Walker's Plumbing is who you call when when you are in need of professional, efficient, and quality…read moreplumbing work done! Mike Walker is a lifesaver! I was moving into my home from the west coast, with the movers bringing hundreds of boxes into the home. There is a area in the corner of the garage where half inch pvc piping is protruding from the sheet rock for a future garage sink. A box was pushed up onto one of the pipes and it cracked off inside the wall. Water was pouring into the garage at a high rate. I was able to turn off the water to the home, but now, on moving day, we were left with the prospect of spending the night in a hotel since it was 3:30 pm, and we had no idea who to call, especially at this late time in the day. I starting cold calling area plumbers for help. 3 or 4 calls later, and either no answer, or a "we can get someone to you tomorrow sometime", I called Mike at Walker's Plumbing. He answered, he heard the desperation in my voice, and even though it was now 4 pm, and he was over an hour away, he tells me not to worry and he will make his way to me right away. A little over two hours later my cracked water pipe was perfectly repaired, and at a very reasonable cost. Mike has a wonderfully positive attitude. Before he left, he even set me up with a sheet rock repair person. A big THANK YOU to Mike at Walker's Plumbing. Count me as a devoted customer for future plumbing needs!

Michael in particular took the time to honestly evaluate a couple work items that ended up being unnecessary. Looking forward to working with Walker's Plumbing again for our next job.

July 23, 2025 Service Call:…read more I would like to thank Dylan and Ashton for a great service call. They unplugged our bathtub drain, secured the bathtub faucet, secured a loose drainpipe under the kitchen sink and repaired a loose outside faucet to the house. They were very professional, knowledgeable and efficient. The work took about an hour to complete. Didn't drag it out.

Any reader probably should not expect this every time, but my first indication that working with…read moreTyree would be great is that Stacie picked up the phone after hours when I made first contact with them. I had a small clog issue, but was just done dealing with one of their competitors on one of our properties. I have reviewed that plumber separately. I am not the average homeowner. I have rental properties across the state, but am a small operator. I only say that to help anyone reading this review to take it serious. As stated, Stacie answered promptly and spent a lot of time establishing a communicative relationship that assured me of their capabilities. It was a busy season for them, but she got us in the next day. She went through a general price list and partnered with me to know what to expect. I had been told that Tyree was expensive, but was the best. With that I was still expecting a big bill after their visit. The next day Luke and Brian arrived. They quickly cleared a clog that another plumber had tried to use to exorbitantly upsell me on a tear out job. They only charged the minimum and gave me pointers on keeping that section clear. I will say that this was a small job. I cannot rate them on a big project. Still, I know for a fact that even some of the large new work plumbers use Tyree for some complicated issues. For me, they did exactly what they said they would, and did it with the customer in mind. I will sing Tyree's praises and will not hesitate to call them again. OH!!! and they were NOT expensive at all. Cheap work on the other hand, especially where they try to upsell you, IS expensive. I feel like I could recommend Tyree to a customer with less construction experience than I, or to an older more trusting member of our community.

Recently undertook a custom master bath and bedroom remodel. Solicited various quotes from three…read morecontractors and they were all over the board on price and weren't really forthright with my questions. Every time I said I wanted to do something the price went up even though I was only reinforcing what I wanted before they even quoted. Guess they didn't understand the word custom. We wanted Contractors ideas and the wow factor but even though they all said they had designers no such effort came forth in the quote. Since I had to pick everything out myself and did all the legwork i decided to "be my own Contractor sourcing my own materials and SubContractors. I searched far and wide for materials and saved myself $15k. Next I had to locate subcontractors to do the work. I found "Straight-line Painting and Tile" who did tiling, painting, heated flooring, and carpentry work. Plumbing was "Faith Plumbing", Shower Glass install was "Toler insulating", and electrical was "Wired Up Electrical". and the Ambrosia Maple hardwood was sourced from Danny Hylton in Goode. I even sourced the exact tub new on Craigs list (NC) for $1,000 saving from a local quote. This group worked extremely well together to complete the project and saved me $10-$15,000 in contractor project management which i could than apply to more upgrades. On top of all this I installed a top of the line schluter heated floor, curbless shower, and lifetime warranty rubber sealed system which was critical for the Thermasol steam shower and digital control system with touch control shower valve system. All the other contractor wanted to put in a standard rubber shower stall unit and I wasn't confident it could handle the steam unit. Doing it myself covered the extra $5k to put in the a schluter system. Wiring included fixtures, wiring for all new electronics, heated floor, and new fan with UV 24/7 mold and bacteria killing system. Plumbing included Toto bidet toilet with heated seat, pre cleaning, auto flush, and carbon air purifier and the Thermasol steam and digital shower unit. Straight line tile is a Tile Installer Perfectionist". Toler glass shower installer said he has never seen such a level floor system. Within 1/16" which is unheard of. Straight-lines expertise was critical in helping me to schedule each of the subcontractors work to keep the project moving. I pretty much did all this work on a time and material basis knowing that errors would need to be corrected or that unexpected issues would need to be paid for. The other option would be hard quote with built in rework cost for unknowns that may not even happen. Doing the Project Management work myself saved me $10-$15k for unknown so I didn't have to cherry pick what the subcontractors were billing me. I found each of these contractors to be extremely fair and reasonable with their charges. Toler Insulating charged me 1/2 the quoted price on the 3/8 shower glass unit and install than what I could purchase the same unit for on the internet without installation. Wasn't expecting that Benny and definitely a place Contractors will use to beef up their quotes. I would highly recommend any of these subs to handle your custom bath remodel. The master bath is equally as impressive but I didn't have "before" pictures to show and it included heated floor units. Just thought I would share as my experience was great with these guys and we ultimately got the WOW factor we were looking for. The bottom line is I used some of the $25k saving to get the latest and greatest custom features and these sub contractors are experienced on how to install the latest and greatest systems.
