I thought it would be a difficult procedure to remove the tooth, but to my surprise it was amazingly quick and painless. First he coated my gum with a solution, so that I would not feel the needle to deaden the area for the tooth removal. The worse part of the whole experience was the taste of the solution he put on the gum. That stuff tastes like rotgut whiskey. The entire tooth removal took about 5 minutes once my gum was numb. I actually felt absolutely no pain and I didn't know he had pulled the tooth until he told me the operation was over. I am 87 years old and I have been going to dentists since before the dentists discovered Novocain. I used to live near Tombstone, Arizona and I told Dr. Exstrom that my old dentist Doc Holiday had better tasting whiskey than the stuff he used to deaden my gum. Today's dental procedures are about as painful as getting a haircut. I think Dr. Exstrom is a really great surgeon and I highly recommend him if you need oral surgery. I was also surprised at how reasonable the price was for the service he provided. First rate medical service that is painless and reasonably priced is all you could hope for.

His staff was very professional and polite. After my consult I was given an insurance coverage form explaining what was covered and what my out-of-pocket co pay would be. The day of my procedure Dr. Wassel reiterated the treatment plan once again and continued with my treatment. I was blown away with his professionalism and effectiveness. I was expecting a much painful experience from the beginning, once he got the anesthesia going the procedure took about maybe 40 minutes total to complete. He was very good about asking if I felt any pain or discomfort throughout the process. Overall, my experience was a 10/10. I would personally recommend Dr. Wassel to my friends and family for any dental procedures. He is a amazing.
