I cannot recommend this salon…read more
I visited the salon for root coloring, a toner, and, most importantly, to ensure a seamless transition between my roots and the different color on the lengths of my hair. Unfortunately, the result was not what I had expected.
During my appointment, I mentioned to Manuela that I travel frequently and would be away for one to two months. Less than a month after my visit, I contacted the salon via Instagram, sent a picture, and explained that I was unhappy with the color transition. I had also asked friends and other people in the hair industry for their opinions, and they agreed that the transition was not right.
Initially, I was told I could come in so they could assess the result. However, when I tried to arrange an appointment, Paco, the owner, refused to offer a complimentary correction, explaining that the two-week grace period had already passed.
I had never been informed of this policy during my appointment. Given that Manuela knew I would be traveling, I would have expected her to explain any time restrictions for adjustments before I left the salon. Paco insisted that this was an industry standard and something everyone should know. I strongly disagree. Customers cannot be expected to know a salon's specific policies if they have never been communicated to them.
What made the situation even more disappointing was the way Paco handled the conversation. Rather than trying to find a reasonable solution, he became rude and dismissive. I eventually decided to end the phone conversation because it was no longer constructive. I was not willing to pay additional money to correct a result that, in my opinion, had not been done properly in the first place.
Unfortunately, this was not my only concern. During the coloring process, I told Manuela that my scalp was burning intensely, but she dismissed it as normal. When I raised my concerns with Paco, his response was essentially, "How am I supposed to know how intense the burning sensation is for you?" I found this response particularly unprofessional and lacking in empathy. I also experienced conjunctivitis after my visit, although I cannot say for certain whether it was related to the salon treatment.
Considering the prices charged by this salon, I expected a much higher standard of service, communication, and customer care. Instead, I left disappointed with the result and even more disappointed by the way my concerns were handled.
Poor results, poor communication, and very poor customer service. A professional salon should care about the quality of its work, listen to its clients, and communicate its policies clearly rather than expect customers to know unwritten rules.
I would recommend looking elsewhere, particularly at newer salons that may offer a more customer-focused experience.
