I went thru the worst dental experience I've EVER had in my entire life last winter and finally get the bill from them and they want the full price of treatment and refuse to budge on the price. The full story is that my front tooth broke in half last November. I went to see Dr. Snyder and since it was still attached, he glued it back together. That charge was $275. He said it would last 6 months to 6 years but would eventually need a dental implant. 3 days later not even while I was eating or biting down or anything, simply shutting my mouth while driving, my tooth broke apart again. I went back in and he decided to do a crown. I was fitted for a crown but while the mold was being taken, his assistant messed up and he had to make a second mold. A temporary crown was put on and I was sent on my way. A few days later, the crown falls off. I go back in and he reattached it. I go back for my permanent crown after the 2 weeks and it doesn't fit right! He makes yet another mold, fits the new "permanent" now temporary crown on and sends me on my way. I leave and within hours, it falls off. I go back the same day and have it put back on. I leave in tears at how how sore and bloody my mouth was from being poked and prodded twice in one day. I had swollen, bloody gums for days. Oh and as I left that day for the second time, Dr. Snyder gave me packets of cement to glue it back in myself should it come out again! Seriously?! I was shocked and when I shared my story with other people who work in the dental labs as well as anyone else who has ever had a crown, they were all appalled that I went thru that. Finally the new crown came in and it has stayed in. I seriously worry about it on a DAILY basis and have fears of it falling off my front tooth every single day due to the ordeal I went thru with them. Now they are finally sending me a bill for all of their services with no discounts or deductions and when I reached out to them, sorry Charlie was all I got. I've kept my mouth shut about my horrible experience thus far but now I'm at my breaking point. Moral of the story is do NOT go to Dr. Snyder in Elkhart. I wish I had a story to share of an awesome experience because I know there are some awesome dentists out there. He was nice with my son for a regular cleaning before this whole ordeal so maybe he should stick to basic procedures and recommend seeing a specialist for more difficult ones. read more
