Before this examination, I have only heard, "Oh, you need this crown, that root canal, etc. This morning at Brenham Family Dental, the doctor (after studying x-rays and examining) said, "Well, you have a little problem over here, but I don't think it will give you any trouble for several years." It was a refreshing visit .... and it won't be the last. I and my family will be using Brenham Family Dental for my regular dental care. I cannot remember the last time I looked forward to my next dental appointment.

The overall vibe here is small-town in the worst way: outdated, uncomfortable, and seemingly proud of it. The dentists themselves are shockingly inappropriate. One of the dentists told my husband, that he just met, that he was going to spank him if he didn't brush better. They're also overbooked, disorganized, and way too busy to be giving quality care. Even though I had confirmed my appointment ahead of time, they texted me at 5:15 pm the night before my 9:00 am appointment asking if I wanted to reschedule. Between the staff, inappropriate comments, outdated atmosphere, and chaotic scheduling, I can confidently say I won't be back.

Smiling and happy to see you. Always kind and concerned. She listens to every word you have to say. She is leaving Brenham to relocate to be with her family and to teach other future doctors. They have been blessed to have her as a mentor. Brenham will be void an excellent doctor such as Dr. McDonald. I recently found out Dr McDonald was listed in my network again so I made an appointment to re-establish her as my PCP. Unfortunately I had to miss that appointment because I was unexpectedly called into work. When I called to make another appointment I was told someone would have to call me back. Eventually I got a call from someone in Dr McDonalds office saying "the doctor will only agree to see you again if you're serious about treating your condition" and then mentioned my recently missed appointment along with a few missed appointments in the last 2 years. I'm not too sure how many appointments I could have missed when Dr McDonald wasn't even my doctor but what i learned from this experience is Dr McDonald must think she is the only doctor around. I'll be more than happy to take my family's medical needs elsewhere rather than putting up with her condescending BS, who does she think she is anyway?

I called to make an appt for my husband with Dr. Simons. The office staff said they thought my…read morehusband needed to be seen as soon as possible so the scheduled him with a nurse practitioner. The nurse practitioner did not listen to our needs or concerns about his health. We asked for new inhaler that would be better for his breathing, but she completely ignored us and instead wanted to prescribe blood pressure pills even though he doesn't have a high blood pressure. When I tried to schedule another apt with Dr Simons sometime in the future, they told us that it was company policy that we couldn't switched drs. Picking your dr is a patient right. If they are ignoring this patient right, what other patient rights are the violating?
