We were recommended to Dr P by the breeder we are working with to breed our dog. He is very knowledgeable and listens to your questions. I genuinely appreciate that because nothing bothers me more then having a list of questions and getting brushed off when I try to ask them.
We did sit in the patient room with our dog for an hour past our appointment time. Didn't love that. But it wasn't the end of the world. Dr P was either overbooked or something set him behind for the day because he was very rushed and as so our appointment was rushed.
Little things keep me from giving a solid 5 stars. 1 - I took my dog in for OFA hip x-rays and one side appeared to show more space between the joint and socket then the other. Were we not so rushed I would have liked to have attempted a second film to see if it was just how she was positioned. If we get a Fair rating on that hip we'll have to go back for a second evaluation and that would be less then ideal.
Also, on the written eval the Doc provided me he marked ratings for knees instead of elbows (again...he was rushed). But I genuinely needed written proof on elbows from him.
He didn't require me to sedate my dog and was very good with her. He let me hold her head and keep her calm and x-rays took literally 2 mins. Healthier for her, and less expensive for me! Overall a good experience, we will be going back. Hopefully it won't be so rushed! read more
