First you have to deal with Rita, who decides if you deserve an appointment, then she gives the appointment to someone else if you do not confirm when she calls.
She gets to decide what is good for your treatment, if you tell her need to see the Dr. as follow up of a very expensive crown with implant, she says you better get ready to pay $ 75.00.
Then, the Dr. is good for a simple filling or quick check up, not good for a crown, I got two of them and both with fitting issues. I thought the second crown is going to be different. Well, I should not follow the advice of getting pulled out a good tooth because I was losing bone, a bone grafting would have kept the tooth long time. I got a crown that since the moment I saw it I knew it was wrong. Too small, leaving a gap with the next natural tooth. That was my main problem with my natural tooth, it was not straight and left a gap that over time caused not good cleaning an lose of bone. So after keeping my good tooth, I saw the lose of bone and I followed the advice of getting an implant ( I could have had gum grafting or bone grafting instead) but the advice was to change my tooth for a crown in an implant. So I started a process that took about a year.
The surgeon for the implant was great, healing in months. The implant was ready after months, finally time for the crown. I had to wait with Dr. Lee two weeks because it had to be sent to the lab in Scottsdale, then I got a phone call that it would take one more week, because somebody was in vacation. (i suspect that somebody was the Dentist Dr. Lee). Then, the day came, I went to get the crown attached to the implant, well, it was too small leaving even a bigger gap than my natural tooth.so I requested to get another crown. Dr. Lee said, yes we will sent it back to the lab, (wait another two weeks) .
The day came, I saw the crown, now big with strange shape, bulky, but the Dr. said it would fill the space better and will be so close to my natural tooth that almost no gap will be there. Well, he placed the crown cemented so painfully close that it pushed all my natural teeth to the center. He said, it will be adjusted naturally in a day or two.
At home, just pain, like a bad adjustment for orthodontic treatment. I got the crown in a Thursday, by Saturday the pain all the time, eating a grape was so painful, I ate only soft puree food. So, on Saturday morning I called the office, nobody answer. closed that day. So I left a message hoping Rita or some other front desk lady will call back on Monday. One more week of pain, nothing. I had to go in person to ask to talk to the doctor. Is when Rita said is going to be $75 and in about two hours. i said, this is follow up, I need to see the Dr. this crown is too tight does not feel OK. Rita said, no you are OK, but I will call you back. Then she called and said the Dr. agreed to see me as follow up.
Dr. agreed is too tight, tried smooth a little bit, it felt almost the same. My teeth adjusting by themselves, the occlusion is been modified, not the same. The only solution now is a new crown with orthodontic treatment. I got problems that I did not have plus replicating the original situation of a little gap at the gums line. Because the crown is not made to fit my next tooth. The assistant gave me a little brush to pass in the gap every time I brush my teeth. How nice...
No, no a new crown. My husband also was advised to change four good crowns for new ones. Huge estimate too. A second opinion, said no need for replacements.
NO good experience with crowns, long stupid wait for laboratory to make a bad crown, the other one does not have good occlusion either. wrong color, and shape, looks so fake, I always suspected I did not need a good tooth to be a crown, but the professional is giving you his opinion, right? Not to mention I paid full price too because my insurance did not cover at this time. read more
