I've been to several acupuncturists over the years for health issues over the past 5 years, including a Chinese man trained in Chinese hospitals. I have experienced much relief and have been able to avoid brain surgery that had been considered by neurosurgeons at Mayo Clinic. I am very familiar with testing techniques and with treatments. I recently moved to TN so needed to find a new acupuncturist. Dove "Healing" was THE WORST experience I've ever had. Linda's diagnostic testing was very skimpy and she provided very few treatment points, but the biggest problem is that she left me with two injuries much like blood blisters -- a smaller one on my scalp that left blood on the pillow and a much larger one on my shoulder. When I pointed them out to her she said something dismissive like, "Oh, I go for several months without causing any of these, and then you get two of them." I told her I'd never had these before and she sort of apologized, but not so much. The blister part on my shoulder went down in a day, but I had a 2" x 2" bruise on my shoulder that took about 10 days to disappear. There was a painful lump in the middle of the bruise and I initially wondered whether she'd broken a needle off in my shoulder. She also pushed a variety of herbal treatments, even though she said her testing revealed that I didn't really need anything. She wanted me back within a few days but, of course, I did not return. VERY bad experience! I traveled back to Florida two months later to see my acupuncturist and he diagnosed the issues that needed to be addressed and got me back in balance in a short time.
