If you're looking for a wham, bam, thank-you-ma'am quick crack by a quack, this is NOT the place…read more Dr. Gibson is unlike any other chiropractor out there, and I go to him before even considering seeing a sports medicine doctor or physical therapist. He's not the kind of doctor that wants to get you hooked on adjustments--he genuinely wants to make you permanently feel better. Dr. Gibson obviously takes a lot of pride in what he does and his dedication to always learning, the cleanliness of his office, the wide range of state-of-the-art equipment, and the honest compassion shows it. That's not all, though. The difference is not only the time he spends really LISTENING and analyzing what you're going through, but the understanding he has of how soft tissue works along with your skeletal framework. Unlike other chiros, he actually works on soft tissue stuff, from trigger point releases to really getting in there to work those stubborn knots out. His knowledge of home-based therapies, fitness, exercise remedies, and holistic/homeopathic solutions is extensive, and I've used his advice in lieu of going to physical therapists, cheapo massueses, orthopedists and etc. and felt loads better instantly. His analyses are always exceptionally in-depth and he explains everything passionately and engagingly, helping you really understand how your body works and why it's not working the way you want it to. He's extremely qualified with multiple certifications and degrees, and patient, with a bedside manner that makes you feel comfortable, like he's a concerned family member that just wants you to be well. If you have Empire BCBS, rejoice! He's covered under primary care copay. If you're not, not to worry -- his prices are really reasonable and he'll work with you to get you fixed up.

I have been seeing a chiropractor in Houston for about a year now. I came home to NY due to a…read morefamily emergency, and really needed an adjustment. After calling multiple doctors, Dr. Gibson was the only one willing to take me in as a new patient on such short notice. He was able to accommodate me and did something I wish most offices did, which was direct me to his website to fill out the new patient forms before going in. I love efficiency, and from past experiences, most doctors office's are not efficient. Unfortunately, my printer ran out of black ink before I could finish printing all the forms, so I arrived for my appointment a few minutes early. I entered the office and was greeted by Dr. Gibson professionally and courteously. I explained to him my printer situation, and he gave me the forms that I needed. I handed him the completed forms, and he invited me into the patient's room. In the room, he asked if he could evaluate me and I accepted. His evaluations involved some minor stretches and strength exercises. After performing the evaluation, I knew he was already better than the chiropractor I visit in Houston. I could tell he loves what he does by the way he got excited as he informed me of what my muscles were doing as I moved in specific directions. When you find a doctor like this, you want to keep them. I never felt rushed throughout the visit and he displayed some of the best bedside manners I've ever experienced. At the end of the visit, he mentioned having a contact in Houston who might be able to give me a chiropractor recommendation in the coming days. If you're an athlete and have sports-related pain this is the doctor you want to see. Don't be fooled by other chiropractors who specialize in older patients/accident cases. I can't wait to come back to see him!

Dr. Levin is only concerned about selling you overpriced vitatmins and alternative medicine…read moresolutions. As a long-time patient of Dr. Levin, one would expect that after three years of visits he would remember SOMETHING about my history. To illustrate this point, today I had questions about the product he recommended in a previous appointment, today he had no idea he was the one that gave that recommendation and to make matters worse he then asked "What do you have again? What's wrong with you?" The only time he showed any actual concern was when it came time for payment. This place went downhill fast - find a chiropractor that cares about his patients, not one more concerned with pushing marked-up vitamin supplements and making YouTube videos. Dr. Levin lost a long-time patient today for his dispassionate display - do yourself a favor and find a real doctor.

Then a short while ago I was telling a friend how I had to get to a chiropractor and he couldn't praise Dr. Marc and True Sport Care enough. So I gave them a try... This is not just an office with a few tables, where you get cracked for 5 minutes and walk out. They spend time with you each visit, and work on past and present issues, as well as teaching you preventative maintenance. Things like stretches, proper breathing exercises and core-building exercises you can do at home. There's an entire rehabilitation/training room as well. One final point that just occurred to me. Dr. Marc told me that he'd have me out in 3-4 visits. No keeping you around to bilk you and/or your insurance company for 20 visits. He corrected my lower back/hip/walking thing I had going in those 3 visits. It had been pretty bad. As they're pretty centrally located in Suffolk County, I'd recommend you give them a look. It's worth the drive.

South Bay Movement & Wellness lost my business because of their front desk staff!…read more Before becoming a patient I called to verify my insurance coverage and pricing. I started going for acupuncture and medical massage treatment and it turned out that I was given the incorrect information and ended up paying more each visit than I was initially told I would have to pay over time. They eventually admitted that I was given the incorrect information, I reconfirmed exactly what I'd have to pay each time and I continued because I really needed the treatment. Additionally, the massage therapist's availability was limited and hard to align with my schedule so I started booking weeks in advance. For my most recent appointment, I received the text message to confirm my appointment 4 days in advance and I replied to confirm - it was correct for the day and time I booked for. The morning of my appointment I got a reminder via text message stating that my appointment was a different time (a time I couldn't make because of other commitments). I called the office right away to inquire about the time change - they saw that my appointment was moved and someone else was in for my original time slot. Knowing I booked it weeks ago (23 days to be exact), and received the confirmation text 4 days prior, I asked if the other person booked before or after me. They confirmed that MY ORIGINAL APPOINTMENT WAS BOOKED BEFORE THE OTHER PERSON. So instead of honoring my original appointment that I booked first they called the other person to see if they could switch - not to tell the other person that the office messed up and someone else (me) was already booked for that time slot!! They called me back to say the other person didn't answer their call, sorry for the mixup - apologetic but totally wrong in making me lose my appointment because of their error (and because the other patient didn't answer their phone) and would not change it on the other person even though I was booked first. Aside from the front desk staff, acupuncture services provided by Kristen and medical massage provided by Terese were excellent. It's unfortunate for these service providers to lose the business not by any fault of their own.
