They cleaned our room every afternoon (which in our experience ins post 2020 world is not the norm). Everyone that worked there was so friendly! We brought two dogs that got all of the love from them! Also dog stay free I have never seen that (we travel often with our dogs 23 states our dogs have been too) normal it's an extra $30 pre night! It's in the heart of a very nice very safe town! You can walk to the grocery store, Walgreens, stewards, and a sub shop!

Called the front desk and he said, there are no other rooms available and the hotel automatically switched us to this one. The front desk guy was very nice and I felt bad for him having to give us this news. The hotel itself is acceptable. We drove along way and we're not given what we paid for. Thumbs down.

Now for the negative... Toilet was wobbly (not even bolted to the floor), shower has step to get up to it, no towel bars, had to run water for several MINUTES before it got hot, bathroom so tiny they had to put the sink OUTSIDE of the bathroom door, 3 too-puffy-for -me pillows, slight air-freshened smell upon entering, no coffee maker (And no 24-hour coffee in closed-at-night office, safety latch above deadbolt improperly (ineffectively) attached, no clock, no tissues. Envelope on desk/table with hand-written note that said, "We rely on our tips. Thank you." I'm being kind with a 2-star rating, as no harm was done and I did sleep.

Shady-looking characters lurking the grounds at all hours of the day and night; I suspect this is the hotel in this town used by social services to house mentally ill and disabled people. The location is good, but there are two much nicer hotels within walking distance of this one, Red Roof Inn and Holiday Inn Express. If you need to stay in Malone, I highly recommend one of the other two hotels I mentioned over this one.

beware bed bugs ... my friend and i , are traveling nurses . we booked this hotel because we were…read moreon a budget. even though the hotel is dated i decided to book because the reviews stated the rooms were clean ! we drove over 5 hours in -19 degree weather just to find out hours later while getting ready to go to sleep i look over and i see bed bugs , not 1 not 2 but a whole heap of them , i called the front desk person to the room , fiirst he was in disbelief, second he claimed the matress was brand new then he stated they had a previous guest, then he tried to say we could have brought them . for some strange reason the manager is hard to get in contact with and they refuse to issue refund !! (Come to find out Manny is indeed the manager, he lied and said he wasn't ) i have pictures . he also picked one up and smushed it to see if it was actually a bedbug . will never book with these people again .
