There is metered street parking on the streets surrounding the park and within a reasonable walking distance. This park is one of the first formal parks in the chain and date back to the 1880s when it was developed for public use. This park is in very good shape and is maintained by the City of Tallahassee Department of Parks, Recreation and Neighborhood Affairs. This is not a very big park and is a very thin, long park. It primarily consists of a long brick paved walkway that runs down the center of it, with benches placed along each side to sit. There is a brick circular area in the middle of the park with a bunch of benches that runs along its perimeter. You will also find a nice fountain there that adds some ambiance and tranquility and a time capsule marked with a bronze plaque marker on the ground. This is a straightforward park with what you see is what you get. The shady canopy of live oaks trees that you will find throughout the park and the landscaping are amazing and very picturesque.
