I needed to see a GP, the ones listed on my insurance website were all closed for the Christmas holiday (and the week after the holiday, too), and even the hospitals were closed. The staff was polite, the doctor was very helpful, and they're right above McCabe's Pharmacy in Dundrum Town Centre, so any prescriptions can get filled right away. The doctor also worked with me to help refill a US-Based prescription. The website is very helpful, something that I discovered was not true as I was hunting for healthcare. It even has a loyalty card that gives discounts on the GP visit. The one drawback to the place was its overall location and appearance. The 4th Floor of the Town Centre isn't that hard to find, but NOWHERE do the words PRIMACARE appear anywhere on the signage, and once we found it, we still weren't sure if we were in the right place, the interior corridors and the waiting area had a slightly rundown feeling. The Staff was very nice, the doctor quite competent, and at 50 Euro, the visit compared favorably with other pricing in Dublin. If you need to get in, call ahead to be sure they can fit you in. Bottom Line: If you need GP services and don't know where to start, this is an excellent option.

Never go there if you are actually sick/injured, I had twisted my ankle badly, I humped down there…read moreand in the room (when I finally got in 50 min later than my scheduled appointment) I was about to remove my sock thinking he needed to examine it but no that wasn't nessary... I just got an anitinflamatory cream.... I went to the AE on my own accord couple days later when I could no longer walk more than 10meters without tearing up, and it turned out that I had not only torn a ligament but also broken a small bone in the foot... This is not the first time I have gone there (naiivly I thought it was just the one doctor who was incompetent) not the case, I ended up in hospital for 4 days when I was diagnosed with one thing by looking down my throat and the swelling though I had said I had had this before and needed x y an z, but he ignored me and said he was certain it was not - gave me drugs for throat and ear infection.... Guess what, i was right and was only referred to hospital when the swelling was so bad that I had trouble breathing and drinking water and in so much pain that my body couldn't carry me. They don't listen, they don't examine you or have empathy.
