I sent messages to a couple of plumbing outfits, but they didn't even respond. After a week of using buckets to capture the water leaking and dripping down into the basement, I gave up waiting for the first two outfits to respond and sent more messages to about 8 more plumbing outfits ... but again, most of them didn't even respond. I got 3 responses, 2 of which demanded ridiculously excessive deposits of $ 325 and $ 500 respectively. Max Plumbing and Heating was the only one who was quick to respond interactively through the Yelp messaging system, answered questions, was flexible, gave a ballpark estimate, and only demanded a reasonable deposit of $ 99. Max showed up when we asked him to, quickly found the reason for the leak, and replaced the worn-through pipe within a few hours, for a flat rate of $ 500, which was very reasonable for a 2-person crew for about 3 hours. He offered to clean out part of an attached pipe that was full of gunk but wasn't leaking for an extra $ 50, which was good and reasonable, so we agreed. Max was very knowledgeable and friendly, and even pointed out and explained some things about our kitchen drainage system that were problematic, without being asked, and didn't push or even suggest that we call him back to address those issues. Work was completed competently and efficiently. Quality of work was excellent. Value was very good. I would definitely recommend Max Plumbing and Heating!

After I made the inital call, they had a cancellation later that day, Wow was I happy on the fast service. Afterall my leaky faucet was now a continual stream of water and I had a bucket full of water in the sink. Ryan was friendly and respectful and explained what should be done, I noticed when it came to how much this was all going to cost, this was avoided for well after the end of the presentation. Home inspection, furnace inspection, water tank review all came into the conversation prior. All I want to do, is get my dripping stream to stop. Well after all of this I finally get the quote, to my surprise, it was almost 5000.00 to replace two sinks, two faucets, and two sets of pipes!! WHAT?????? Good thing I was leaning against the wall or I would have fallen over. Now, since my pipes were coroded we talked about just repairing the p trap and drain.. water was shut off, and my bill was a little over 700.00, including the service call fee. This is still too much money to pay. Now the measurements I was given, I cannot find a sink anywhere for the size I was given, they are regular oval bathroom sinks!!! Why are mine such an odd size?? Its off by an inch and some sinks its off by 1/2 inch,, I dont get it.. Anyway,, back to the drawing board for me,, I cant find a proper sink, according to their measurments. I need to pay for another service call fee, plus I cant afford the quote of over 2000.00, I was given to install two sinks, two faucets, that I have to supply, and plumbing for the remainging sink!!
