I nearly went for a Thai noodle place, simply because it wasn't the norm... at which point I saw Cafe D'or. Lebanese food done well is simply brilliant! For my lunch I chose the lamb shawarma grilled with onions, capsicum and mushrooms, served on a bed of rice and a side of fatoush (pic - http://frid.co/u7uHfz ). While I would have loved more shawarma in my serving... my plate was clean by the end of lunch. I only wish I didn't have to run off so I could have had some desert as well. This place was great, and if you are ever looking for something to munch on (even if you have a big group) you should certainly think about including this place in your list.

The menu is authentic, and the dishes are fresh and tasty. The fully licensed venue (BYO for wine only) also serves up a range of gluten free, halal and vegan dishes for those with special dietary requirements. Meals are perfect for sharing, so if you're looking for a restaurant that will cater for large groups, this is it. Prices are a little expensive, but the quality of the food makes up for it. Some of my favourite dishes include the chicken skewers, Shish Deluxe, coriander potatoes, mixed plate and rice pudding. Service is friendly and attentive, and the Saturday night belly dancer is pretty impressive too. Make sure you arrive by 8pm or you'll miss the show.

Throughout your meal, the wait staff are kind and go out of their way to fulfill requests. HIGHLY recommend with the hummus (and the amazing flatbread). Every dish was delicious, light, and topped with incredibly flavorful sauces that made for an all-around INCREDIBLE meal.

This is good in that you get to sample best of everything but drawback is you either have to be a gentleman or lady and hold back on going for seconds or be the greedy one. I was with a group of girls so I figured I was going to come out on top, but these girls had big appetites and I ended up on missing seconds mostly. The dishes are quite small so I think your going to end up having to order more then what you would normally but options were great. Some the food options we had were basturma, hommus & pickles ( nothing exceptional), haloumi with honey ( this dish had nice flavours and honey complimented it well) , chicken with zhoug ( tasted good and decent sized portion), pumpkin fatteh, with sour yogurt and pepitas ( pepitas really complimented this dish added a good crunch to the soft pumpkin ) , quail, fennel, currants & tamarid ( tasty dish but small and didn't get chance to savour it ) & final dish we had was fried cauliflower with almond tarator & mulberry molasses ( my favourite dish by far the cauliflower is perfectly spiced and creamy texture ). This place has a nice vibe. Small and intimate feel to it with nice cushions and decorated well. Would be great place for a date but think 3 people is enough to share dinner with unless you want to end up feuding.

Anyway, I ordered a wrap and couldn't really understand the menu, it seemed to repeat fries, pickles and chicken in the wrap. Then when it arrived I understood. There is a mammoth amount of chicken, fries and pickles IN the wrap - fries inside the wrap. Fries. Inside. The. Wrap. I think I woke up 3 hours later from a carb coma. Go here. We appreciated the portion of chippies but they were drier than the desert of the jacoran and appeared older than the ghosts of benjamin past. The chilli dip didn't pair nicely with the chippies which is always a warning sign. The burgies tasted kinda yum but a little dry and could've used a bit more slop. One of the friendjamin ordered salad with his chicky but it came with chippie instead and the extra bread and garlic dip were deemed useless. It almost made him ascend into the hall of shadows and scream with anger...We even ordered the burger that Tayta himself designed...The Friendjamin 3 had never met a chicken man like Tayta to be so cavalier with his reputation...
