I've been there twice for keys to be cut and the keys have worked flawlessly. I would recommend them.

Be CERTAIN you ask what a service call costs before having them come to your house. For some reason, the costs are astronomical, which our tech explained was necessary because he was driving a "rolling locksmith shop." Not clear why such a vehicle should be any more costly to customers than any tow truck, painter's van, exterminator truck or sewer pump , but a non-emergency trip to our home for a pre-scheduled service call was $275. Labor and materials on top of that. An emergency call in December 2026 was north of $600. In neither case were we in a position to take the problem to their permanent location, short of removing the front door from the house. Also, be sure and nail down whether the work they perform has a warranty. We stupidly did not. read more

I had to pay an absurd ridiculous price $493 to unlock my house so I could get the keys and put a new deadbolt I tried to work with him to get them to come down the place and they said no they had to drive 23 miles to get to my house. read more

I called to see if I could get service to unlock the door to my garage. When I was quoted over $400 to come from Marion to Mount Vernon, I laughed in disbelief. The man on the phone went into hateful mode and asked, "Well how much did you think it would cost?!". I said, "well not that.". He then called me an asshole and hung up. I was in a major bind and needed a lock repaired within a couple days. I called Doug and he sent Jeremy to my house within a couple hours. Jeremy fixed the issue and had my lock working better than it did when I first installed it. They were both very professional and courteous on the phone and upfront about the cost without sliding in hidden charges at the end like so many companies do. Very rude and unintelligible on the phone. Even though they got good reviews but there's some bad reviews with the same problem with this service. The owner said he had worked with LockSmith for over 30 years , but one thing he didn't get from Locksmith is how professional they are. Doug was here when he promised, very complimentary and kind, and unlocked my door within 2 minutes of getting here. His price was a little high, but considering his 30 minute drive, I was ok with it. Contacted the business for service as the price was a little high, 50.00 to open a vehicle. Agreed the the price and was advised that he would be here in 15 minutes. During this time the vehicle was opened and contacted the operator and advised to cancel the call PRIOR to them making it. We won't be using this establishment any longer. I called there today to inquire about a product line they apparently no longer carry. The employee that answered my call suggested that I "go **** yourself, can you do that?" , then hung up. I was appalled. A simple "NO" would have been sufficient. read more
