Hey hey hey, what do I have to say? About the day, I visited the place, off of Albion and the highway? Well, Dr. Flea's Flea Market is nice for a Flea market, I think. Truth be told, I'm not a huge flea market connnaiseur, but this one is pretty cool. It has a nice variety of items, from fashion, to accessories, jewellery, fragmences, food, toys, tools, small home appliences, electronics, phone stuff, car stuff, psychics and more. It's a great place to practice your haggling skills. I think the best part was that Dr Flea himself, the myth the man the legend, was there giving away prizes to customers. He periodically speaks over the speakers announcing what's happening and holds little games like: "the first two people to find me and show a hair pin will win a prize". Now people, this is a flea market. It's cheap stuff for cheap. Don't come here expecting a high end shipping experience. It's crowded, messy, and confusingly organized. But chances are there's more than a few things in there you need and it won't cost you too much to take home. read more

Just visited Toronto and went to Dr. Flea's Flea Market! It's the city's largest indoor flea market with over 400 vendors offering everything from souvenirs and vintage finds to electronics, clothing, and handmade crafts. The food court has great international eats too! I found some great deals and especially the savings on the exchange rate too. read more

Worst place to get your iPad or electronics fixed, especially booth 1604! I simply wanted to get my broken iPad mini screen fixed and today I got it back. They put paper clips (CRAZIEST thing ive ever seen) on the four corners and said something was wrong internally and would shut off after several min. The home button is also no longer working and they've turned on the assistive on screen home button. THIS IS NOT A QUALITY SERVICE to get your electronics fixed. They asked afterwards that getting interal parts checked out would be $35 and then to get it fixed is another price. This place can't be trusted after what happened. I should have went to more reputable services to get electronics fixed and done more research and read reviews. I went here out of convenience because it was so close to home. There are plenty of quality businesses out there that give you what you want without ANY of these horrible SURPRISES. read more

Lot of vendors but I wasn't impressed. There were many stores such as cell phone accessory, toys, movies, music, flowers, rugs, electronics, jewelry and food vendors. The shops weren't interesting and the food court was tiny. Overall, this wasn't worth the visit. The only highlight was the corn and coconut vendor outside in the parking lot during summer months. read more

Went there on a lark by a friend staying over. He heard about this place as it had a bit of everything and he was looking for something not common. Went there and it was many of the same store, the carpet store, the cell phone accessory store, the knock off jewelry store. Nothing really that interesting. They did have a farmers market outside which was different but the food (albeit near the end of the day) was not good. The selection looked like the bottom of the bowl and about as fresh. Overall, I good place to kill time if you are in the area, but no reason to head over there from any major distance. read more

Good place to buy vinyl it sometime could be expensive they got action figures and retro vinyl and retro video games all right next to each other for all the collectors like me. They sell good smelling food I haven't tried any but it smells really good. I would mostly just go there if your hungry and or you want to buy retro games and vinyl. Growing up in the Rexdale area, I've been shopping at Dr. Flea religiously for well over 20 years. The outdoor Farmer's Market offers a surprisingly large selection of fruits & vegetables, there's plenty of electronic/Movie shops and (on occasion) Dr. Flea's even sets up in-store Celebrity Autograph sessions. As a Wrestling fan in particular, I missed out on getting Autographs from Bret Hart, Demolition Ax & Smash as well as Jimmy Hart to name a few. read more

I have never been to this place before. Went there just for something to do and it was horrible. There is nothing interesting there, nothing good. They also had a farmers market that I thought would be great to pick up some fresh fruits but that was the most dirtiest markets around here. I have never been to one like that in Ontario. Dirty , bad veggies and fruits... Surprisingly a lot of people there, the parking lot was full... I don't recommend this farmers maker or flea market itself. read more

i'm shocked this location doesn't have better reviews... this location like a another alternative, has something for everyone, and if you can't find it...well i'm not sure what to say. this location has some charm to it, it is completely indoors, minus the fruit and veggie pop up that happens during the end of summer and fall. the only knock I have against this place is the meat mart in one of the corners is a tad bit brutal seeing people hack up food. come and check this place out and get lost. lots of parking available, but it might take you a bit to find something. read more

For Toronto's Largest Flea Market .. This was quite disappointing. They have a lot of the same vendors in the market: -tons of cell phone accessory stores.. Counted at least 6 or more - at least 3 of the following (probably same owners): toys, movies, flowers, rugs, old electronics, jewelry There was no real varitiey of vendors. Their food court was very small... Not much "international" flavours as advertised. This flea market is very south east asian and the quality of products didn't look as great. The place also looked run down a bit, but it is expected for a flea market. Overall, this wasn't worth the drive to the market in the end. The Hwy 400 flea market is much better. The only positive was a small little gift shop which sold stuff for parties and weddings. read more

Haven't been here in 15 years and nothing's changed. It's the same old cramped, bare-bones flea market it always was. Mostly lower-quality clothing, electronics, and jewellery booths. Who buys lingerie at a flea market? No one with dignity. If you look hard enough you'll probably find something decent though. There are a few cool booths.There's a coin collector shop (Beechwood Coins). You can get yourself a silver Canadian dollar, a Canadian 50-cent coin, or a $2 bill, remember those? I picked up an 1850 Canadian half-penny for $5.They also have silver/gold. I also saw a place selling blades/knives and a couple of video game shops. The food court is laughably tiny. If you came here with your parents as a kid it can be sort of fun to take half an hour and go for a stroll. But other than that it's not really worth it for most people. read more

The term flea market is a bit misleading, but Dr. Flea's is a great place for bargain shoppers. Think of it as a sort of Chinatown experience: full of knock-offs, negotiating prices and deals to be had on everything from tech accessories to household items and clothes. Remember to bring cash, check your items before paying (I doubt any retailer here does returns/exchanges) and enjoy the bargain shopping. There's also a bunch of ethnic food retailers here as well, with Jamaican patties being a personal fav. Parking is free. read more

It's dirty, the food court is full of food that will make the mcdonalds across the road look like a clean 5 star place to bring the family. I'd rather eat big macs off of a dirty toilet seat. A double bigmac is probably less greasier too. The stuff is so low quality and faulty factory seconds that the city should fine half the vendors for littering just by placing that junk in their "shops" . It's like our wallets are going to a really low class strip club how sleazy it is there, or a trip to the dump where it smells of incense sticks and knock off cologne if you don't get a good wiff of body odor and curry going place to place (good luck) Just like the woodbine center (which I'm reviewing next) and neighborhood this is in this place really went down hill. An annoying guy going HEY HEY HEY IT'S DR FLEAS, a wall of has beens that have been in there like this or that singer, this or that wrestler that the locals would have no idea who they are. Lots of junk like this guy selling 2$ dvds that belong in the trash with no original cases or anything.. pirated movies for the cops to bust the people doing it for some last minute end of the month tickets/fines. A dirty farmers market where the fruits and vegetables will probably give you a disease or rot within days of purchase quicker then organic foods. I'd feel safer eating the produce out of a bio chemical waste dumpster. There is a reason grocery stores don't sell their produce that cheap because it will last longer than a day or two. I know times are tough, people have said it for decades. Don't be cheap and buy quality. There used to be an asian anime store, a comic book shop and a few other reasons to go back in the mid 2000s. There is nothing there now, knock offs of everything from colognes and perfumes to clothing I don't know why half of them pay the annual vendor fee. But hey it gets them out of the house. One of my favorites is this guy in the parking lot trying to sell used power tools. Paint on them, covered in rust.. oh heck yeah! I want it, it has character and is totally gonna last me since the first time it was plugged in Ronald Reagan was in the white house. this place serves one purpose. It's one of those places you go to with people from out of town who want the true rexdale experience without getting your car broken into. ways to improve better stores.. which will never happen (Thank you ebay I love you) the ONLY logical thing would be to tear it down and build a bestbuy or a few big named stores like the source, dollarama and so forth.. or turn it into a ttc subway station. read more

While this place may at one point been a worthwhile weekend distraction, what it is now would be better classified as an indoor rummage sale or glorified dollar store. Depending on where you enter the building you are immediately accosted by the smell of either knock-off fragrances, incense, fried food, or cheap plastic toys. The entire place is full of shopkeepers who deal amongst their own compatriots exclusively in the medium of dirt-cheap and low-quality products. I'm not sure who is out there buying Pentium III computers or used 700mhz cordless phones in 2015 but judging by the stores, there must be a sucker for them. Dr. Fleas boasts an "international food court" which in reality is nothing more than a few stalls hocking Caribbean, Italian, and Middle-Eastern style food. Most units don't have real kitchens for food prep and most of the stuff appears to be brought in from the proprietor's own home kitchens then warmed on-site. Simply put, unless you're in the market for bottom-of-the-barrel, low-quality items avoid this flea market. There's nothing worth buying here otherwise. read more

You know what you're in for the moment you walk in and the smell hits you. If you're looking for off brand "Made in China" junk, psychics or bootleg DVD's this is the Flea Market for you. While there you can also play the "Eat from a vendor and see how many rows you can walk before having to find a washroom" game, I believe the record is 5 rows. I've waited outside of a store for 2 hours in the cold rain only to find out it wasn't open that day before and that was time better spent than the 30 minutes I spent walking around Dr. Flea's. read more

Visited last weekend with my husband. Truly something for everyone as Dr. Flea says, amazing bargains like usual on an endless variety of items! Haven't been there in a while but the beauty about this place is that year in and year out it retains the same vibe and energy. Unlike most businesses these days that aim to go into a multi level corporate direction, Dr. Flea's still feels like the same warm family destination to visit on the weekend year after year.. Where else can you go where you are treated like a family member at home? To me that's a priceless experience everytime, Dr. Flea talking to everyone, giving out lollipops to kids, treating everyone with respect and making us feel at home! We bought some fresh fruits and vegetables, as well as some goodies for our house. If you're looking for salesman walking around in suits, brands like Louis Vuitton, Hugo Boss etc.. and marble floors this is not the right place, Yorkdale is a better option for sure. But if you appreciate a warm, down to earth, and family environment where the owner will come and personally shake your hand and ask you how you're doing, you'll love this place! Definitely one of those places that are a part of Toronto's unique heritage and history unlike all those other malls and shopping centres with the same stores and brands across the country. read more

I went there to buy a esmoke and looked around and found Sassy Joes. Bought 2 sets of automatic esmoke. He showed me how to use it and said they needed to be charged. Charged both batteries..didn't work. Went back and he got it to work but only but not smoking it the way its supposed to be done. Wouldn't do a refund..tried again and still couldn't get it to work..went back again..still wouldn't do a refund or even credit....DO NOT BUY FROM HIM..hes a crook and will take your money and give you bad goods!!!! ps..his liquid he says is 14g nicotine..don't be fooled..its not!!! read more

Holy! Love this flea market, i'm a frequent visitor here. (once every two weeks-ish). My regular routine is going in, walking for about 1 hour. Then stopping for some bubble tea. Then going over to the dvd booths and grab a couple dvds (great prices btw...yes i know they are pirated -.-), then I go shopping for purses for the one and only wife ... yay .... and last stop is always my favorite! The Food Court!!!! I would frequently go and buy jamaican patties until the new owners at the italian food booth came in!! MAN I LOVE THESE GUYS! Their food is perfection! THE PRICES ARE VERRRRRY LOW = MORE FOOD FOR ME!!!! Slices of pizza are only $2 for any slice i think but i always get the pepperoni slice (man they say the sauce is homemade, which just makes it so perfect, its SO GOOD). They also have the any plate big meal deal which is like $5 FLAT and comes with rice (choose the spicy rice), your choice of chicken (BOTH THE CHICKEN LEG AND PARMESAN BREADED CHICKEN BREAST ARE AMAZZZZZZZING! BUT THE CHICKEN LEG IS A BIT SPICY!), a choice of side (HOLYYYYY TRY THE STIR FRIED POTATOES AND ONIONS!! I ALWAYS ASK FOR EXTRA :$)...and salad on the side! (they only have one kind of salad i think but i always opt out of salad (i dont like veggies lol) and instead they have these other sides which are like puffed up calzone thingies which are like 50 cents each but give you 2 on the side if you opt out of salad ... and boy .... those things are good.... i always get like 10 of the calzone popping thingies to take home ... and wife and kids love them!!! 50 CENTS!?!? how can you go wrong ... The new owners have really improved the food quality and have completely changed the menus aswell ... i'd love to try their pizza subs next ... footlong for $5 flat, and unlimited toppings ... and then i finish off my day by going to the book booth and picking up a book or two for the kids! Weekends well spent forsure! I've been a frequent visitor here for 5+ years, and believe me, after connecting with the vendors and coming atleast twice a month, it turns into a second home! PS. THEY ARE VERY CLEAN. They have multiple janitors and care takers who are constantly sweeping and mopping ... definately one of the cleanest flea markets around. read more

Traditional flea market fare, a good time-killer.

I'm going to start off this review with full disclosure - I have been a vendor at Dr Fleas for the last three years, most currently as the owner of Bella Cucina Pizza in the Food Court. That being said, this is not a biased review but an honest one. As in life, no business is perfect. There are highs and lows, good things and bad. I believe that a review should reflect this to give potential customers a true picture of a business. I don't want customers to be disappointed with their experience at a business simply because the reality of their visit did not match the glowing reviews they read online. On the flipside, I don't want them to choose to avoid a business based on overly negative reviews that deny the positives that can be found in any business, and miss a potentially great experience there. In General, Dr Flea's is one of the brighter and cleaner Flea Markets around. I don't notice any particularily offensive odors, nor any dirty or filthy areas. There are numerous garbage cans around the market, which the staff diligently empty as needed. Any trash on the floor due to patrons not using the garbage cans is quickly disposed of when seen by staff. The staff are friendly, and very approachable. They will let you know where to find what you are looking for, and will even take a few minutes to chat if you want. There is a lot of repetition - Mutiple Cell Phone booths, perfume booths, clothing booths, etc. But remember, a typical flea market booth is about 10' x 7' - definitely not the same size as most retail stores. So, even though there might be several booths selling the same TYPE of item, they aren't all selling the SAME items, or at the same price. For example, when you go to a mall, there are also several cell phone stores, but it's not like they are all BELL, or all ROGERS. To state that the flea market has several cell phone booths all selling the SAME thing is disingenous, and does not recognize the inherent variety contained in their offerings. So yes, there are multiple booths selling SIMILAR items, but each one is unique in what it offers. On the other hand, there are many booths that are unique in their offerings that get glossed over by many reviews. At times there may be an overabundance of booths selling particular items, but in my opinion that is better than having fewer choices with more empty booths. You might miss out on that one item you've been looking for because you don't bother dropping by. There are various restaurants, not only in the food court, but at the North End of the market, and outside in the courtyard. Everybody has different taste when it comes to what kind of food they enjoy, so not everybody is going to appreciate or like all the food that is being offered, but there is something for everyone. And just because it is offered in a flea market does not mean it is dirty or unsafe. All the restaurants are subject to the same Dine Safe Health inspections required by any restaurant in Toronto. There is a large farmers market in the greenhouse out in the courtyard. While it is true that on any given week-end some of the vegetables and fruits look like they have seen better days, many of them look and feel just fine. They provide a really good deal, especially considering the low prices you pay. Buy what you like, leave what you don't, and you will still come out on top in the value department. Go to Dr Fleas and take a look around, it won't cost you anything to visit. If you see something you don't like, go up to the office and let them know - they want you to have a good experience so you will be a returning customer. Don't let bad reviews turn you off from visiting Dr Fleas, give it a chance at least once, then make up your own mind. Remember, the only bad experience is the one you let someone else talk you out of. read more

No Stars ####### Dr.Fleas/Joe's Bird/Birds are Sick Die after two days###### Never ever buy from joes birds from Dr. Fleas.... His birds are sick His birds die after 2 days I not one to write bad things about people or anything however I think the word needs to go out there about Joes Birds at Dr. Fleas... I bought a Parrott on Sunday at 4:45pm just before the flea market closed and by the time i got home i the birds eye was pinkish/red around the left eye. Monday the eye swollen up and was even more red. Tuesday it was red with water/puss coming out the eye and it looked like the eye was coming out. i called the vet and made an appointment for the bird to get it checked out. Tuesday night the bird was breathing funny, sounding lie crackling on the chest...Wednesday morning i woke up and the bird was died. it tired to get in contact with Joe from the Monday, Thursday i finally got a call from Joe and Thursday morning and told him everything, i video typed the bird from the day i got it to the day it died. i bought the bird food from Joe and that all i gave the bird wit fresh water.. joes response was i would have to pay him for another bird, he said i picked that bird and i asked Joe "if he knew that bird was sick?" he's reply was "all the birds are healthy".
