In addition she gives you her cell phone and answers after hours herself (or even sometimes during office hours) w/o you having to go thru an answering service. She is also very well connected in the medical community and gets you urgently needed appointments with a top specialist on an expedited basis. She spreads out patient appointments very generously so that there is plenty of time when you go in to see her to get all your concerns and questions answered.

Until we found Dr. Harouni, medical procedures and medical concerns meant a trip back to California. I can't stress enough how pleased we are with Dr. Harouni's medical expertise,level-headed decision-making and genuine concern for our well being. During a scheduled visit I mentioned to Dr, Harouni that I'd noticed one arm was bigger than the other. She told me to make an appointment for a scan. I called Steinberg Diagnostics and got their soonest appointment, a week away.. I'm still incredulous that Dr. Harouni called me (not her staff) the day after my consult to make sure I had scheduled the scan. When she found out it was a week away, she made sure I was seen that very day. Her medical expertise and gut instinct probably saved my life. I had blood clots in both arms and neck. If that extra follow-up did not wow you sufficiently, here is another example. I am diabetic and significantly overweight. Ozempic and Mounjaro are both drugs used to manage diabetes. The added bonus is that they control appetite. Non diabetics are now using those meds to lose weight and consequently, demand exceeds supply. When I emailed Dr. Harouni and shared my plight, she immediately tasked her staff to call drugstores and drug reps to help me find my medication. In less than an hour I had a filled prescription waiting to be picked up. Her dedication and determination to take care of her patients is extraordinary. I've shared these personal examples because there is no way to have a reader, grasp her dedication. I had been with another concierge practice for the past 4 years. That practice, ran like clockwork and the doctor was competent but inaccessible. A friend, who is a retired physician suggested I meet his internist, Dr. Harouni. If you are looking for a doctor who is accessible (send her an email or call her directly), smart, approachable, caring and extraordinarily competent, than, your search is over. Set up a free meet and greet and decide for yourself.

When I called, I was met with an automated message, standard these days, but there were no options for new patients or to reach medical staff. I stayed on the line without pressing any keys, and a human did eventually answer. They were polite, soft-spoken, and informed me that the clinic operates on a membership model. Digging into the site later, I found that membership runs around $3,200 per year. What's not clearly explained is how this integrates with existing insurance. There's no detail on whether labs, prescriptions, or procedures are billed separately or offset at all. Nothing against the clinic itself, but after watching another practice in town fall apart post-buyout, I'm not eager to throw more money into the healthcare black hole, especially on top of already sky-high insurance premiums. Las Vegas isn't exactly budget-friendly, and this setup seems designed more for the west side crowd with disposable income than for the average patient just trying to get solid care without financial acrobatics.

Today is my first yelp review in a LONG time. I had a horrible customer service experience over a…read more20 minute phone call with someone named Cheyenne (sp?). After I offered to send over my digital insurance card by email, (because in the best of times, medical insurance is CONFUSING for me and phone service can be tricky where I am based) I was asked to search and re-count quite a bit of insurance information (no problem- this makes sense). I guess there was some trouble hearing me over the phone (I understand how this can be frustrating which is why i offered to send over this information by email). I was offered an appointment, then told 30 seconds later the appointment was booked by someone else- again, no problem with me- "What's the next available?... Great- a week after, let's book." Then I was asked for my home address before any other contact details. I've never been asked this before by a new Dr., so I hesitated and confirmed that's what she asked for- her response was to just repeat herself- I clearly was looking for further clarification and she was looking to get off the phone as quickly as possible. My main issue was with this receptionist's overrall attitude. I was looking for help, advice, and received a ridiculously short-tempered and off-putting first impression from this office. We all have hard days, Cheyenne. Why do you think I'm calling for a new doctor? I hope this was a one-off experience, but if Cheyenne or her manager sees this, I would encourage this reminder: only one person in this scenario gets paid to answer phone calls at your office, and kindness goes a long way. This office lost a potential patient today.

I can't get in touch with anybody to talk about the bill they sent me so now I have to go down there and put the bill in their face and ask them why they don't answer their phone? You wasted my precious time because you can't do your job you get paid a salary a paycheck and what do you do for it absolutely nothing you sit on your ass all day and you absolutely do nothing you can't even answer the phone nothing but a waste of life and and good for nothing lazy individuals that don't give a damn.

When in a pickle, I have had reason to use Minute Clinics at CVS a couple times over the years…read more Most of the time it is when I cannot get over the hump of the flu/cold after many days, I cannot get to my regular physician and I am pressed for time in my life. It can be a challenge when I do not have an appointment that I would have scheduled on the CVS website, but my advice to a walk-in is be the first on the walk-in schedule for a day if at all possible. It is worth showing up early when they open, because as the day goes on they refuse walk-ins when they are booked and busy. Always know it is best to have an appointment. This was a couple months ago that I was sick and needed care. I walked in as a walk-in at 8:30am and was called in at 9:40am, with people ahead of me with appointments. Wait times happen, welcome to healthcare in America, so come prepared with your I-phone, or laptop or a book. The wait is a small inconvenience to knowing I will get scripts to make me feel better in the coming hours/days...I need to get on with my life. Lou is the medical person that I have seen on several occasions when I need the MinuteClinic. I actually remember her from the Walgreens clinic across the street where she worked many moons ago before Walgreens closed that part of their pharmacy and stopped offering quick care. She is efficient, professional, quick to diagnose, compassionate and gets me out the door with a script promptly, all while I feel like she was not rushing. A script that I can then easily fill right there are the CVS pharmacy. Very convenient. Waiting area is relatively spaced out with chairs and you can always be standing further away near the retail space if germs are an issue. There is no person to check you in, you check in on their kiosk portal in their waiting area. I have gone the route of Telehealth with CVS and due to misdiagnosis, had to walk into the CVS clinic after about a week of no progress in recovery. As such, I am glad this location is here, with a real person like Lou to assist when I am pressed for time and cannot really get in to see my regular physician.
