I'll describe the rest of my experience and the reason for the one star rating. I had been with State Farm for probably 20 years but they kept getting worse and worse and I finally decided to make a change. Geoff Linder was recommended to me and he placed me with Erie. I had two claims with Erie, one with an uninsured motorist who caused an accident and then fled the scene when my wife was driving. The other was where my wife scratched the car on our mailbox lid. Erie was great to work with and let me take my car where I wanted to get it repaired. A couple of months ago, I got a call from Rachael saying the agency had decided not to carry Erie any longer. I told her that I really liked Erie and would probably like to stay with Erie but of course I'd be glad to consider a quote from Linder. I contacted Mark Peacock, who is an independent agent who carries Erie for a quote. Mark told me that Erie considered to policy as belonging to the agent not the insured and that I would have to get Geoff Linder to transfer the policy to carry my discounts and my rate lock over. I didn't think that would be a problem since Linder had decided not to carry Erie any longer per Rachael. Geoff and I talked and he refused to transfer the policy. He also told me that Erie had canceled all of their policies, which was true I'm sure, but I thought kind of a deceptive way to put it. I'm sure Erie did cancel all their policies after Linder decided not to carry them any longer. At any rate Erie has agreed to write my policy through Peacock when my policy through Linder ends so it's obvious that they didn't make a blanket decision to cancel all the policies for something the insured did. It's going to cost me money though ONLY because Linder wouldn't transfer my policy. So, I'm being penalized for a decision Linder agency made. Mark Peacock limited the damage a little bit by making a few smart moves, such as pointing out that I only needed rental car coverage on our road trip car since I have 4 cars anyway. He also did a nice job of explaining my coverage to me, which I never really got from Linder.

I truly feel that they're PREDJUDICE Because of the way I was treated especially the way my rude insensitive adjuster, Tyler Blanko treated me. I had to keep calling him for updates on my claim and whenever I did, he talked to me like I wasn't shit! Very unprofessiona! Not to mention he had me go through this extensive investigation including and examination under oath, had me gathering all of this unnecessary documentation only to DENY my claim for some bullshit ass reason. That had nothing to do with my actual claim nor investigation. Then they CANCELED my auto insurance for NO AT FAUGHT CLAIMS! I had insurance with this bullshit ass company since 2013. Went several years without having to file a claim but the minute I needed them and had to file claims they CANCELED me! I've never felt so humiliated and used in my entire life! Whats the purpose of having insurance and when we need it or need to file a claim especially a NO FAUGHT CLAIM, YOU CANCEL MY COVERAGE! Not only dLes this inconvenience you as a consumer it causes you to get higher quotes/ rates with other insurance companies! They even canceled my rental insurance policy for no reason at all! I'm going to fight them to the highest degree! I haven't had the time or the mindset to fight nobody with all that I have been going thru over this past couple of years, however today is the day! I also expressed that to them as well! If I could give them a NO STAR, I WOULD! This Insursince Company don't deserve a 1 STAR! Lastly, they will DENY YOUR CLAIM, without giving you a reasonable explanation as to why they denied your claim! I REPEAT DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS HORRIBLE, INSENSITIVE & UNPROFESSIONAL INSURANCE COMPANY! Because they're prejudice and the minute you file any claims with them whether It's your fought or not your fought THEY WILL DENY YOUR CLAIM AND CANCEL YOUR POLICY/POLICIES FOR NO REASON AT ALL!!!!
