The office could use a facelift, but they did move my appointment along quickly enough compared to what I would call an average cleaning and inspection. The way they do things has me scratching my head a bit though. They made me two appointments within a month of each other. First appointment, they took a panoramic x-ray and that was it. No going over the results, no nothing. The next month, I came in for my cleaning and exam as well as, surprisingly, more x-rays! This time was of the bite down variety. When I first went in for the cleaning, someone started off by polishing my teeth and using dental floss on me, and then off they went. I have gotten an awful dentist experience like that years ago, so I was getting ready to get upset over this. To my surprise, the next person who came in wasn't the dentist, but another hygienist who was there to now water pick and get all the tartar out of my teeth, as I would expect a decent cleaning to go. What the point of the first person was, I still don't know. I then got told my gums are in recession, which I said I was aware and they've been in recession for years, much like the US economy. I was then referred to a periodontist for some kind of laser procedure that WOULD grow back my gum tissue, but they already told me even before giving me the referral that my insurance won't cover it. I don't have the money to do it out of pocket, of course, so God bless America, I guess? Oh, and there's a Starbucks machine in the waiting room, as any good dentist office would be expected to have...I did not verify whether it actually was a functioning Starbucks machine, so I guess I'll have to give it a test at my next appointment. Bottom line, you'll get a decent cleaning here, but you'll leave feeling confused and like it could've been better. Much like a random hook-up, I suppose, I don't think I'll be getting into any long-term commitments with this office.
