Not only that but you won't find a team better than this one in Memphis! Last weekend our brand new car was broken into... we had 2 windows busted out and the back seat damaged. The frustration that comes with being the victim of a robbery/break-in is beyond words. We worked so hard to buy a new vehicle just to have someone selfishly destroy it for little to no gain for them. The morning after it happened, I seriously felt NO sense of security. Calling State Farm (specifically talking to Wendy) was the BEST thing that happened to us all week. She took care of the claim immediately without me lifting a finger, and TRULY CARED about us. Not only that but she went above and beyond by doing research for me even after the filing the claim. My wallet was stolen in the incident, and that meant no drivers license to get a rental car. Wendy was able to get me approved for Uber reimbursement while the car is being repaired (which I didn't even ask for but she found that as a solution anyway)! I went with Linder somewhere around 4 years ago and recently changed. First of all, the comments…read moreabout Rachael are true. She's great. I'll describe the rest of my experience and the reason for the one star rating. I had been with State Farm for probably 20 years but they kept getting worse and worse and I finally decided to make a change. Geoff Linder was recommended to me and he placed me with Erie. I had two claims with Erie, one with an uninsured motorist who caused an accident and then fled the scene when my wife was driving. The other was where my wife scratched the car on our mailbox lid. Erie was great to work with and let me take my car where I wanted to get it repaired. A couple of months ago, I got a call from Rachael saying the agency had decided not to carry Erie any longer. I told her that I really liked Erie and would probably like to stay with Erie but of course I'd be glad to consider a quote from Linder. I contacted Mark Peacock, who is an independent agent who carries Erie for a quote. Mark told me that Erie considered to policy as belonging to the agent not the insured and that I would have to get Geoff Linder to transfer the policy to carry my discounts and my rate lock over. I didn't think that would be a problem since Linder had decided not to carry Erie any longer per Rachael. Geoff and I talked and he refused to transfer the policy. He also told me that Erie had canceled all of their policies, which was true I'm sure, but I thought kind of a deceptive way to put it. I'm sure Erie did cancel all their policies after Linder decided not to carry them any longer. At any rate Erie has agreed to write my policy through Peacock when my policy through Linder ends so it's obvious that they didn't make a blanket decision to cancel all the policies for something the insured did. It's going to cost me money though ONLY because Linder wouldn't transfer my policy. So, I'm being penalized for a decision Linder agency made. Mark Peacock limited the damage a little bit by making a few smart moves, such as pointing out that I only needed rental car coverage on our road trip car since I have 4 cars anyway. He also did a nice job of explaining my coverage to me, which I never really got from Linder.

There was that one time my checking got hacked and I bounced a check for $31.00 without knowing. The check was stolen out of a mailbox outside a post office, bleached, and rewritten for like $6k. It posted on 12-24, what a joy. They wanted $35.00 more as a fee for that check bouncing. They also told me I had to go to Hernando in order to get the fee waived. I argued, threw a little hissy fit, refused to pay the fee, and laughed at them because I already had the sticker and updated registration. They charge a fee to use a card, even a debit card (illegal btw) so that is why I write checks. I fully expected my kid to trade that car or for it to die, but what do you know, her husband drives it back and forth to work to reduce miles on his truck and it gets better gas mileage. So guess who payed all of the fines and bounced check fees??? Yep. Me. They also set me another nasty letter by certified mail. Can't catch me!! HA! Yes you can. It's not that hard. I am here 6 times a year at least with just the current vehicle line up. I really hope we can start doing this shit on the internet. We need some evolution here Mississippi!! Oh. One gripe.
