Dr. Baujin was kind, thoughtful and compassionate and guided us well. I'm sure he could have recommended an expensive plan but he instead analyzed the entire situation and did what was best for Mom. Dr. Sergio Sanchez joined in to consult and was also very reassuring. I felt Mom was in good hands and I strongly recommend this office.

On March 21,2025 I had an appointment at Litchfield Center Dental for a routine cleaning. The…read morehygienist was getting ready to start with the cleaning, but before we start she informed me that they need to take x-rays ( bite-wing) that is routine. I declined. This was the second time I declined ( 6 months prior). The first time I was offered a waiver to sign, but this second time I was not offered the waiver, I was told that it was " against the Law" if they did not take the x-rays, and that they were responsible for me and if something was unforeseen, they would be liable. I told the hygienist It was Not against the law, abd that I am responsible for myself and that I have a right to choose and I did not want to expose myself to unnecessary radiation. She argued with me, as I continued to refuse the x-rays. She then said , " well then we will have to " kick you out of our practice " . I sat there for about 10 seconds in complete shock, and removed the bib, put it on the tray and said " I will leave now". As i walked out, I had to pass by the receptionist, I stopped and asked her if she heard any of what was being said, she just smiled as I commented how ridiculous this was. I was very upset. When i returned home, I call the dentist office back, I wanted to speak with Dr. Kim. The receptionist then started gaslighting me with the same rhetoric the hygienist was giving me. The receptionist said it was on their health forms that they have you update yearly. I guess I have never seen that, and she continued to gaslight me and protect their policies. I told her how upset I was, ( she knew) , and that this is a complete over reach, and bullying, and I was going to write a review exposing my experience. She was angry and said , " are you threatening us" ? She hung up on me! She aslo stated that Dr. Kim had the hygienist tell me about their x-ray policy. Obviously because she didnt want to deal with the controversy. What a coward. I did some research that same day about the legalities of x-ray refusals, and it is not against the law, and any dentist that staes this is a red flag! All you need is a signed waiver! So if anyone is considering Litchfield Center Dental may want to reconsider ! This whole experience was outrageous!

I have been looking for a new dentist office since the one I once went to lost my trust, I started…read morein November 2024 and I explained to them that I haven't been to a Dentist in 3 years. My remaining teeth were beyond repair being broken and so on, I explained that I wanted to have them all removed and denture's put in The woman cleaning my teeth listened to me very well when I told her to becareful with the cleaning and she did just that. The dentist removed a few teeth then told me she will remove the rest after the holidays so I can enjoy it. Before I returned though South Main Dental called me to tell me that the Dentist actually left the practice, like literally left and never returned. I was upset because she was gentle with me, but another dentist came in and took over her isn't like the lady yes he pulled a few teeth out also but afterwards he didn't prescribe me ibuprofen and amoxicellin. I ended up with infected gums and thank goodness I had a little left of each to help me get through the pain I was dealing with. I just wish dentist offices had a policy to when teeth are pulled make sure the patient goes home with those two items.

The front staff is nothing but rude and condescending, whether you are there for an appointment, scheduling an appointment, or calling for any other reason. After contacting the office, the receptionist got an attitude and hung up on me because they were calling the wrong phone number for a patient. The billing department is even worse. Apparently a code was changed with our insurance, which we were unaware of, yet when I called the office to discuss it, I should have apparently knew this and called them much sooner, extremely rude behavior by everyone other than the hygienist. I told the office to listen the recorded phone calls so they could properly train their staff on how to treat patients.

Companionate, wonderful, gentle dental office!!!! Highly recommend this team of professionals!read more
