I started with an online consultation, then traveled for an in-person consultation, and eventually had surgery with him. From start to finish, Dr. Kim was absolutely fantastic. I had a very specific vision in my head: I wanted a fuller chest that still looked natural on my frame and could almost feel modest at the same time. I was very nervous about ending up too large or looking overly augmented, and he understood exactly what I meant. I am now 10 months post-op and I genuinely could not be happier. He got what I wanted to a T. The size, shape, and overall look feel completely right for me, and I'm so grateful I trusted his judgment. One of the things that made the experience especially reassuring as an out-of-town patient was how personally involved he is in the entire process. He handles everything from beginning to end, and he is the person I communicate with directly. He provides his phone number and email, answers questions incredibly quickly, and continues to follow up with me regularly even this far out from surgery. Offices were spam calling me back daily or bombarding me with emails like ad agencies lol. Or that typical tiktok "this doctor has THIS special technique" which felt sooo gimmicky and fake. I never felt like I really got to see PS doctors as medical providers and get to speak to them without the shiny Beverly Hills facade. Plastic surgery does have this trendy side.. i get it. But it is still a very big medical procedure and I really felt like I just couldn't trust a lot of these flashy doctors I'd spoken to... I lost around 40 lbs and I always dreamed of fixing my lower pooch area - my case is a little odd because I haven't had kids yet and am relatively lean - I was looking for a really refined result. AND zero BS. just tell me what's possible and what's not. Dr. Kim didn't take a crazy consultation fee. I didn't wait months for a consultation. He didn't try to sell me anything. His office looks and works like an actual (clean and beautiful) medical office. I never waited for my appointments. During my consultation, he gave me plenty of time to ask questions and voice my concerns. I didn't feel like I was being spoken down to or being sold a used car. Finally felt like I'm speaking with a doctor who can actually lay out to me exactly what to expect moving forward, the downsides and upsides of my options, and what was and wasn't possible. Nothing was downplayed or overexaggerated. I had never had surgery before and so I really wasn't ready to have a big procedure like a tummy tuck. I asked if there was a more conservative option for my loose skin/pooch - we settled on a mini tuck with lipo to remove a large portion of my problem area - with the door always open for a full if I ever wanted. Dr. Kim was supportive, nonjudgmental and honest about whatever decision I chose. Results - my mini TT results were BEAUTIFUL. My stubborn lower pooch was totally smoothed out - no lipo ripples or weird creases. I recovered in like 2 weeks. No infections, no broken stitches, no seromas, no hypertrophic scarring, no dead skin, just... nothing. Dr. checked in with me after surgery multiple times to make sure I was doing okay. My garment fit comfortably and I was on just tylenol by the end of day 2. My incision healed into a thin, fine line which was sooo easily covered in a bikini. Way later when I was finally ready for a full tummy tuck surgery to reach the last bits of loose skin, the ease of my decision was in large part influenced by how smooth my past experience was. I trusted I was in good hands, and I was right. AGAIN, the entire procedure despite being a WAY bigger one, was just as smooth as the first time. Drains were easy. Stitches dissolved easily. The new incision is exactly where we planned for it to be - thin, and very very low and replaced my older scar. I entrusted Dr Kim to decide whether muscle repair was needed or not - he said he will if needed, since we're already in there let's make it perfect! I am snatched lol :'D my belly button looks so cute with a little hood, it looks natural and lovely. I'm around 3 weeks out and my incision is already so clean and healing very well. At this point, I can say I have a very good idea of how Dr Kim's office works, the pre op, surgery, the follow up, as well as healing/recovery. All the girls remember me, they make scheduling extremely easy, are fun to talk to, and before and after my operation my nurse really made me feel safe, cared for, and at ease. I was given all instructions and medications promptly and on time, as well as the Dr's personal number for any issues at all. Everyone has their own experiences and surgery is a big decision which can have unpredictable outcomes. But for me, choosing Dr. kim (twice) was the best decision I made for myself. Dr. Honrado had no obligation to see me, his schedule was full, I wasn't an established patient, and I wasn't seeking cosmetic services. But he took me in anyway, simply because he was genuinely concerned for my well-being. That single act of kindness set the tone for everything that followed and speaks volumes about his character. To make a VERY long story short, I developed what is believed to have been a biofilm infection triggered by dental work that didn't go as planned. The infection ultimately attacked filler I had received about six months prior (not performed by Dr. Honrado). I was in really bad shape - I'll spare you the photos. I honestly don't know what I would have done without Dr. H and his incredible staff, especially Madison! Without question, should I ever pursue any future cosmetic procedures, Dr. Honrado is the only person I would trust. I am profoundly grateful for his expertise, and even more so, for his humanity.

I had many choices for such a routine hernia repair surgery, but chose to go with Dr. Moein because of the incredible patience and detail with which he chose to explain his particular approach to me, my belief in and observation of his meticulous nature, and the genuine care and friendliness with which he and his team treated me. The procedure went very smoothly, and aside from mild discomfort in my shoulders (a side effect of gas left over from the laparoscopy) I had no discomfort and required no medications from pain at the site of the repair itself. Two weeks out, I am having to restrain myself from more vigorous exercise because things feel so normal. I am a huge fan of Dr. Moein and would recommend him to anyone for any of his specialties, cosmetic or bariatric. And for something so routine as an inguinal hernia I am extremely glad I went with Dr. Moein. Such surgeries can have complications, and the quality of the dissections and the degree to which the surgeon goes to avoid other important structures has an effect on outcomes. Another random detail: another surgeon recommended by my PCP always puts in urinary catheters for inguinal hernia surgeries and Dr. Moein never does---an annoyance I was really glad to avoid and I attribute his choice to his over thoughtfulness about what is necessary and sufficient for good outcomes.

He also had me sign paper work immediately after my surgery , he took it upon himself to do a few more surgical areas that I did not discuss with him beforehand , I had a very kind nurse at UCLA hospital that researched this doctor and told me he was not a board certified plastic surgeon..... However, his business card is very misleading , I was there for 4 days at $16,000 per day , I had severe nerve damage and was on pain medicine for almost 5 months was unable to work , drive etc for that entire time , i'm still dealing with certain movements and pain now on my 6th month . He suggested his personal nurse Maude for aftercare , when the pain increased so bad initially after surgery the nurse would not call 911 , I felt scared & trapped , after one hour of complaining she had made the second call to Dr. Moein , who was not going to let her call 911 finally he agreed and allowed her to call 911 , Dr Moein was very nice initially, but once there was a problem, he was very shrewd , non compassionate , however, at the fifth of month as the worst of pain has decreased. From the moment I arrived, the entire consultation felt surprisingly impersonal. Most of my appointment was spent with very young staff members rather than the surgeon himself. By the time I actually met with Dr. Barrett, it was only for about five minutes. He was pleasant and professional, but the entire experience felt rushed and transactional. I left almost feeling like it was a fever dream, it was over so quickly that I walked away confused instead of confident. The biggest disappointment was being told that the only way I would have a good breast augmentation result was with a lollipop lift and implants. I wasn't told this as an option it was presented as essentially the only option that would look good for my anatomy. I left feeling discouraged and thinking I didn't really have a choice. Thankfully, I listened to my gut and scheduled consultations with other highly respected, board-certified plastic surgeons. Every other surgeon had a different perspective. I ultimately chose another extremely reputable surgeon who recommended Motiva Ergonomix implants placed over the muscle (subfascial). He explained that because I had only mild pseudo-ptosis, the implant itself would provide the subtle lift and upper-pole fullness I was looking for without requiring a lollipop lift. I'm now on the other side of surgery, and I could not be happier with my results. I got exactly the look I wanted, avoided unnecessary scars, and didn't need the more invasive procedure I had been told was my only option. To be clear, I don't think Dr. Barrett was unkind. He was nice during the brief time we spoke. My issue was that the consultation felt rushed, impersonal, and left me feeling defeated rather than educated. Looking back, I'm so grateful I sought additional opinions before making such an important decision. My biggest advice to anyone considering cosmetic surgery is this: please get multiple consultations. One surgeon's opinion is not always the only answer.
