Scrub Turkeys abound. This place is good any time of day but I like it in the middle of the day when no-one much is around. The Council planted lots of new trees about 8 years ago and they are going gangbusters. They can't seem to quite get the design of the bridges right for the creek crossings: not sure whcih iteration of self-disassembling railings we are up to now, but its always interesting to go down after a bit of a flood in the creek to see what has happened to them 'this time'. YAY for Banks Street Reserve. Good for everyone.

The park is quick and smooth and has a number of 4ft quarter pipes, transition and steep berms to do trick off. There are a few ledges that have been waxed up and are pretty fast. The centrepiece of the park is a 5ft kidney shaped bowl. There are a couple of gazebos around but the park is pretty bare of any shade. If you don't have any transport, make sure you pack a feed and some water as there is only one tap there and the closest shops are a good hike towards Chermside.

There's some awesome trails to walk, and the bike path takes advantage of the shade too along the very pretty Kedron Brook. It's a beautiful thing to see kids head off on their bikes with fishing rods in tow and this is not an uncommon sight in Grange Forest Park. Make sure you pay it a visit, your dog will thank you.

The Kedron Brook bike path runs through Bradshaw Park, giving cyclists a nice place to rest alongside the waterway.

There's also an off leash dog park with a shaded table & chairs for owners and a few little 'trick' installations for more flexible puppies. Unfortunately my dog is rather small but believes she's rather big so we tend to avoid it as I never know when she'll bark at a rottweiler for taking her ball. The Newmarket Olympic Pool is on the edge of the park, so it's a great family area all round.
