * Lattes with plant-based milk Room service was just as impressive. Some of my favorite foods to order were: * Almond milk oatmeal * Fresh fruit platters * Lattes and tea * Vegan chocolates * Veggie fajitas The staff was knowledgeable, kind, and proactive about dietary needs, which made the entire experience feel effortless and relaxing. They even surprised me with a vegan chocolate cake topped with fresh berries for my birthday! If you're vegan (or traveling with someone who is), Hotel Mousai is a dream destination. I felt completely taken care of, never limited, and genuinely excited for every meal. I highly recommend it and will absolutely be returning.
