After my regular dentist (not this place!) referred me to an oral surgeon (for wisdom teeth…read moreextraction) that didn't have any reviews, I started looking for practices on my own. I came across this one here on Yelp, and I am SO happy that I did. The dentists here referred me to Dr. Pasternak, their oral surgeon. I hate having my teeth messed with and I'm already anxious just going to the dentist for cleanings. Needless to say, I was so nervous about the procedure and possible complications, but she did an amazing job of explaining everything to me and making me feel safe. Some of my wisdom teeth were impacted, so the procedure required more work and was done under anesthesia (by my request, I wanted to be out of it). Everything went exceedingly well, I had no pain during recovery, and the incisions/holes healed with ZERO complications. Two years later I still think back on the experience and how grateful I am to Dr. Suzanne Pasternak for the skill and care she provided. I figured I should write a review since I still feel so strongly. The office staff were amazing too and were very helpful during all of my pre-procedure visits. I highly recommend this place for everything dental-related. I would make it my regular dentist's office if I didn't live so far!

Now that its great expressions some of that has changed, but I keep coming here because they kept some of the same hygienists that made the dentist office great. I only come here for those few trusted hygienists and as long as they stay there I will stay there. I can truly recommend them from my many years of personal experience and my family's personal experience.

I waited an hour in the dental char for a quick exam and told to make another appointment for today. I got to my appointment 17 minutes late as I had to work in Detroit and got stuck in a 30 minute traffic delay. I was told I was 2 minutes outside of their 15 minute grace period and would have to come back. I explained the chipped tooth was causing an abscess on my tongue and that the chipped tooth could also quickly turn into a cavitynor worse. I also explained I could not come back for four days as I was leaving in the morning for a work trip. I was told, sorry it's policy. I spoke to the manager and was told the same thing. I am absolutely furious. I changed dentists as soon as I got back in my car. I was on the verge of tears. I am livid about this experience! Not acceptable!

I do not do well with dentists. Never have. I have extreme dental anxiety. My last dentist who I…read morereally liked and trusted retired recently - good for him! But it left me scrambling to find someone new. I asked in a local Facebook group and got recommended to check out here. When I called to go through the insurance check and book an appointment, the scheduler was super helpful and friendly. I had to wait ~2-3 months but I didn't mind. They offered me waitlist spot in case of any cancellations. It never happened, but I do like that it's an option. I finally went, super wary of a new place and a new dentist. Immediately everyone was so friendly it put my anxious self at ease a bit. The hygienist was super sweet and very understanding. Made sure to keep me comfortable. I had cracks on the side of my mouth from overly dry skin and she was so sweet in making sure she was careful not to split them open and make them bleed. She listened to me and made me feel heard. The dentist himself was only in for a bit as I was just there for xrays and a cleaning. I had no issues, so we didn't interact much. But I have nothing bad to say about him either. This is definitely my new dentist for the long term.

All three hygienists I have seen there have been very gentle and careful. My teeth do not hurt at all after cleaning or other procedures. They do just fine with a nervous nellie like me and yet still manage to remove any necessary plaque or other grossness and make my teeth all fresh and pretty. Prior to this I had a dentist who filled the wrong tooth and I ended up not going for awhile after. Dr Berman is careful and using him I have not had any further problems with my teeth, no fillings, nada. I really trust him which I needed after my prior bad experience. I have moved from my hometown but even with it less convenient for me, I am willing to make the drive.

Guess who just called me? At roughly 9:45 pm I received a phone call from my dentist, whom called…read moreto check up on how I was feeling, and how the medication he prescribed was treating me. Let me ask.. When was the last time your doctor/dentist ever called you back, let alone when was the last time they voluntarily called you to make sure you were alright? *insert sound of crickets here* Right!? About two weeks ago my mouth was hurting so bad of and on that it was interfering with two of my favorites pastimes - talking, and eating! All kidding aside, I was pretty damn miserable and decided that enough was enough. Since I did not yet have a dentist on this side of the world, it was time to whip out my phone and do some Yelping. I did not have to search for too long, and decided to give Robison Dental a call. I spoke with Mia on the phone whom was attentive and patient, listening to my woes and helping me schedule an emergency appointment. I have never been one to fear a visit to the dentist. Matter of fact, I loved going to my dentist and adored the guy for the positive feedback I'd receive at each visit. I have never experienced dental problems, dental pain, or pain at this level in general. So at this point I was getting a little scared, to tell you the truth. I figured whatever was going on in my tooth, surely could not be positive if it made me want to yank it out and be done with it alltogether. Whatever treatment was lying ahead could not possibly be worry- and painfree. Walking into the clinic I was impressed by the small details in the waiting area. Comfortable sofas and chairs took place instead of ugly, uncomfortable seating often found in other places. Beautiful books filled the tables, instead of weekly tabloids. I noticed a mini fridge which did not only have V8 and bottled water in it, but also served my favorite San Pellegrino water. I'm not gonna lie, this added a little checkmark in the 'positive' section on my mental scorecard (because I am lame like that, and I clearly have my priorities 'straight'). I brought my uber critical and hygiene minded husband along for emotional support; and he mentioned how nice and clean this office was when it came time to move to the back. Paula was waiting for me, pillow in hand (me likey!). She helped me out with some x-rays that needed to be taken, and stayed throughout the procedure which was to follow. She made me feel very calm and at ease throughout the 2 hours that I ended up spending in her presence. Dr JD was extremely nice and pleasant to talk to. He explained everything very well, and somehow managed to bring the news that I needed a rootcanal without me bursting out in tears or massive shakes. I did regress back to 5 year old me, going back to the inquisitive 'how' and 'but why' state. Dr JD whipped out his little tooth schematic, and had me trusting in him very quickly. I actually kinda felt like "OK - let's do this"! At the beginning and throughout the procedure he did everything possible to make sure that I was comfortable, taking his time numbing half my face to ensure there would be no discomfort whatsoever. You could have thrown a baseball anywhere on the right side of my face, and I bet I would not have known the difference. This whole numbing business was new for me, as where I am from cavities are filled without gas or shots. My husband calls this barbaric, I just like to call him a wusspuss. Either way, I was very apprehensive and concerned about both gas and the numbing shots, but Dr JD and Paula once again made me feel at complete ease. In case you were wondering, Robison Dental Group has a bunch of different payment options available. Whatever your situation may be, it is clear that this office puts their patients' needs first. Mad props to Dr JD for dealing with my neurotic questions, making me feel comfortable and at ease during my visit - and of course for fixing my chopper(s)! Also plenty of kudos to Paula, she is a sweetheart and super pleasant to spend a few hours of unflattering 'agony' with. Also a quick shout-out to whomever picked the amazing playlist consisting of John Mayer-esque tunes..thanks! I have told a couple of people so far that my dentist is boss, and I will continue to spread the word to whomever wants to listen. Dr JD & Robison Dental for the win!
