This little Donald Ross Design has a really nice practice facility including a full length range, short game area to practice your 120 yard wedge game and in and also a chipping green complete with bunkers. Upon walking through the clubhouse and out to the first tee you're greeted by a very helpful staff and a nicely stocked pro shop. The first tee really sets you up with what you'll see while out there for your round. A well maintained tee with tree lined and well defined fairways and the requirement tom move the ball off the tee one way or another. Slightly errant shots easily get you into tree trouble and very errant shots will find lots of trouble. One of the things I don't like here is the use of out of bounds within the property. I understand from a safety point of view why this is done but a hole like the par 5 12th having OB in the left trees (which plays adjacent to the 11th hole) and OB in the right trees makes this hole just dumb. It's already the narrowest driving hole on the course and that OB just makes it even more ridiculous. On top of this issue, getting home in 2 is not really an option because of a strategically placed tree that prevents a quality look into the green. Realistically you need to play this hole 200-225 off the tee, 190-210 for your second and 100 in to have any real chance to score. Leave the driver in the bag. The greens here at Wildwood are superb. Rolling fast and true they are a real treat to play and putt especially if you have any experience with Donald Ross greens, you'll really like them ALOT! Unfortunately for me my day did not include dining at the club so I can't speak for the food or service of the restaurant stuff but the outdoor patio overlooking the practice putting green in the short game area with a nice little view of the first tee does seem like a very nice place to get lunch after your round or come out for a relaxing bite to eat. Wildwood is a really nice golfing experience with fantastic greens and some quirky tee shots. A little course knowledge is a must to score and patience on the greens is a virtue, but that 12th hole is a drag and some of the hidden hazards that can gobble up a seemingly quality tee shot can upset an otherwise good day of golf and beware of the windy days!

This happened in front of another group of people who were appalled. This clown was told that I just spent $72 at this place and he told me he can't help that. He then began to threaten to have us removed if I didn't comply with his nonsense. My daughter was very upset and after some choice words with this spineless pansy he cowered into the store to not be seen again. I am local and we have been going there for years. Never again and nobody we know or family will ever go again. Watch who you act a fool with. We carry weight. He also is a key board commander so his response should tell the story also.

The course doesn't have any crazy frills, but is always clean and maintained well. We love being able to walk there for golf or ice cream without worry about parking or paying for parking in downtown wildwood. Parking is free and they have a large lot, though sometimes it fills up. If this is the case there are a ton of spots on the street. We love their ice cream! Nothing fancy, but great classic simple flavors and soft serve. Prices that don't break the bank. Sometimes the are can get buggy since it's on the bay, so bring bug spray. They usually also have bug spray available for use.

Variety of holes, mix of challenges, and creativity of the course was top notch. Their little scorecards were thoughtfully constructed. Very friendly and trusting staff. When I said wasn't sure whether we would play 9, 18 or 27 holes (pricing varies, see below) the counter guy said just go play and we'll settle up later. My only warning is this is the most expensive mini golf in cape may county. I'm used to $10 per adult for 18 holes. This was $14 for 9 holes, $19 per adult for 18, then $23 for 27 holes. Sticker shock for sure. But the best course around by far, so we played, paid and had a blast.

For Public Golf Courses this one is pretty 1st rate as we head west of Atlantic City for an…read moreafternoon of golf. $89.00 after 12PM weekday not inexpensive but reasonable though they could throw in Range Balls for that price. Basic Clubhouse with locker rooms, showers etc small grill room and pro shop. Expansive putting greeting and large practice Range. As stated balls extra and they could use an upgrade to their practice balls very beat up. Range in decent shape natural grass today but they do have mats as well. The Putting green was indicative of the course hard, slightly bumpy but not very fast. Course is a very wide open NICE Layout with numerous strategically placed fairway bunkers. Fairways very good shape while sand in bunkers was OK. As stated public golf so the efforts by the other patrons is an issue to keep them smooth. Tee Boxes also very good. Lots of holes with Water in play, great fair playable course design. Greens are absolutely ENORMOUS which is a real problem if you don't know what side or shelf top put the approach. My Issue as with any public course is consistency of speed and slight bumps that they have. Green speed varied from hole to hole so I've never 3 putted more greens in my entire golfing career than today and I consider myself a GOOD PUTTER. I'm placing it on the greens. Service staff Friendly, golf cart girl on course was only seen 1 time all day but they do have a 1/2 way house on the turn. Carts were electric but could use an update as they were a bit dated and GPS wouldn't hurt either for these price points. All and all a very pleasant experience for the $$ though I'm still partial to Seaview and their two courses in this area I certainly would not hesitate to play here again.
