Don't EVER go to Robert Watts.  Because I had to be seen more than twice, I called "too many times"…read moreand disagreed with him, he was extremely rude to me, very impatient and even swore at me!  The reason?  I was still having pain in one area of the bone graft.  He said "I'll take it out then if that's what you want." He  insisted that a bone graft is not necessary if you are not getting an implant and I disagreed. Hence, his nasty attitude.  He said that a bone graft does not preserve your gum tissue and keep your teeth from shifting.  I have had other oral surgeons in the past who did the same procedure and they strongly disagree and here is an additional opinion: "Loss of bone structure and density is a problem for so many reasons: Bone loss make you look significantly older than you need to because you lose the support structure under your face causing a collapsed look and an increase in wrinkles. After one or more teeth are lost, bone resorption can cause your remaining teeth to shift and become loose. If the jawbone is not stimulated by a tooth's roots or by implant posts, bone continues to be absorbed by your body and prosthetics such as dentures, partials or bridges will become ill-fitting and loose and will need to be constantly refitted.
