Avoid this company/apartments at ALL costs…read more The apartment I'm at is filthy as they didn't bother cleaning out the vents or AC units or appliances. The floor is cheap and creaky and has tons of bugs coming out from the boards. A perk of the poorly done floors is you can hear each and every step your up stairs neighbor take. The water pressure is awful and the water is constantly either too cold or too hot. The water completely shut off in the apartment and it took the management 24hrs to even acknowledge it. (Took two days for it to be resolved). The hot water broke and it also took 24hrs for them to acknowledge it (it's still broken as I'm typing this). Good luck with any maintenance request. It's incredibly difficult and frustrating to even get a person on the phone. Much less get actual maintenance people in. We submitted a request for maintenance, didn't hear back for 1 month. Then, they no called no showed to the appointment. Didn't hear a thing until 2 months later where they randomly showed up after the problem had been resolved BY US. This company is the worst and I wouldn't recommend signing a lease with ANY of their locations. They truly don't care about anything but money. The apartments are total shit holes, even for $1,000-1,500 apartments.

When I challenged that respectfully, they were extremely rude and the answer they gave me was unethical. I canceled the deal and called my friend, the owner of Housing Quarters to see if they had anything available. They didn't but I told them what happened and it just turns out they were looking to hire. I work here now and we are consistently helping people that are trying to get away from people like that! We have integrity, do what we say, actually answer the phone and get back to you! We offer a similar rate than the competition, and blow away anything I've seen out there. We are are a one stop shop and do not have to contract out for our owners and landlords. We solve problems and allow our Owners to have their personal time multiplied. As far as our tenants, we take care of them and care about each call that comes in and they are handled in a timely fashion. Too good to be true? Call us for a free consultation or view one of our properties and see for yourself. We are armed with a 10 man in house construction and landscape crew and 4 full time office staff to help you with all your needs! 509-402-2777

My property was my home, my sanctuary, and the market was bad when I moved to the other side of the state, so I HAD to rent. They found me 2 wonderful tenants who cared for my lush landscape, and took wonderful care of my new carpet. My home looked the same when they moved out! They screened people thoroughly and I never had a late rent payment. Direct deposit even! Marissa was always prompt to return calls, if she didn't answer the phone herself. Stan, the owner took care of my property when a bad windstorm blew through and tore numerous shingles off my roof. There was another storm coming and he got my roof fixed THAT DAY to prevent any water damage that might have occurred. They care both about tenants, addressing their needs quickly, and the owners. I feel this at times could be a difficult balancing act, but they do it with ease. There are a lot of comments and negative reviews about Josh, but he was not there when I conducted my business with them. I feel this company was so outstanding I opened up a Yelp account just to post this review. So, in conclusion, if you want to rent a home, or rent your home, I wholeheartedly recommend them. I have now sold my home as of, so I am concluding my business with them.

I listed a house for rent with this company, and they "managed" it for several years. My experience…read morewith them was not good. I would recommend you go elsewhere. Here is a summary of my experience with them. I requested a renter without pets. But they said they were not able to find one, and talked me into renting to someone with dogs. The renter let their dogs pee on the carpet in every room in the house. The whole house smelled bad. All of the carpet and carpet padding had extensive pee stains. Before I was able to sell it I had to rip up all of the carpet, have the wood under the carpet painted with a special paint to get rid of the odor, and have all new carpet installed. In addition the renter at one point was apparently raising rabbits and keeping them in the garage (I learned of this after the house was on the market to sell). The rabbits sprayed urine not only on the floor but also on the walls of the garage. Even after getting rid of the all the pee soaked carpet and painting the floors, the garage reeked. Had to have it cleaned and painted floor and walls as well. The renter also lost keys to the front door of the house. So I had to have all the locks replaced. On top of that the renter turned off the water to the yard letting the lawn die just to avoid paying the water bill. Country Homes was being paid to manage the property, but they did nothing to prevent the renter from ruining the carpet throughout the house, soaking the garage in rabbit urine, and killing all of the lawn through neglect. To add to my problems with County Homes. After paying this company a percentage of the monthly rent (so they were supposedly working for me the property owner) this company was going to deduct only the cost of having a carpet cleaner come in to shampoo the carpets and then refund the rest of damage deposit to the renter. When I objected to refunding the damage deposit they had a courier deliver papers to my residence stating they were no longer going to represent me in any dealings with the renter which is exactly what they were getting paid every month to do. Even though I was the one paying them, it seemed like they working for the renter not me. To protect myself from what looked like could become a legal battle with the renter and Country Homes, I brought in an expert to examine the urine problem. They advised me there was nothing that could be done short of a total replacement of all of the carpet and treating the underlying wood. Beyond this there were problems with getting some fence repairs and other minor repairs handled in a timely manner. When the furnace failed in the rental house I found a less expensive, more efficient new furnace that would fit in the existing space without having to have a bunch of new duct work done. My impression was they did not like it when this meant they were getting cut out of their repair commission on an expensive furnace replacement. If you are thinking of signing up with them check your contract carefully. They deduct on a percentage for any repair work done from your monthly rent check. Their incentive is not to get the best, least expensive repair work done in your behalf. I absolutely would not recommend doing business with Country Homes. I did not find them to be an ethical company to work with.

All Star Property Management, owned by Ms. Gieve "G" Parker is THE WORST property management…read morecompany I've ever rented from, and no property owner should waste their money on this company. They refused to replace the water heater that provided enough hot water for a literal 3-minute shower. It turns out the heater was so old that 1 of the 2 tanks had stopped working and was full of sediment, and there was a mouse nest in the insulation! They did NOTHING about the mouse infestation that plagued/plagues the house I rented. It was so bad that I thought a male friend who did my yard work was urinating on my bathroom floor when he came over 2-3x a week. I couldn't descend the narrow stairs to the concrete slab cellar due to a broken foot. When my boyfriend finally went down there, he found mouse urine and feces EVERYWHERE and a nest in a plastic tub of camping gear that was ripped and shredded into mouse bedding. There was an incident just before labor day in which the water line backed up into the bathtub. It was late Friday afternoon, so I told "All Star" that it could wait until after the weekend. The water drained and I bleached the bathtub. And then it backed up again and again, every time I or the upstairs tenant showered or washed laundry. Over the weekend, my boyfriend realized it was RAW SEWAGE BACKING UP INTO THE BATHTUB!!! "All Star" never called me back, and I left multiple messages for "G" that were not returned. I started a new job, and on my first day I received 2 horrible voicemails from "G" in which she screamed at me because my boyfriend, who did not live there, had called her twice to firmly demand that she get a repairman to deal with the issue IMMEDIATELY as IT HAD BEEN TWO WEEKS SINCE MY INITIAL REPAIR REQUEST and to not contact me as is was my first day at my new job. There was an incident, maybe a month after the raw sewage problem, in which the ceiling above the laundry closet began dripping and eventually raining down water. The upstairs tenant's water drainage from their laundry and kitchen had clogged with lint and corroded away the extremely old plumbing line. Again, I was at work when this happened but boyfriend stopped in to eat lunch and heard a dripping noise that led to discovery of the saturated sheetrock and wooden ceiling, and immediately began ripping them out to allow the water to rain down into a big plastic bin. It took "All Star" 2 days to assess the damage and another 2 weeks to dry it out and re-sheetrock and paint. The contractor refused to re-hang the fluorescent light fixture because it was not on their work order, and the light has still not been re-hung, 2.5 years later. But the most insane issue I've heard of with "All Start" Property Management was printed in the newspaper. Ms. "G" and one of her property owners (was at the time was in prison for drugging and raping one of his tenants) were discovered to have FRAUDULENTLY CLAIMED COVID RENTAL RELIEF FUNDS!!! (The house I was renting was not one of these involved in the fraud case.) https://www.kxly.com/news/spokane-property-management-company-accused-of-fraud-in-covid-19-rent-assistance-program/article_7d130a56-989f-11ee-8ce9-3b7774a30cf6.html https://www.justice.gov/usao-edwa/pr/spokane-property-management-company-agrees-pay-more-300000-fraudulently-claiming

"IF" you are fortunate enough for Maria take or return your phone calls, you will be met with disdain and impatience, as she makes you feel like you are intruding on her time. She never stepped foot into my property until the bitter end when it was too late, and tens of thousands of dollars in tenant damage had already been done. Then she had the gall to insist the ridiculous amount of damage was "normal wear and tear" (normal wear and tear does not cost $40K and 2 months to fix). M-T also did not take any move-in pictures, which I consider malpractice in this profession. She did not look out for our best interests and consistently appeared to be pro-tenant. The cherry on top was M-T's slow walking the transfer of docs, reports, photos, accounting, keys and overall responsibility to our new property manager. If you want someone to just collect your rent and to treat you like you're an imposition, Maria is your go-to person. Otherwise, I believe property owners should run from this company and go elsewhere...you should expect better than having to deal with someone with a chip on their shoulder who doesn't even perform their most basic responsibilities.
