One might think this is a given in a dentist's office, but not always! They keep the building cool, but I was offered a blanket by the staff several times. The staff: from the front desk, to the dentist, hygienists, and assistants, absolutely fantastic. You can tell they enjoy their jobs which shows in their positive attitudes and how caring they are. Usually this also means good management. They were very detailed when explaining procedures and left the treatment plan up to me with no pressure. An employee broke down all of the services offered and what insurance would cover before they started treatment so there were no surprises. They were transparent and forthcoming and that's so important to me especially when it comes to my health. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone!

I would give them negative stars if possible. I had just moved to Lubbock last year and believed I…read morehad a cavity and was recommended to visit this office. They did confirm a cavity, then a 2nd cavity, and another $15K of work!! In October I only had them do a small portion of the work and fill the cavities. One of the crowns they put in felt abnormal and it was hard to eat with, then a filling fell out 1-1/2 months later. I went to get the filling and crown repaired. It felt like the needle the dentist used to administer the pain meds hit my jaw bone, and the pain was excruciating. When I screeched in pain she told me not to worry and "that let's me know I put it in the right place". My jaw didn't get numb so she injected a 2nd dose that was just as painful. That was the 1st time I ever cried at a dentist office. The repair to the crown made it worse than the original. My jaw was sore, slightly swollen, and tender to touch for over a month. I went to another reputable dentist to have him look at the work and assess what Abbeville said I needed done. He confirmed my suspicions that the work they said I needed was not necessary and took care of the crown. Today, 6 months after they repaired the filling it fell out again!!! All Abbeville cares about is money, not quality care or their patients. I would never recommend anyone to use them.

I am one that received a notice from the collection agency of an outstanding bill. I contacted the…read moredental office and was advised that several letters went out including text messages... according to their computer. When I said I never got one bill she said several bills went out and also... text messages went out. I offered to show her my phone showing I never got a text. When I offered to show her my phone she simply restated that notices were provided. I pride myself on paying my bills on time and have never been late on a payment much less reported to collections. I stopped going to them for two reasons: one they didn't bother to tell me my insurance didn't take them and then the dentist I saw never once looked at me. He looked at the dental assistant and talked to her only as if I wasn't there. He offered nothing except to disagree with the dental assistant's assessment. I left that office seriously disappointed. Now, my only advice to anyone who goes there is. Be sure to find out what your bill is for anything.. because their computer will say otherwise and you have nothing to go on. As a note. Dr. Green retired.. I found that out when I came in for a cleaning/check up.

I REPEAT THEY DO NOT ACCEPT INSURANCE. then they're only open Monday through Thursday and you can feel the stress of how many clients they packed in for the week. it felt more of like an assembly line and then a visit to the dentist. if you had extra questions or felt that your teeth didn't quite fit/feel right after being shaved down, the dentist was noticeably frustrated to the point that you just deal with the poor quality of his work. Rude staff and the dentist needs to learn how to keep his comments to himself. show some professionalism

I had an injury to my mouth when I was in high school, about 30 years ago now. That injury has caused more and more damage to my teeth over the years. Dr. Scott saw that and all he saw was huge dollar signs. He did unnecessary work, I now have 2 dental implants, and his work was pretty shoddy. I had a flexible spending account with my employer at the time and I wasted it all very quickly at this dentist office. And after I had used up all of that money that I had saved for an entire year, they still wanted more money from me. Their financial person lied about something being covered by our insurance but apparently it wasn't. She harassed us a lot about paying them money that she had previously said our insurance would cover. She called me at work and at home a lot, harassing me for the money. So I realized that they really couldn't be trusted. Shortly after that, they moved to a new location, their currently location. Being able to get lots of money from my insurance for unnecessary dental work helped with that. And they probably do this to other patients as well.

Initially over the phone, this place seemed like a dream. However, upon arriving for initial…read moreconsult, it was revealed to me that Dr. Scott is unprofessional and condescending. If you would prefer to be under the care of a dentist who says "I mean, I don't know what to tell ya. I don't have any other suggestions. Do you?" as he looks at his assistant, then go here! He was very demeaning of my condition I was born with, and demeaning of the care I've had in the past. I don't come from a privileged family, and my mother did the best that she could on her own. I am appalled at the lack of respect displayed by Dr. Scott at my appointment. Also to be told, "Not anything to feel self-conscious about, but when you smile you show A LOT of gum. Also, your previous dentists did they best they could given the situation with your jaw line they had to deal with ." His tone of voice was NOT sweet and sympathetic" , it was condescending and rude. I can't fix my jaw I was born with or how much gum is shown when I smile. The first time I had a "full" smile, I was 27 years old. Only three years ago. Extremely unprofessional, and extremely rude. All this to say, it's unfortunate - because my phone call with them initially is what lead me to ultimately choose Dr. Scott.
