I had been looking for a good, reliable barber for almost 4 years. I found The New VIP Barbershop through Facebook. After looking at their work , mainly Craig's, I decided to schedule an appointment. On my first visit I first was greeted by Craig then the whole team. When I got into Craig's chair he introduced himself and we talked like we knew each other for years. The environment made me feel at home and it is always positive speaking. i never heard any cursing or bashing of women like other shops. With that being said it is very kids friendly. I also like the convenience of booking online and you are guaranteed that time slot when you arrive. He also remembers the cut I want and it is perfect every time. Moved down to GA over five years ago and was is desperate need for a barber after a month or so of being down here. I went to few barbers that were Awful. I then resorted to cutting my own hair for a few months, which was cool but I didn't have that crisp barber haircut from cutting my own hair. I was referred to this shop by my girlfriend who told me they were good with kids. I booked an appointment online; that was different. I was pleasantly surprised at the barber as he greeted me by name and sat my son down in the barber chair. The place was clean and they had most of the chairs stacked up because of covid-19. The barber turned the TV to Nickelodeon as he cut my son's hair. For the first time my son didn't cry and he sat still. When he was done he gave my son a lollipop; nice touch! After moving to Georgia, it was very difficult to find a barber in the McDonough area for both of my boys. One of them would always complain about their haircut after we left the shop. Locating the shop and Craig was a last minute, ok lets try them thought. My boys loved him and the haircut from day one. He not only cuts their hair, but he takes time to converse with them about school and any extra curriculum activities that they are involved in. I have been coming to Craig's for a long time. I have to say that as far as personal treatment, he rates above all. Very professional, no vulgarity, and he does a great job cutting various styles. I appreciate that he has always remembered exactly how I like my cuts, and the towel shave is old school professionalism at its finest. Mr. Craig gave my son his first hair cut! Six years later; he is still the only barber that I let cut my son's hair. He personalizes his service by sticking to the appointment time and allowing my son to watch cartoons while in his chair. He also displays great patience because my son does not always hold still. Craigs VIP is a great shop, I like the fact that I can go to any of the barbers and get a great breadline, and cut by appointment, so I can get in and out. Craig's shop has the feeling of an old neighborhood barbershop that you used to go to with your father and grand father. You can talk sports, politics, etc. My son and I have been getting haircuts by Craig for well over 7yrs and the service is excellent and I always recommend my friends and family to him. I was a little skeptical about this shop because they only had 3 reviews but I figured I would only get a shave. After watching a few of the guys cut while I was waiting I saw that they were good. Great skills and reasonable prices. I have 2 teens that are sensitive about their hair. I've tested other Barbers, but none compare. We had to relocate closer to the boys' Academy, but the drive to McDonough is a must, no one else will touch their hair. Craig is The Best ! read more
