The park has many permanent residents, spots for long-term stays like ours, and several pull-thrus for overnighters. Not easy to get a reservation but well worth it if you can. Price is very reasonable. The park is kept very clean, laundry facilities are wonderful and not too expensive ($1.25 per load washer and dryer), and there is a sweet little stream running through the park sided by a large grassy area that was wonderful for our dog to run and play. No one objected to him being off leash there, but he comes when he's called, so I'm not sure how people would react to a dog that isn't under control. There were some ducks in the stream and a little bridge that crosses it. We felt very safe here and had quiet neighbors. There was noise from Trosper Road, but not more than the usual two-lane road, and certainly better than freeway noise would be in some of the other parks. Fred Meyer, UPS/fax store, Albertson's, Wal-Mart, and Costco nearby, also gas and coffee shops and other smaller stores. We would love to have found a house in this area. Would definitely recommend this place for short- or long-term stays.

There is NO parking, you can park behind the building or along the drive path of the cemetery, make sure when you get out of your car you don't step on someone headstone, ewhhhh. Whoever does their set-up has zero skills with people movement. The room where the ceremony was held, they put so many chairs in there you couldn't get to your seat because they lined the back wall with chairs, completely unnecessary because they could have just pushed all the chairs a little closer to where the wedding party was standing. The next room over indicated it would hold 290 people but yet they had to set up the buffet in the hallway right across from the restrooms. They had put so many banquet tables in the room, you couldn't pull your chair out to sit down and no one could walk down the aisle to get to their seat without bumping people. It was cramped, there was ZERO staff to help with logistics of the day, not even to help move chairs, oh because they had to take the chairs from the ceremony area and put them in the dining room. The doorway into the dining room was a typical residential size door, they didn't have 2 doors that opened up wide into the space. Poorly planned building, none existent staff and creepy location.

It's pretty small and most of the rides are kid friendly. If you're someone who's really into rides, the puyallup fair has the most to offer and I believe the prices are really similar. Parking is also $5. I recommend eating a little before you come or bring your own food because food at fairs can get really expensive.

I had the unfortunate experience of losing my father February 19th of this year. I knew that I…read morewanted to do something special after his service to celebrate his life. I wanted to allow our friends and family time to talk about the meaningful times that we were lucky enough to spend with a man that meant so much to so many. Since I live in Portland, I knew it would be challenging to find a space online. I grew up in Olympia, and it has changed a lot. I found somewhere in the neighborhood of 10 possibilities. When I stumbled across the website for the Abigail Stuart House, it just felt right. I called Carolyn, who rents the house and found out that it was available for the 26th when I needed it. We scheduled a tour for the Friday prior. Perfect. The rental included tables, chairs, a very roomy full kitchen with all kinds of serving trays and cooking utensils, an oven, dishwasher, and refrigerator. Most places didn't have such a full set up. For the most part things have to be rented separately. The only thing we needed to provide were tablecloths. Easy. Since it's an historic property it has a lot of charm. High ceilings, hardwood floors, a foyer with space to hang coats, a parlor with comfortable sofas and cushy chairs. The parlor also has a baby grand piano, and gas fireplace. There is a bathroom on the main floor, as well as a men's and women's restroom upstairs. There is room to accommodate up to 150 in the main room. Plenty of space for everyone. Carolyn gave me the tour, and I paid on the spot. They only charge $400 all inclusive for the full day and night, with a $250 refundable deposit. You don't even have to clean. We only needed to put away the tables and chairs, and place anything from the kitchen that we used in the dishwasher before we left. It wasn't rented Saturday, so she was kind enough offer it to me for an additional $100 so that I could set up beforehand. I was so grateful to have the opportunity to do so. I don't think you can find such an affordable deal anywhere! They're incredibly easy to work with. It's centrally located downtown, and has a parking lot to accommodate 22 cars. There is also ample street parking. It would be ideal for wedding receptions, reunions, or about anything else you might need. I was able to pick up my full deposit the following Tuesday morning. I can't recommend them highly enough. Take a look at their website, and see for yourself. The money from the rental also benefits many local charities, as an added bonus.

This place is an awesome experience and nothing like what I just described. The man who runs this put up a sawmill on the property and hand cut all the boards for the buildings he has on site. This was not his only dwelling, but it is the only treehouse and it gets booked up in advance. Hint hint... Book now. When you first arrive, you get the grand tour of the property showing you where you can go if you're hiking and where to avoid. Terry is very good about stopping the ATV frequently and pointing things out. The scenery around this is incredible. Only been here a few hours and we have already seen deer and a coyote. The treehouse itself is incredible. It has two main floors, the upper one being the bedroom. Not recommended for more than two people. The downstairs has a nice layout with a small kitchenette, bathroom, right off the kitchen, lounging area, and a nice covered patio attached. The upstairs has a stairwell that I will compare to a ladder but if you pay attention, you will have no problem with it Queen, size bed, and extra blankets if you need. There is a fire pit near the main entrance and two benches and two side chairs. They keep a nice supply of wood and you will be able to use that for your fire. Down underneath the treehouse is a barbecue area complete with gas grill. Utensils are provided And it works well. All in all this was an awesome adventure. There's a two nights stay minimum but time will go by very quickly. Terry, your host is very gracious and keeps the property wall maintained. If you're looking for an adventure that's a little off the beaten path. This is the place for you.

It was a little chilly for water activities, so we didn't participate in those. Overall, though, it was a great place for a retreat or family camp. We plan to go again in the future! We were recommending this place to someone and I was surprised to see it only had a 3 star rating! Then I found 9 "not recommended" reviews below that give it high marks.
