    Taro Ball Milk Tea ($6)
    Michelle C.

I was walking down to Michael's when I passed by Dragon Tea, which I had never noticed before. The storefront is well lit and has some seating indoors. There is a kiosk at the entrance where you can order by yourself, but I had a Yelp check-in offer for 10% off so I paid at the counter. I ordered the Taro Ball Milk Tea ($6) which was one of their bestsellers. The boba is supposed to be taro-based, which I definitely tasted. But, the texture was really off for me. The outside of the pearls were a little chewy, but noticeably less than the tapioca based ones and the inside of the pearls had the mashed taro taste and texture that was not appealing at all. The milk tea was pretty bland, and lacked any depth or boldness in flavor at all. Overall, I was not impressed by the drink but I would be willing to try another one of their drinks. Their passion fruit and roasted TGY both sound pretty good!

I ordered the taro milk tea, which came with real taro bits and taro bubbles. The taste was fine but i think there was too many tiny bits of taro and the boba was really mushy. I preferred the brown sugar bubbles instead. My other friend also got the strawberry slushy, but it was too sweet and the sugar level wasn't possible to change. Service was fast and considerate though. I liked the chill ambiance of the place.

this taro milk tea was sour lol wtf we got the special that they're known for and the taro was sussy wussy. Would not come again to order that. Definitely try to order just tea or something. service was fast, and if you order on the device and there's something that isn't customizable they will do it for you which is nice. Ambiance: looks pretty new so it's good.

Ok i don't even know why I haven't learned my lesson. I avoided the boba lasts time based on my last experience since as a former boba barista you need to cook it. With lychee jelly it's usually premade m. This time the tea was super watered down. Definitely not coming again

This place caught my eye after a Trader Joe's run and I'm glad I went in. I got Brown Sugar Fresh Milk W/Bubbles and taro balls. The bubble texture was perfectly soft and chewy. The taro balls were okay but they got stuck together and made it harder to drink. It's an option you don't usually see at most boba places. My cousin got the lychee tea with lychee coconut jelly and it was good as well.

I got roasted tieguanyin milk tea with brown sugar boba and I am very impressed! The tea is very strongly flavored, the Boba is lightly sweet and nicely chewy, and at 50% sugar, the sweetness is perfect. Is it a little pricey? Sure, but everything is nowadays.

This taste like water. I paid $13 for two drinks and they both are flavourless. What a rip off.

Prices are really good compared to most places but the drinks were 2/10. I ordered Thai ice tea and regular bubble tea.

You must have the Brussels sprouts!! I'd go back for those in a minute! I very much enjoyed my salmon dish. Lovely presentation and preparation but portion a bit small. However, the Brussels sprouts were so generous portion that even after sharing there was "take home" for us. The chocolate mousse was extraordinary! I don't even want to know the calorie count - but worth it!! My one negative was the chill of the Cabernet Yes, I know that's the trend but personally I prefer room temp especially in cold weather The restaurant owner was gracious, staff actually charming and accommodating We are recommending this place to family and friends and plan to return especially when going to BAM ENJOY!!

Walked in and was able to get a seat without reservation, but it definitely filled up by 6/7 pm. The place is dimly lit and the tables are quite small. For the food, we got their Brussel sprouts, shrimp, salmon entree and chicken entree. Our favorite were definitely the shrimp. But everything else when eaten together tasted a bit too greasy and felt monotonous in terms of flavor. Brussel sprouts were fried and held to a decent amount of oil, then the addition of tahini made it even more oily. Pan chicken we expected whole pieces of chicken but it was more like a thin chicken cutlet. The salmon came with a cauliflower puree which tasted so rich (with butter), but I couldn't finish it bc it was so rich.

People have left some odd reviews of this place, including a one-star review for the restaurant…read moreapparently being highly politicized--a vibe I neither felt nor could visually identify within or without the establishment. I ordered a single burger and a Sudan spiced peanut butter latte, for ~$15! That's pretty inexpensive for New York City. I note this as some consider it overpriced. I suppose the food is fairly inexpensive, the lattes slightly higher than average. The "burger" comes wrapped in a homemade pita with diced cucumber, onion, and tomato, plus a few crispy, thick-cut fries and a yummy house sauce. It was a cool twist of the traditional burger and had a nice flavor. The sauce was like a slightly Mediterranean version of Big Mac sauce. The girl working as the barista and cashier was very nice and friendly. She had a nice presence and warm smile, made suggestions, and even gave a stranger free utensils when they popped on to ask. I think it's definitely worth checking out, and it's a good place for a cheap & simple meal that's still quirky and fun.

Perhaps I should have anticipated that, or my mistake in ordering. I also ordered a Moroccan egg salad sandwich which was substantive but surprisingly bland--sparse with the advertised capers and pickled red onions to give it more punch. I've always loved the look of the spot and the vibe--funky decor, outside and indoor facing counters to order, with some outdoor seating for people watching on Dekalb or heading nearby Ft. Greene Park. I see they are renovating and rebranding a bit and adding some burger component. While I didn't love it, I'd definitely give it another shot.
