Dream Cakes are a lovely little independent business that makes everything themselves, from the cakes to the icing, the staff are highly talented and creative. They make amazing little characters and people look-a-likes out of icing to suit every occasion. The shop is full of photographs of previous creations, revealing exactly how the store owners can capture people's imaginations. I've been in there to get a cake made from my Grandad's 90th Birthday, and they developed an amazing little figure of my Grandad doing his gardening. Additionally, you can choose exactly what type of cake you want, so you don't have to stick to the typical sponge. I bought fruitcake for my Grandad, which was then decorated accordingly. By the time it's decorated, you really feel bad eating this piece of artwork, but obviously, the freshness and flavour tastes as good as it looks. Where can I start. This cake shop has made my day! I needed a picture cake for a birthday and I only had 2 weeks before occasion. I am glad I came across this shop on yelp. I saw they have pretty good styles of picture cakes on their website so I contacted them through email. Within 24 hours I got a response back and they considered doing my order even though they usually need far more advance notice for picture cake! WOW! I was very thankful and I was able to email them a drawn out picture of what I want on the cake and the picture I want on it. They were more than happy to do that for me. They even suggested me be a better design for the cake than I originally planned. That was very helpful! I was even given the opportunity to pick a best time for the delivery of the cake! When the cake finally arrived on the day it was just at the perfect time and it looked WAAAAY better than the picture!!! It was a sponge cake and good frosting and the cake tasted just like you would expect it was a very good cake! I am very pleased with the service received from Dream Cakes Studio and I would recommend this shop to anyone! Give them a call or email them. They are more than happy to help.
