Pretty clean and decent equipment. Somewhat busy at peak times but to be expected given proximity to city center.

Visited here a few times as a guest of a member. This is a great gym for people who compete. When…read moreyou visit, you will mostly see & hear the bodybuilders. If you go downstairs, they have pictures of the legends & some of their locals who train at Club Fitness. There are "regular" work out people as well but, the professionals obviously stand out. The selection of equipment is abundant & everyone is friendly so don't be scared to ask if they're done with a machine. This gym also has a female only room, & other rooms that cater to a specific workout, such as abs, legs, etc. They also have a punching bag which is rare to find. The main floor is where you can find the cardio machines. These aren't the latest & greatest, but they get the job done. Make sure you have some headphones to keep you motivated. I haven't tried an aerobics session yet. I usually attend in the evenings. I can say the cycle class is popular. What bothers me about this gym is the amount of paper towel dispensers & how you obtain the sanitizer. The paper towels are hard to find & are scarce. The sanitizer, you need to grab a bottle from the front desk & basically keep it with you. On busy days, they aren't always visually available & you may have to ask someone to bower theirs. Also, people don't always return them to the desk, so you may have to search around the floor. Also, I suggest wiping down the machine or weights before using them. Some people jump between them, going back & forth & they don't wipe them down until they're completely done. So if you're not aware, you may use something in between their workout. Gotta be careful with covid. The mask situation is still in effect here. Wear it while walking around. The staff are very friendly if you're friendly to them. I haven't had any issues & the member I go with is constantly joking around with all the staff. They don't press you to become a member either, which is nice. Guests pay $10 & free on Fridays. The restrooms are always clean. I haven't used the showers, so can't comment too much, but they look clean. If I lived in the area or a Club Fitness near me, I'd join.

**spinning class review**…read more I came here Richard's spin class, and it was epic. I've taken a ton of spinning classes in CT and NYC, and Richard's was my favorite. His song selection and choreography (if that's the right word?) was totally on point. Even though I was exhausted after one song, I was so excited to find out what the next song and challenge would be. And somehow I managed to keep up the pace and enthusiasm throughout the hour long class, mainly because he had the energy and excitement to keep the full class going. The room itself was amazingly well ventilated despite not having any windows. The bikes were really comfortable and had a great seat. The bikes include clips as well as the ability to use sneakers. Walking through the gym before and after the class, I could tell quickly that Club Fitness focuses on weight training above cardio. There's plenty of cardio machines, but the way the gym was set-up lends itself more to a weight lifting crowd. While the equipment is packed, it does not feel too crowded. Gym includes a smoothie bar in the back as well as tanning rooms. If I wasn't already locked into a gym, I'd think about switching just for Richard's spinning classes.

Updated review; what I originally wrote is below. I've been…read moreworking for over a year with the trainers Jeff Roux and Sue Steinberg, and I can't praise them highly enough. They design my workouts very thoughtfully and make changes based on my physical situation when I come in. I am so much healthier, with excellent balance now and much more strength. It's worth it, totally. Original review: I've tried several gyms and absolutely love this one. It is attractive without being glitzy. It is kept very clean, and they take a lot of pride in keeping the equipment in good shape. Even as a flabby senior, I feel so comfortable there; there is no competition with other members. People are very friendly, and I've had nice conversations with other members. The trainers are wonderful and very knowledgeable. After two months, I feel like a million bucks. No matter what level of fitness you have, there is something there for you, from basic low-level Curves equipment (in its own room) to the high-caliber super-fit stuff. It's a very positive place.

They have several treadmills, barbells, weightlifting equipment and much more. They even offer personal training and almost 24 hour access to the gym. The only small thing is that the water fountain does not put out enough water to properly fill your bottle. And I don't drink Dasani which was offered from a vending machine. So bring your own water bottles in my opinion. Worth coming to get a nice workout with a large crowd.

The amenities are great, the gym is accessible, and the vibes aren't weird, unlike other gyms I've been to. They have great amenities, such as movie theater, a women's only work out section, private spaces for personal training and a ton of equipment. Perfect gym for someone who wants to get in and get out. In addition, they also have a station where they make shakes and have nutritional products available.

The staff is friendly but not knowledgeable on what a guest pass includes. I spoke to three different employees who told me three different things so that's been really confusing. They put together a sick playlist though, lol. The equipment is new to me and honestly I removed a star solely because of the hip adduction and abduction machines. The seats move while you're doing your reps and it's probably one of the worst things I've ever experienced. I watched the instructional video and all to make sure my form was correct and I still ended up messing up my back somehow. I do really like the post-workout shake bar, though. I tried the coffee and chocolate shake and it was pretty good. The gym and locker room are really clean. I love the section they have upstairs if you'd like a bit more privacy during your workout. All in all, while this gym is really nice and I think the amenities are beautiful, I don't feel it's worth signing up and being locked in for an entire year.
