It nice and decorated in the lobby/ concession area as they do for any big movie premiere. If you've never been they serve drinks, hot dogs, nachos, and alcohol beverages. Once inside theater wasn't clean, popcorn littered the stairs and once I was seated my chair didn't work. Movie was getting ready to start so I didn't bother to request to move. Once the movie was over I did inform staff who directed me over to the customer service desk where the manager was. Instead they of apologizing for the inconvenience... he asked why I didn't come report it because it's usually a quick fix with a breaker. I informed him the movie had just started and I didn't want to miss anything, his lack of understanding and compassion startled me as I was immediately thrown off. I spent over $60 in tickets, then another $50 on popcorn and concessions. I will not be returning, lesson learned! Customer service is priority, when and where I'm spending my money.

Unfortunately the popcorn seemed stale. The family restroom smelled like stale urine. The theater itself was pretty hot. The cupholders had sticky residue on them and there was a lot of trash stuffed under the seats. Another thing that was kind of odd was there was no signage above the door showing what movie was being played. Fortunately for me I attended with children who don't really care about any of that stuff but for $100 on tickets and snacks I think we will visit another theater next time

This is the place where you get to see a current movie in an air-conditioned, clean theater, not overcrowded and for a great value. The team is also always on point very kind and courteous. You can purchase your tickets online and or right up front at the box office with a live person when you arrive. The seating is comfortable and you will not find old-school Hollywood film vibes anywhere else in town but from the murals on these walls that create a sense of wonder and excitement! Plus, while inside--there's a whole lot more in store at this older western themed casino to check out. I don't think it matters too much what you see here as long as you have good company and have fun! We saw Masters of The Universe...lol I never thought in a million years I'd see a movie like this but it was truly entertaining. Most of the daily matinee films are under six bucks. Where as evening is still very reasonable. You cannot beat this deal seriously check out Century 18 at Sam's Town. As we're sitting in my truck a female security guard rides through on her bicycle. She sees my dog and immediately confronts me saying my dog could jump out of the window and attack her. As I'm attempting to explain that he wouldn't do that she cut me off and starts to say "Since you're going to be argumentative..." I cut her off in return and explained that he wouldn't do that because he's my trained service dog. She immediately pivots to my trailer stating it can't be parked in this part of the lot and I must move it. I have multiple sclerosis and I'm unable to walk long distances, even with the assistance of my service dog...I guess we won't be seeing a movie here because I'm unable to park the equivalence of 2 blocks away and walk to the movies. Each guard has personal recognicence that they've proven they possess for any situation they encounter...in my personal opinion, she could've addressed the situation differently instead of immediately becoming abrasive.

While the inventory has gown downhill in recent years, I'm glad they have been able to stay open. The vintage posters sold on consignment are cool (though that rare Revenge of the Jedi one sheet has been in there for years now) but the new posters are mostly reprints. If you need help tracking down an original poster, the owners are glad to help. The 5x7 and 8x10 photos are mostly reprints (and poor, blurry reprints at that). Some decent lobby cards but most of them aren't really worth buying. I still like this shop and I encourage all movie buffs to stop in and buy something; let's keep them open!

This is a review for the 7th Annual Las Vegas Film Festival. It has moved from the LVH Hotel to…read morethe Inspire and Scullery Theatres, part of the Downtown Project. I sent a correction to Yelp HQ and they changed the URL but not the location. Go figure! This would get 4 stars from me but for several hopefully first time problems. One, the times listed on the schedules are merely guides to what the actual time will be. I believe that only one of eleven screenings I did started with 5 minutes of the actual scheduled time. There were a number of problems with equipment. At the Scullery Theatre, one film had to be restarted 3 times before they corrected the problem with the narration track being audible. We saw the first five minutes of the movie 4 times and it was Groundhog Day. At the Inspire Theatre, a DVD player had to be changed out because it stopped working properly. I hope this is first timer problems but one would think the staff would be trained with the equipment before the festival. With screenings occurring only in 2 theatres, there are no films that are repeated during the five days so choose wisely. I started to compare this to CineVegas which was at the Palms and had multiple screenings of each movie. I had to rethink how I did a film festival with these limitations. Also, the distance between the two theatres is two long blocks. But since the schedule is only a guide, you shouldn't be late for any screening. I found the staff, both programmers and volunteers, to be very friendly and helpful. Make sure that you use the scheduling program at the website. When you build your schedule, it also creates an RSVP for you and you will be on the list if they have both a general admission and a VIP line. I look forward to attending again next year and I hope I can upgrade my rating.

There was a giveaway to win a couple VIP passes and I was one of the lucky winners! Bang Bang was the film I really wanted to see and the screening was on my day off. I brought fellow film buff Angela along and she was the perfect choice. The film was very good. After the film rap artist and star of the film, Thai Ngo performed 2 songs. Then they had an Audience Q&A session with director Byron Q, producer James Bak and a few of the actors from Bang Bang. Next we headed over to Benihana for the SDAFF After Party. Free Asahi and Tyku sake! We got to hang out with the cast and crew from Bang Bang. Most of our time was spent chatting with actors David Huynh and Vanna Fut. These guys are real down to earth. The free drinks ended at midnight so David invited everyone up to his room to continue the after party. Stayed there for a couple hours and left when everyone decided to head over to Revolution. So far it has been effin awesome! I might try to hit up the screening for Model Minority before going to work. Hit me up if you want to meet up.

Only most of the best chefs of Las Vegas get to be invited to participate in this festival. Tickets were around $150. a person to get in. This gave you unlimited bites and whatever you could find to sip. One of the problems of this food festival is getting in. Last time we attended we arrived 30 minutes early and had to wait maybe an hour and a half to get in. This year we arrived an hour early and that trimmed off thirty minutes of standing and waiting to get in. Another issue was the lack of water. This year I couldn't find water until I was three quarter done. This year I unfortunalty tripped on a trip hazard. They had a lot of wires wrapped with tape on the ground and I fell. My knee is still throbbing with pain. This year they also had a second floor with a good amount of steps to climb. After about an hour the crowd was massive. It was hard to go anywhere. But we are all here about the food. Some things this year really blew my mind and truly were amazing. A few plates I didn't care for. One plate was 1/2 very good but came with inedible steak I had to throw out. This year was not entirely but was very pork and shellfish heavy. If you don't eat that your selection was very limited. Parking was close and free.
