I called to make a new patient appointment and was set for an appointment in about a week. However, after discussing the problem I was coming in for with the front office person, the person suggested I come in the next day. She considered the underlying health risks and the current situation knew it would be more detrimental to wait. Upon arriving to the appointment the next day, the staff were kind and respectful. They were efficient, friendly demeanors and all wearing smiles at 8:15 in the morning. Dr. Rockett himself was very professional and straightforward. He was very informative of what was going on, how the treatment would go, and what precautions I needed to take. I was very happy with the treatment plan and his bedside manner. It was extremely refreshing to experience a medical office that still knows how to make their patients feel comfortable and know that they will receive the best care possible from everyone in the office.

I was out the door in less than an hour and able to go right back to work. If you are looking for a great, trustworthy, friendly, professional podiatrist Dr. Rockett is who to go to! Texas Gulf Coast Foot and Ankle is the podiatry medicine department of the larger Texas Gulf Coast Medical Group. I am a patient of Dr. Giacomuzzi (Dr. G for short). Dr. G has been a practicing Podiatrist since 1988. He was originally with MacGregor Medical Group when I first became his patient. For those who have been in Houston a long time, you'll recall that MacGregor was a 12-clinic system associated with The Methodist Hospital System (similar to how Kelsey-Seybold is with St. Luke's) that closed in 2002. Dr. G has seem me and my immediate family for various foot ailments, multiple avulsion fractures, custom orthotics, and surgeries to remove foreign objects from our feet. Dr. G is very personable and provides excellent care. I have personally referred many people to him over the years and now I am referring him to you. In my opinion, you can always tell what type of person a physician is based upon the amount of turnover you see with his staff. Dr. G and Dr. Briggs have had the same basic staff for years with very little turnover. To me, that speaks volumes about the docs. Appointment Tip: You can call Texas Gulf Coast Medical Group to schedule an appointment but I have found it easier to call the Podiatry Department directly and speak to Jennifer. The direct line is 281-724-0368. You can fill out your new patient paperwork online before you get there to save some time. Bottom line: Dr G and his staff are excellent. He provides excellent care for your podiatry needs. As a patient for 20+ years, I highly recommend him.

Then I went to an orthopedic, who didn't understand what was going on and then gave me exercises that made it even worse. Dr. Cardona was immediately different. She really understood what was going on and had me do some movements and she moved my ankle. Then she had a good idea what was going on and verified in the MRI. The entire process was very comforting that we had a path forward. I was originally scared about surgery and recovery, but Dr. Cardona made me feel secure. The surgery went great even though there was more damage than we thought. Recovery went well and I've been very happy with the ligament repair since. I may continue to go to the office for the special orthopedic inserts since they also made a difference even before the surgery.
