Awest has people from all ethnic backgrounds. Awest also has an excellent music program there which is very successful since the music teacher Mr. Manu has gotten into the Jeffco awards to actually go to the Grammy's. Arvada West is also dedicated to making sure that kids Graduate and not drop out. They are very on top of kids grades and actually helps them especially if they are on an IEP like I am. The staff makes sure that kids get the kind of help that they need and provide awesome opportunities to do so. I have struggled my entire life in school, and then when I came to Arvada West as an incoming Freshman, I didn't struggle as much especially in math. We also have an excellent program there called the "Sparkles", and it's an amazing program for students with special needs. The Sparkles go on Field trips I believe every week and the whole student body is totally 100% supportive of them! This school is worth it, even though Awest has some bad reputations it is a good school! GO CATS!

And if someone tired something people wouldn't stand for it. There's great rather and art programs and also STEM programs. I've honestly had a great experience at this school. I would 100% recommend to send your kids here. From the classes to the people everything is great

We love this school! All three of my kids have been students since pre-K. My oldest one is now in…read morehigh school, and my younger two still attend. The teachers, admin, and staff all know my kids by name and make them feel seen. We are really happy with the academics, and our test scores are significantly higher than the Colorado average. I love how the school feels like a community. We feel like the rules and dress code are reasonable, and they are there to help the kids thrive in life and the learning environment. We also love their sports and fine arts programs. My kids are involved in both, and they have had amazing experiences. If you are looking for a Christian worldview paired with a great education, we would highly recommend it.

If you think that Ralston Valley is a good school, then you are sadly mistaken. The previous year I…read morespent at this school was the worst year of my life. Some of the girls in my choir class were being mean to me and when I told my choir teacher about it she literally defended them and made up excuses. She was completely okay with the fact that those girls were making me feel miserable. If you were thinking about joining the choir program at Ralston Valley, think again and join it at any other school. The current choir teacher at Ralston Valley picks favorites and defends mean girl behavior. She cares more about her and the Ralston Valley choir programs image than the well being of her students. The administration at this school is also horrendous. They do absolutely nothing about bullying and make up excuses to defend the bullies, just like the choir teacher.

The principal has repeatedly shown that she does not care about the students' wellbeing. Whenever…read morestaff members try to provide support for these students, she dismisses their efforts without a second thought. Rather than addressing important concerns, she retaliates and damages the lives of the staff she is supposed to protect. This school has so many students--how long do you think she can continue her neglectful actions without something tragic happening? What will she do when that day comes? Hold a school-wide meeting? Blame an imaginary group of bullies? Or maybe they did exist--who knows? Clearly, she doesn't, considering she's nearly allowed multiple students to die under her watch. What do you think will happen at that meeting? The friends of the student will mourn their loss while the principal feigns sympathy, pretending she's innocent and hasn't contributed to the tragedy? It's disgusting. She is twisted, and I will not stay silent until she is removed. Jeffco has failed its staff repeatedly, denying them adequate medical care and fair compensation, leaving them on the brink of homelessness. But beyond that, they've failed your children. If you're a parent, you may want to reconsider sending your child to this school, as it's clear the principal couldn't care less if a student drops dead in the halls. At least she treats the staff poorly, so perhaps that's the only thing she cares about--her own agenda and money. I urge you to report her to any relevant authority because this is not okay. I no longer feel safe walking these halls, knowing that my principal could care less if I were dead or alive, and that my nurse is being harassed by her.

As a former Warren Tech student, it saddens me to say that I firmly believe allowing our child to…read moreattend was likely the worst decision we have made as parents. One with far-reaching & long-lasting ramifications that far surpass any benefit of one school year spent on this campus. The experience here took a historically outgoing and engaged student, with very well thought out plans for the future that wanted to utilize the course here as a stepping stone to an already chosen future career path and derailed it. An independent and more mature learning experience is expected from Warren Tech, but the complete and utter lack supervision, intelligence or guidance by the administration at this campus is unsurpassed. It has lead to a long, threatening journey for our child/family and turned an open, good-natured and gregarious student into to one who now struggles to trust anyone or find a path. We should have pulled our student out of their program the first semester. Hindsight is 20-20....

This school it the down right worst place to put your child. The teachers here suck and are mean to…read morekids. I am a 7th grader here at this school and my mental state has gradually declined from this school. Some of the teachers give off this weird energy and should not be working with kids. Out of all of the adults here there are maybe 5 at most who have generally been kind to the kids here. The punishments for this school are laughable. The punishments are harsh for small actions and the punishments for big actions are small. All of the teachers here talk so badly about the students and don't even care if they are right there. The passing periods are only 3 minutes which is not enough time for a student to go to their locker get some water or use the bathroom. We get 5 passes (for water, bathroom, supplies, ect) per class per semester (2 semesters in the whole year). in summary, don't send your kid to this toxic waste of a school. 1 star is a generous rating.

The jeffco school dress code is very sexist. The same assistant principal also caused one of my friends panic attack. She passed out because of it in the bathroom. The councilor dress coded me while having a savior panic attack and didn't tell my mother anything that her and the assistant principal did and only said that I was the problem. Don't put your kids in this school unless you want them in a very sexist school to be judged and sexualized.
