We stayed here in July of 2026 on our way to the Tetons in a Camping Cabin. When we arrived it was 103° and unfortunately our A/C unit wasn't working, after moving into another cabin and having the same problem they upgraded us into their airstream, zero charge to us and resolved the issue. 4 days later on our way back home we had booked the exact cabin we stayed in on our way to the Tetons. In such a short time they had already swapped in brand new units into every cabin. Their customer service here has been the best we've experienced at any KOA. It is clean, modern and updated, they have wonderful amenities (the pool especially!), and the list goes on! Personally we would like to thank Jeff, and Dana and all of the staff here for going above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our stay! From the Sign, pool and grounds keeping has some up keeping to do. I would think Koa's have certain standards.... bathrooms are clean tho. Pool was closed in June and closes at7pm. When it's 100* kids need a pool.. so do adults. Expensive for what you get.. read more

We stayed at this KOA as it is very convenient to Deadwood and the surrounding cities and attractions (Mount Rushmore, Custer, etc). Sites were clean and well maintained. While we weren't there for it, there is very little cell signal and forget WiFi. Staff was friendly but unavailable after 6pm. The showers and bathrooms were in disrepair (with signage indicating that stalls and showers were closed for renovation). The kids loved the slope for bike riding. We did not use any other amenity available. read more

Stayed one night at this KOA. We thought it was a nice stop. We hardly ever stay at koa's so we don't have a koa membership. The one night was very expensive, but as I mentioned before we are not koa members. So my overall review is that it is clean and several features most campers are looking for. We just needed a safe place to sleep that offered electricity so we could take showers. read more

Unfortunately, on the day of our reservation we had to cancel due to truck issues. We were 9 hours away and there was no way we would make it before midnight. We called to cancel and were pleasantly surprised that they refunded our nightly rate, minus the mandatory $10 fee. This was a very pleasant surprise due the extensive issues we were having. We appreciate this location looking at our individual circumstances and not just blindly sticking with the 48 hour cancellation policy. Thank you for your understanding. read more

The KOA is a great stop and we'll kept up. The facility has an elderly couple that work their tails of day in and day out doing maintenance work. I don't know of they are the owners, but they are loyal to their work. We had a wonderful time! I highly recommend this place. read more

The cleanliness of the campground has waned greatly. They got rid of the individual site trash cans and now have only two dumpsters on the opposite ends of the campground. They have gotten so cheap that they now only give a xeroxed copy of the campground map when you come into the campground. They do not maintain the campground as it was under previous owners. They seem to orient on the long term resident campers in the southern/south eastern part of the campground rather than the non-resident short-termers. read more

This is a 'parking lot' style campground. You're literally parked in rows with a tiny patch of grass between each parking space. You have to request a fire pit if you want one. They also closed the pool early (7:50 instead of 9) on the day we were here for no apparent reason, except possibly that the person who needed to close the pool was off work at that time. The one positive was that the staff was friendly. read more

I was pleasantly surprised with the Douglas KOA. When trying to make plans in this area, most of the people in this neck of woods don't do too well at the internet and certainly seemed to be lacking the friendly attitude that I was, for some reason, expecting. The KOA absolutely broke my losing streak and they were more than friendly when making reservations, accommodated our pets with no trouble, and were genuinely helpful when we arrived. We stayed in one of the two log cabins which was beautiful inside and out, and the grounds were very well kept. The pool was just right and I played a little mini golf for fun. The location is just outside of town and it's pleasantly quiet. Definitely a good KOA, and when compared with the rest of your options out here it's an absolute smash. read more

I agree with the others, this KOA was extremely nice. The tent spots has a privacy walls between them. That's the first time I have seen a KOA take the time and effort for tent spots. Well done! The camp has a nice gift shop. The staff was friendly. You can tell that the owners / employees really take pride in their camp. This was also once of the less expensive KOA we found. My kids loved the fact that they had good internet access here. The only thing that would make this camp perfect for tent camping is if they had bathrooms closer for the tent spots and had more accessible water. But everything else this camp has to offer makes those issues very small. read more

Very friendly staff. Nice large, pull through sites to accommodate our 37 foot travel trailer. Very clean and nice bathrooms and showers. Nice little store. We were kind of here in the off-season but lots of great amenities if you were here for the summer. Would recommend and gladly stay here again. Only a couple of miles from grocery stores like Safeway and lots of fast food and other restaurants. read more

This place is amazing. Got a tent site & was treated like a king. Very clean sites (rich green grass for the tent sites) very clean picnic benches, very clean toilets, showers, HEATED outdoor pool, friendly staff. Tent sites are near the access road, but that is a small price to face the farm with horses across the street & the view further on of the mountains. No jackalopes (Douglas, WY fame), but a few rabbits. read more

Great KOA. I find most KOAs woefully lacking. Not this one. Friendly staff, l utilities worked well, bathrooms and showers were clean and well-equipped, great little store. We had a level, graveled pull through space for our Casita trailer. TV was nice so we could catch the American idol final--$2 extra. Quiet and off the main highway. read more

We stopped here on our drive through Wyoming heading back home to California. We had no plan on where we were going to stop for the night and looked up RV camps. Decided to camp here due to the positive reviews on Yelp. So glad we did. Super clean, friendly staff, and it was nice and quiet. We've been to a few KOAs which have always been decent but we thought this was one of the best we've been to. Laundry and bathrooms were nice and clean. They have putt-putt golf for only $2 per person and a nice pool area. Also had a great playground for the kids. We lucked out and was able to grab one of their last spots that accommodated our 32ft RV with towed Jeep. Mackenzie and Ashley were both so friendly and you can tell they really care about the quality of their campground. Highly recommend this place! read more

The owners are super nice people who can be found around the park often. They spend a bit of time getting to know their campers. There is a large playground area with several pieces of equipment. There is a nice horseshoe pit area. There are a few nice wooden swings where you can relax. The pool is nice and clean. The mini golf course is fun and challenging. There is a gazebo in the pool area so you can get in the shade if you need to. There is a specialty coffee shop next to the office. There is a yurt where they do movies and other activities. We went to a painting party there as well as one of the movies. It's air conditioned, so it's quite comfortable. There is an open air wooden structure called "S'moreville" where they do breakfasts, dinners, and s'mores. On the 4th of July, they did several craft activities in the afternoon, including a tie dye shirt and streamers. There was no charge for the holiday crafts. There are wooden enclosures every couple of sites all over the park for the campers to put their garbage in, and is picked up every morning. Each site has its own little raised bed of grass and a picnic table. Very comfortable and excellent value for the cost! read more

Very nice and peaceful KOA. A few miles from freeway on a narrow two lane road. Park is very pretty, with green grass, scattered trees, enclosed dog run so you can let your dogs run after a long day of traveling, horse field, cable, wifi, small store. My only complaint would be our spot was narrow and a bit hard to get into (we have a 35' fifth wheel). read more

We stayed at the Douglas KOA for 2 days to watch the solar eclipse. The owners were so wonderful. They did not change their rates and were well prepared and organized in dealing with the increased numbers of people for the event. The showers and rest rooms were kept clean. Their camp store is well provisioned. Everyone working at this facility was pleasant and helpful. We highly recommend this facility!! read more
