The dentists themselves are very good at communicating with the children and parents. The hygienists are also very good. Our last visit was with Harriette, who demonstrated the tools and gave positive reinforcement often. I would have given a higher rating but I find the front desk staff lacks any customer service skills, professionalism and borders rude. They don't acknowledge you when you stand at the desk, nor do they give any good explanation of the payment and insurance procedure. When you ask, they speak to you as if you're an idiot. I rarely see them smiling, always looking stressed and over worked, and rather than, "what can I help you with" you're met with a little starky "are you here to check in". Last time I was there, a lady was waiting in the room to pay and the dentist noticed they were in the waiting and had to ask the staff to help. One also chew gum with their mouth open, which just reflects the total lack of professionalism, especially in a child centered pediatric practice. read more
