Finally got a referral here and was told they needed to get an MRI to be able to provide higher level pain management. Was promised a celebrex prescription for pain in the meantime. Never got the prescription. Waited months to be told that 6 MORE WEEKS of PT is required before an MRI appointment is even considered. Also put my partner in my paperwork as an authorized contact, but they refuse to speak to them anyway, claiming they aren't in my paperwork. Months upon months of time and hundreds of dollars on gas wasted just to be put back to square zero with treatment.

Both have been great and very knowledgeable. I see the same provider for every visit unless it's a procedure. I feel like this is important. I've been to other locations this is not the case and it's very impersonal and difficult to build rapport. I was only changed providers when my first provider moved. If I have questions they are answered in full. If I want to try something different with my care my doctors are either willing to try or explain why they think it may or may not be a good idea. I feel like they are working with me and not working on me. I don't feel like I'm treated like a criminal, which if you've worked with poor quality pain management you know what I'm talking about. I'm treated like an actual person with real physical problems because I am. I highly recommend The Pain Center of Arizona.

I have been receiving pain management support for close to twenty years for idiopathic…read morepolyneuropathy. I have been to three different pain management clinics over the years. Receiving care at PISA has been a welcome relief. Unlike other pain management clinics in Tucson, this is an actual, REAL, doctor's office. I do not feel like I am at a methadone maintenance clinic or am perceived and treated as an addict. I haven't heard one rageful patient yelling at staff, whew. These are expert, competent physicians offering comprehensive treatment. The staff are kind, friendly, and supportive. There may be pain management clinics in Tucson that I have not experienced that are excellent. I can't speak to that. But in MY experience PISA is the best and I have no difficulty recommending them.

I think that's ridiculous asbim the one in 24/7 pain from a disease that will never go away. I have CRPS fibromyalgia scoliosis and migraines. After 6 1/2 year now they insist I come in every month. I can't afford that! Then the keep switching people on me. This one said we'd try new meds so I wouldn't have to come in every month. I said fine they didn't even do that! apparently it's no where in the notes!! They sent a med over I can no longer take because it reacts with a new med I'm on!! ( Which I told the helper and her) then sent my other med over! Last time they lost my paperwork! So tired of this !!!

Went in for tennis elbow on a Monday. Had 2 injections on same day in same elbow. After 2 1/2 hours…read moreof waiting the doctor did his injections and was very pleasant and nice. He said my pain should be alot less, immediately, and it was. Then on Wednesday my range of motion was worse and pain was worse. After doing all of the instructions, i.e. ice, ibuprofen still didn't help. I called and Deanna the nurse told me that I could come in at 1 pm and it was noon. I am in Sierra Vista so it would take me more than an hour to get there. She said well the only other option is for you to go to urgent care. I said is there any way he can see me later today or tomorrow and she said, "unfortunately, no" so now I have to go to urgent care (because AZ Pain Centers don't offer stronger meds) and that is probably what I needed to do. I am very disappointed. Being in pain in my dominant arm is bad enough but not being able to be seen because of this is terrible. I went there thinking this was the answer because of their commercials on tv. I will go somewhere else that if I need a little stronger pain meds than ibuprofen or Tylenol to get me through this then they will give it to me. At least for a few days to see if the pain subsides!!!

I'm kind of disappointed in this place. When I first came in I had to do several sections of…read morepaperwork which led me to have to get up and down several times. This did not help my vertigo weakness or migraine at all. After the extensive paperwork I was sent back to the room where the first lady I saw started filling out my information. It took longer than usual to get everything in the system as the system would not allow things to be entered. The lady who does the physical exam was very nice spoke to me like a human being and was able to provide me with information that may be wrong with me. I told her I'd been suffering migraines for 13 years and this is the first time somebody was actually paying attention to what I was trying to tell them. she even confirmed, I have TMJ. Though I've been telling people for years I may have TMJ, I have been denied this. I did not know the office was an injection only company until the doctor came in and advised that he will be doing a series of shots in my neck and back to see if it would help the migraine and vertigo. I was immediately sent back and they did the injections in my neck a little nerve wracking but not as bad as I expected. he was even nice enough to put music on to make me feel better. After it was over we went to the front to schedule more appointments but the system would only allow one appointment to be inputted. I was told I would have pain for about a day and a half and to take the ibuprofen as prescribed. Unfortunately, I am now on the third day and have extreme weakness in my back, muscles and also have extreme pain in other areas, that didn't hurt as much before. Also after contacting the main number I found out they do not prescribe any type of medication whatsoever I was trying to get vertigo and nausea medication and was advised they do not prescribe anything and I must get it from my family doctor. Of course when I called my family doctor they said they would not prescribe it and I had to get it from the office I got the injections from. When I called back the office they advised to contact a certain doctor which actually happened to be my own doctor and told the manager that they will not prescribe nausea and vertigo medication for me. This is been a very stressful experience and even if they did inform me of all of the information I wish I would have waited on the injection and got in the second opinion first. Now I am sitting here with pinched nerves body pain and still have the vertigo.
