I am an annoying wannabe camera nerd, so when I say this I do not say it lightly - Stephanie and…read moreJohn made our engagement pictures to be the most beautiful pictures I have ever seen. True, I have a bias, I recognize that . That aside, the pictures were wonderfully framed, they were so well composed I couldn't pick a favourite. Each one captured the emotion we felt, and did it so elegantly. I wanted to print each and every one! Each one was timeless (to us) and each one was just perfect. Our friends also commented on how beautiful the images were and they were! Putting aside the fact that pictures were just sublime for a moment, what else makes this a 5 star experience. Stephanie was responsive, communicative and thoughtful in our conversation. She was available via email and telephone and replied more swiftly than I would have even expected. She not only came thru with helpful suggestions for the day, but took time to come early and help me figure out what the heck to do when my original plan fell thru for a lack of attentiveness on my part. There is something to be said for the expertise and quick thinking on her part which enabled the day to go thru smoothly. While I would have gladly paid a lot more for the pictures, and it is hard to put a price to such a wonderful moment in our lives, I must say she is very reasonably priced. So great price, great communication, great results. My only grief here I could not give them more stars than just five.

I interned with them this summer and watching and working with them is an experience I will always cherish! They always go above and beyond for their clients and are incredibly kind people. So I will start off with the day of our photo shoot. We were told it would be a 30 minute shoot and…read morewe would receive 3 sheets for $59.00. Our photo shoot was totally rushed about 20 minutes in all. We were wanting family of 4 photos and our two boys photos done. When we scheduled the appointment we expressed that we would like to purchase the rights to the photos, we were told this was an option and that we would receive all the edited photos in an app. We show up on the day of our photo viewing and the girl working was just finishing up putting a slide show together of about 20 photos. We view the slide show and she begins to go over prices going all the way up to the mid $600's to get everything. We tell her what we were told and she said she would burn the photos to a disk. So we go that night to print off the photos that my wife and I have been waiting for, we can't print them because all the photos are low resolution. So we call and email Tracy she says she will make a new disc and leave it in the drop box, so we drive back out to Mason for a 3rd time to get the disc. Tonight October 29th we go to get pictures made load the disc and we find that none of the pictures are edited or touched up. We make it work touch them up ourselves at the place we are having them printed. Go back 3 hours later to pick up the canvas prints we had made, they won't give them to us because Tracy did not give us a release saying we could print them. Now myself not being a photographer would think if I were a photographer being in business I would give my clients a release so they would not run into problems. Very frustrated after spending over $250 for a 20 minute photo shoot, getting the wrong disc, getting a new disc with unedited photos, now not being able to print the photos. ******************On a positive note********************** Tracy was very good with out two year old, getting him to laugh, and getting him to pose. The studio was absolutely beautiful and the sets and props she has available at her location are amazing. *******************Update******************** So I wanted to update my review, after a few emails back and forth I was able to get my pictures printed. I received our canvas prints today and I must say they are absolutely amazing. I would have gave Little Rascals and Tracy 5 stars if it were not for the few mentioned problems I ran into along the way. I would definitely return and recommend her to anyone looking to have high quality photography.

Lion & Ram Studios- Hamilton Ohio.

This is the Hamilton studio - recently added to Lion & Ram's offerings. Much like the rest of Lion…read more& Ram's stuff, it's a beautifully designed studio that has been made out of an older building. In this case, it was clearly a residential building before Lion & Ram got ahold of it. I rented the Carley studio. NOTES: -The Hayli studio is downstairs. The Carley and Addison studios are upstairs up one flight of (semi-steep, narrow, old-house stairs). The stairs seem sturdy and have a very sturdy banister. -You may/may not run into another human. Your studio will be private to you during your rental, but the common areas may have other humans. -There are two restrooms (both equipped with shower; unsure if you're allowed to use the shower). One restroom is upstairs in the common areas and the other restroom is downstairs in the common area. -There's a gigantic parking lot right behind the building. You have to take an alleyway on a different side of the block, but it looks like the parking for this area (which includes a lot of residential) stuck a parking lot for all of the residents on the interior of all of the homes on the block. I recommend following Google's instructions and driving around the internal parking lot it took you to until you see a sign for Lion & Ram on a brown fence. It's at one of the corners of the parking lot. PROS: -All-three of the studios in-building have a dedicated hair and make-up room - complete with mirrors. The rooms are also brightly painted and gorgeous - and can (easily and very happily!) double as shooting rooms when you're done. I actually spent more time shooting in Carley's dressing room than I did in the main rooms! (I did not check to see if there was a door for privacy between the main shooting rooms and the dressing room, but with a private bathroom down the hall from any of the studio rentals, it's possible to have someone change there.) -In the middle of one of the hotter days this summer, the Carley's AC was on and it was a comfortable temperature. I was SO thankful for that. -Lots of shoot-thru objects if you get creative. The chandelier in one of the shooting rooms works great - or there's some greenery to shoot-thru in the dressing room that hangs off the ceiling. -I could die for this brightly painted, purple dressing room. It translates so beautifully in pictures with natural light only. Partnered with the greenery in there, it's clearly the shining star of the entire studio. -All of the furniture seemed very sturdy. No plasterboard furniture that won't hold weight. Some of the furniture seems a bit on the older side, but none of it seemed concerning, and the roomy couch and oversized leather chairs will work great for larger-frame clients too. -It's definitely a smaller studio - nowhere near as small as their Reese Studio (which is, quite literally) just a storefront. You can easily shoot up to groups of 3 in here, but I'd start to look into other studios for groups larger than that, or you might get some distortion. It never felt *too small* though for couple's work. -Everything is immaculate. Like always. There are small props (like a sprig of greenery slipped into a faux skull or steampunk glasses on top of an open, old book) that really make the attention-to-details here stand out. CONS: -Honestly, I have pretty much none. This studio, like Lion & Ram's other offerings, is flippin' gorgeous, as always. Everything is intricately put together, works great with natural light, and the "set-ups" that are there to make great photos always are cohesive and good-looking. Lion & Ram has a serious talent for that - which is why I keep driving an hour just to rent out their studios. -My *only* note would probably be that you'll want to bring a secondary hair/make-up chair for larger clients if using this for client work. The director's chair that's in the room is adorable, but it's not plus-friendly.
