This review is for the staff and assistants of this doctor:…read more Hubby called for an appointment and finally got scheduled for a Wednesday. He gets a call a week before asking him to bring his medical records. He has a whole stack and so he asked what exactly they need. They won't say so he says he'll walk in so they can look. Monday comes and he walks in and front desk girl said a nurse has to look at it and that he needs to wait 20 mins. 45 mins passed and no one called him back. So, he goes to the front desk, no one was there, and a sign says "lunch break". Not only is this an a-hole move but also extremely UNPROFESSIONAL. So, hubby tried calling and finally another girl comes over. So he has to retell everything he just told the other clueless employee. This is girl then tells him that they're not even going to see him because he should go back to his surgeon (out of state) despite the fact that they had already scheduled him and requested for his medical records. And he's not feeling well and needed to be seen asap. She proceeded to cancel his Wednesday appointment anyway and pretty much just told him good luck. This is how far this "health care" has fallen in this country. These ZERO concern for health or care.

I came to HTX Urology for a prostate exam. I paid via an app and they took me in. A month later I…read morereceived a bill for the exam and the amount was $520 which was twice with what i paid. I called the office and they told me I did not paid. I said that was funny because how could you provided a service without any form of payment. They has no answer for that. I think this office was not honest in billing and tried to cheat their way to cash in anything they can.

Office staff was nice and helpful and I didn't have to wait after my appointment time. My issue was taken seriously and Dr. Green took the time to talk to me and understand, unlike some doctors! He offered me a solution that has resolved my problems and was kind enough to call the following day and make sure I was okay. I would recommend this office to anyone who has urology needs and wants to be taken seriously and seen quickly!

1 - Absolute disaster of an office…read more I walked out without being seen because this place scheduled three patients for the same doctor within a 30-minute window. The waiting room was packed and clearly running way behind. Staff was rude, unhelpful, and acted like chaos was normal. No apologies, no explanation, just attitude. If you enjoy wasting your time and being treated like an inconvenience, this is your place. Otherwise, save yourself the frustration and go literally anywhere else. Dr Dafashy, take some pride in your profession. I hope these reviews are a wake up call for how poorly this business is ran.

Hackney is an amazing and very talented urologist. However I believe he is so good at what he does…read morethat he sometimes does not listen or care to actually hear his patients out 100%.. his office staff is nice however if you have anything done by him you better ensure he sends you the correct medication amount from the get go or you will not be able to get anything else. He prescribes what he thinks is enough or what his partners or insurance or whoever and however that's works tells him too, and that's it. Kidney Stone, stent, blood, spasms, and a 33 year old pipeline oil and gas career worker do not mix well. I am not saying anything bad other than my honest opinion, when my first stent was put it because I had a huge stone lodged in my urether I literally begged for more pain medication and never ever received any, kept getting the run around. We all know the stigma behind narcotics being prescribed but this is not something that isn't painful whatsoever- I suffered for almost a month before I was able to have my stone taken out (yesterday 10-23) thank god. Dr. Hackney you are a badass dr, I would just hope you would listen to you patients a bit more, to me being a younger adult I feel like your majority of patients are older seniors and you've gotten used to that and lost touch with the younger crowds because the seniors don't necessarily ask questions. Most of them are retired and probably stay at home or just live a very slow paced life. I do not, I am at my peak and have a huge pain tolerance, so for me to be begging to have medication to help me and some guidance is not something that's normal. His staff is nice and very helpful, at the end of the day he decides if he's going to send medication refills or not it's not up to them. I simply wanted to write my review and I hope he's able to see it, will probably not change his mind or his ways or perhaps it will. Guess we will wait to find out, once again he's a very good urologist- however I feel the program is cookie cutter in and out maximize the patient load for the $.. my honest two cents. The good and the bad have been mentioned.. just my honest and sincere opinion take it as it is.

I've recently had a few visits here for treatment of kidney stones. Not something I've ever had to…read morehandle before, nor would I wish them on anyone else!!! There are several Doctors here and the Emergency Room Doctor recommended Dr. Waggenheim, however due to conflicting schedules he wasn't available and Dr. Than Nguyen was. (Pronounced Wynn) I was very impressed with Dr. Nguyen and with his knowledge and professionalism. Very straight forward and well versed. Before your appoinment they will set you up for X-rays, or MRI's before your office visit and the doctor will go over these with you. You will need to bring your MRI images with you on CD from wherever they have you do them, so just be aware of that, and also any X-ray film too! Dr. Nguyen's staff set me up with an appointment for a surgical procedure to remove, or breakup the stones at the Houston Physician's Hospital. They use several Hospitals to do Outpatient surgeries in the Bay area. The others are the new Bay Area Regional Hospital, and also Southeast Memorial off of Beamer and Dixie Farm Road on Astoria Street. All of the doctors here are highly qualified and all are very good. They treat all kinds of Urological disorders and issues. I highly recommend them.

I've been trying to speak with someone for a week and I grow more frustrated every time I leave a message. 1. The automated answering system is atrocious. It must be designed with the goal of discouraging patients to call in because there is no option to speak with a live person,....ever. The system is not intuitive at all and you have to "luck out" to find the correct combination of options to select to be able to leave a nurse a message. The answering service is typically misaligned with "lunch hours". I've made numerous calls well into the afternoon only to hear the office is closed for lunch or what not. You are at the mercy of the staff to contact you. I'm not sure how any patient gets quality treatment from the office. If you don't have an extension, you won't speak to anyone directly. 2. Nurses are terrible a follow up and execution. These series of event happened over the course of a week. I called on two separate occasions leaving messages for someone to contact me due to complications with the medication I was prescribed. The nurse finally returned my call, we had a good discussion of the issue I was having, she proposed a new medication to prescribe me, I communicated my pharmacy and I left the call with the impression that the script would be called in that afternoon. Three days later, still no prescription has been called in. I have left messages for three consecutive days asking for an update or explanation as to what's going on and still no response. My last resort it to visit the clinic this afternoon and attempt a face to face meeting. Per their website, "We endeavor to provide all patients with the highest standard of urologic care in a manner that we would expect our own loved ones to be treated." Apparently this is a feel good statement that some corporate executive penned making you believe that they care about you. What a crock of crap!!!!! Avoid this place at all cost. Drive further if needed. This place is a dumpster fire of mismanagement. Update: 7/27/18 @ 15:15: Called at 3:00p and the answering service states the "office is closed". Business hours are advertised as 9a - 5p.
