Dishes are often cooked at the diner's table on metal grills that are built into the center of the table where diners can enjoy doing there own grilling/bbq at the dinner table. The Chinese Hot Pot also known as Shabu Shabu in Japan, and in Singapore and Malaysia the Steamboat. Like fondue but replaced with a simmering metal pot of stock at the centre of the table where diners place their ingredients into the pot to cook. The cooked food is usually eaten with a variety of dipping sauces. Typical Hot Pot dishes include thinly sliced meat, vegetables, dumplings and seafood. Here in Teppan we have a vast choice of ingredients, dipping sauces and stock.

Shame they didn't have the shrimp bao as it sounded delicious but understandably it's their biggest seller, and I arrived late. The buns were soft and pillow-like, and the filling nice, albeit not exactly plentiful. Overall a solid 4*, and well worth a lunch trip, or light-ish dinner. I ordered the rice noodles with shrimp and my partner another noodle type with coconut curry and bamboo shoots.
