I was with Dr. Ramos originally but her office tried to put me on two weeks' worth of bed rest without even seeing me. It was ridiculous! I switched over to Dr. Drake who at the time didn't have much of a presence on review sites, but then I fell in love with her. She's super chill and makes me laugh. She definitely would soothe me in the throes of pain and labor hell. She also tells it like it is, which I like. More than that, I really like how I get to see her every time I go whereas at other doctors' offices I just saw this revolving door of midwives and maybe the doctors themselves. Also, I love Roxanne and her choice of music. Can't wait to have this baby out next month!

I never thought I would rave about my Obgyn but Doctor Drake is fantastic! She was recommended by…read moremy IVF doctor (full disclosure--they're actually married), but I also received several recommendations for Dr Drake from doctors, midwives and nurses. In fact, everyone I interacted with during my pregnancy couldn't say enough good things about her. As a first time mom I appreciated how responsive Dr Drake was. She was knowledgeable but also compassionate and it was easy to feel comfortable with her and ask all my questions. She took time at appointments to go over everything and managed my care well over the course of my pregnancy. When it came to my care she laid out options and presented the pros and cons while being supportive of my choices. I felt she had a good understanding of IVF, which some doctors didn't always understand (like when it came to calculating my due date). I also felt like most importantly my daughter was in good hands, which after the intense journey it took to get pregnant left me more nervous than most patients. My daughter was a complete breech and I credit Dr Drake with my super fast recovery. The nurses were shocked I was a c section and not a vaginal delivery given how quickly I was moving around and how little pain I had. She had me on a non narcotics protocol and I had very little pain and hit all my milestones ahead of schedule. I'm currently 11 week's post delivery and I'm already back to playing hockey! It's so hard to find good obgyns in town taking new patients. Santa Barbara is lucky to have Dr Drake!

Review Dropped as a…read morePatient for Advocating for Myself Emergencies happen, but respect for patients, their time, and their health should not be optional. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Dr. Pinheiro. My surgery was scheduled a week out, and today's pre-op appointment was supposed to prepare me for it. After waiting 30 minutes on telehealth, I called the office and was told she had an emergency C-section. I completely understand emergencies happen, but I was never called, no voicemail was left, and this was not the first time I had an issue. Out of the four appointments I had with her, she was more than 20 minutes late to two and didn't show up at all for the last. When I spoke with the manager, I explained that I felt nervous and uneasy about moving forward with surgery because I hadn't been able to go over what labs/test needed to be done. I felt brushed aside as a patient. Instead of reassuring me, I was told Dr. Pinheiro was willing to pass along my records to a new provider. I was still willing to proceed and was scheduled to speak with her, but right as I logged in, the manager called back to say Dr. Pinheiro was no longer comfortable performing my surgery because I had expressed discomfort. In other words: if you speak up for yourself, this doctor may refuse your care--even if you've been in pain and bleeding for months. That is exactly what happened to me. I now have to start over with a new provider while still in discomfort.

I love my Gyno so much I followed her when she left a major medical organization to start a private…read morepractice. This "boutique" women's care office is located in midtown Ventura and you might not even know it's there! Bordering on inconspicuous, you do see a slight pink hue to the building. Don't blink cuz you just might miss it but you'd be missing out on some wonderful personalized care for your lady temple. I have referred several patients to this practice as well. Friendly staff and welcoming environment makes this feel like a safe place to get the quality care you deserve.

I didn't like that experience and actually met Dr. Rashti in the hospital while I was in labor for that pregnancy. I really loved his presence and personality, so when I got pregnant with my second I immediately knew I wanted Dr. Rashti to be my OB. I called his office and was able to get an appointment quickly and on a day and time that worked with my schedule, the appointments were longer and I was actually able to get questions answered, talk about what to expect, talk about our lives, and he really got to know us. We ended up with a C-section and he did such an amazing job. I haven't had any issues with pain at all, and the scar is virtually non-existent. He checked in with us multiple times afterwards to make sure healing was going well. Overall it was a great experience, worth every penny.
