I work in the medical field all I have to say is it is a very hard high stress and most of the time an thankless job-we all have our bad days- and that is where our compassion and love for what we do makes it worth it. She took it upon herself to have the billers audit my chart and rebill what needed to be rebilled rather than put it on me or leave it to me to stress about. After about 4 minutes of standing there with no response from the mysterious window, someone finally opened it and asked what I wanted. The lady was upset that I wasn't already a patient and when I told her my insurance was medi-cal, she took a step back like I had said a swear word at her. She told me medi-cal wasn't accepted there, and when I told her the office was listed in the medi-cal catalog the county sent me, she said it must not have been updated yet. Not their fault the county hasn't updated their provider listings but what little I saw left me surprised anyone would go there for their healthcare needs.
