My all time favorite part was crossing the small river we needed to cross during the ride. The trail itself was beautiful. There is so much green all around, which is new to me since I am from Arizona! I was told there was a potential to see a black bear so I was always on the lookout for it, I wanted to see one so badly but we unfortunately was unable to see one. They probably knew I wanted to see them so they hid from us. This two hour ride was absolutely worth it! There were multiple spots during our ride when the guide would ask if we wanted to go faster and the whole group said yes. It was quite fun & unique to be on a horse cantering. My husband and I truly enjoyed this experience and we 100% recommend this adventure!

Four of us were ranging from beginner to semi-experienced riders and Jim made it easy for us, and the river trail with the gorgeous valley views was awesome. A big thank you to you, Jim, for your "Stetson" advice ! We'll be back for a longer ride soon, even though the 1 hour ride turned out to run a little longer...we were in no hurry and all five seemed to enjoy each other's company. Magic.

I was up the ridiculously scenic Squamish Valley and stumbled across the ranch with these beautiful…read morehorses and ponies. I like exploring and thought I'd check out the "Trail Rides" sign. Jim and Vinny were super chill and up for heading out to the river. They asked me if I'd ridden horses before. Which, I have, half a dozen times or so. They saddled up Shade for me and off we went. :D He tried to walk into some low branches at first to test me! Lol. But, fortunately I'm intelligent and experienced enough to know you can steer a horse. After that he was pretty good. We crossed 2 small arms of the river, turquoise water! Then came out to see the river valley like something out of a wizard book! So coool! Mountains and waterfalls, forest and river! Very surreal. It was sometimes a narrow forest trail with some reasonably shallow crossings. Shade did try to test me again. So, having confidence and at least a bit of practical experience riding smart horses in varied terrain made it fun and exciting. If you are a super beginner, it may not be for you. But, anyone who loves amazing scenery and actually knows how to ride a horse would have the time of their life for sure! So close to the city, yet felt a world away. They offer one hour trail rides for $60…read more We reserved as a group of 6, we signed the waivers, and then we had to drive to another area 5 minutes away, where all the horses were. They had all the horses ready for us upon arrival. Andy, our guide, checked our experience with riding horses, and then paired us each with the appropriate horse. I got the tallest horse, Sonia. This was my first time riding a horse so at first I was a little uneasy. Andy eased us into it so that we all got comfortable with our horses. He then lead us on an hour and a half trail, bringing us to different terrains, and having us going at different speeds. He was also nice enough to stop at one point and take pictures for all of us. Beautiful scenery, and it was very relaxing. We went at different paces at different stretches of the ride, so it gave us a full on experience. A very pleasant ride, it was my first time, and it was very enjoyable!

Five star all the way. Went for a ride today and it was the first time I had been on a horse in…read morefour decades. Judy (the guide/owner) was fantastic. She gave me a horse to my level, gave my little hints as we went along, rode to my level. But there were two other more experienced riders along and Judy made sure they got a chance to gallop (which I didn't want to do) so she met all our needs. I had such a fantastic time. It was so professional. I can not wait to go back and I would highly recommend.

Just Spent a horrible weekend at this place for a wedding…read more Upon arrival - Waiver signatures for everything in the place. And I understand why. The stairs/railings going to the second floor of the Cowboy's Inn are suffering from dry rot. Lean hard against them and you could be in for a tumble. In the bathroom - a sign from the ministry of health declaring all water used at BBGR "MUST" be boiled. Query to staff - "Oh, water is safe to drink, we just haven't taken the signs down" btw - water tastes bad and smells. No alcohol, soda, snacks available - NOTHING but horrible tasting coffee, tea, and lemonade. Temp went down to 5 degree C that night and my friends room had NO HEAT. At a BBQ that evening - they ran out of food. The hamburger I got was "RAW" Most of the staff are ill mannered, ill trained for taking care of guests. Only got one smile and that was the morning we left - Quickly!!!
