I was previously not sold on using a Fishing Guide again after a bad experience a few years back where we paid a lot, and only caught 13 fish, and a trip that the guide decided to shorten to about 2.5 hours on a 4 hour trip. Kevin came personally recommended, and when my friends showed me the pictures from their trip, it kept eating at me. SO I made the commitment to try it again. Kevin is very professional, and knowledgeable. As we moved onto the lake , he stopped and walked us through what would happen on the trip, also gave us the safety conversation pertaining to other boats passing through and the impacts. Then onto the trip. The first spot he took us to , we caught at 50 fish or more, unbelievable, I have never caught that many fish in one setting in my life, at least that bog, perch at the ocean don't really count, lol. Kevin's knowledge of fishing in general is outstanding, he shared experiences with us, he was also watching our lines, even when we didn't see the bend in the pole, he did and was quick to tell us "Set it now", and we caught another. I will definitely be going back. We did the afternoon trip this time, next we will do the morning trip, not sure it can get better than the previous time though. This was my first time fishing so I had no idea what to expect .. and Kevin and Nate helped me so much and made me feel very comfortable. I caught quite a few fish myself and had an amazing time. They are very knowledgeable of the lake, the fish, the boat and they both took the time to answer all of our questions. My fiance and I had had an amazing time and we are thinking of booking another trip with them and taking our kiddo with us, I think it would be something great for him. Just finished a Saturday morning of great fishing on lake Texoma with Kevin and Kyle of Downwind fishing guides. They were both very professional and friendly. They had us on fish in less than 30 minutes after launching. No running all over the lake looking for fish. They made my wife ( who does not fish a lot ) fell very comfortable and helped her out with how to set the hook and bring in the fish. All I had to do was just keep and eye on my pole and catch fish. Decided to do something a little different for a work meeting and took some clients out with Kevin for the morning. We lost count of how many fish we caught but it was at least 80 maybe more. Two biggest were over 10 pounds. it was almost ridiculous how many fish we were able to catch. We are from Florida and know salt water fishing and I have never seen anything like this before. Kevin took us out last weekend for a sand bass trip. He had us on top of the fish right off the bat. We were able to limit out with plenty of bait to spare.
